The prices are obscene. I think it's okay to have a few high-priced items -- but this year is ridiculous. Because of that, I'm not participating like I did last year. I feel sorry for new users who simply don't have the sP to get anything new. I'm lucky enough to have the sP to buy everything if I wanted. At these prices, I simply don't want hardly anything.

And forget achievement hunting. I used to like to do it, but now it's all incredibly expensive. I'm really close to simply giving up on achievements completely. It's no fun when it's all about how much they can make us spend.

I live in MN, and whatever you've heard... It's much worse.

20K is pretty much free. It's nothing. It's literally what you get for selling one or two 20-point wizard token.

Someone pointed out that a SBQ wig will cost you 400K from the get-go. That in the cash shop, it's AT LEAST 150 csc, but will usually be in the 250 CSC range. Wigs are the most expensive wearable releases in every aspect of the site.

First of all, I like your username.

Seeing as very very recently Carl was giving out pirate items for relatively low cost, and some could be obtained by vending in OD, if you don&;t have the sP to spend on this, I&;m kinda curious as to why. Even after obtaining the pirate items I wanted, by selling the things I didn&;t want/need that I got for extremely low cost, I made tens of millions of sP. Only from the pirate event.

So yeah, I&;ve got no issue at all with the prices. The timer may be an inconvenience, but since it&;s only 5 minutes, I can deal with it. I like currency sinks.

I'm going to go and tell you, you're gonna be subeta-rich in no time if you keep that up. Congrats, you figured out the secret to make MAD MONEY.

Seriously, I fail to see how anyone can be POOR on Subeta. I went from literally 7K to 2.3M last weekend by quests alone.

If you don't want to make an effort, people, you don't deserve the boon. If you keep expecting handouts, you're not going to go anywhere on this site.

I'm not a completionist by any means, but I do have some items from the Geschenkboutique that I was eyeing. I ended up not spending too much because I only bought the items that I liked. I'm fine with the prices; the wigs are actually quite reasonable compared to the prices of other comparable, good looking wigs.

The only bad thing is that the Boutique is open in the mornings where I live. It's a bit of an inconvenience, but since I'm not looking to collect everything, I'm not too worried about the timer.

There are some cheap Boutique items like some of the Ale Crowns, by the way. I think the Ale store has some foods for a very good price (like, 1k). When you have some items at a "cheap" price for newer users, I think it's mostly encouragement. If they see that things seem way too expensive for them to attain, then they may feel discouraged and leave the site. Having at least a few items that are attainable for complete newbies is a good thing. We already have a few items like that, like the crowns. If someone wants to get absolutely everything then they can put into the effort to do so. However, I remember being a newbie here and being completely swamped by everything. I had no idea how to earn money! Ocean Depths is only accessible by the Omen Islands map, and I remember being so frustrated because I had heard that that was a great way to earn SP but it cost so much to get there.

Yeah, the prices are pretty ridiculous. I guess it prevents things from selling out, but it cost me over 2 mil just to get all the plushies.

That's far from ridiculous, considering that, if they restocked, they'd probably be selling for 10mil+ a PIECE, depending on their rarity.

I was really excited when I saw how cheap stuff was versus what it was being shown at in the item preview. My only dislike is that I work 3rd shift so I can't get any of the wearables but to be fair I don't really want any of them. But I see some people talking about books? Those I would like but they can just go on the wishlist. That excitement deflated however when I saw the achievements come out. I was planning on buying mostly for reselling next year when they will be harder to buy and more expensive but now I have to choose between the achievements and the reselling which is kind of a bummer. I just can't afford to do both. But I'm glad that it will be around next year too. I have no idea where I was last year for this I don't even remember it. So I kind of see where users are coming from on the 'too expensive' side.. But as long as they don't release a million new items and achievements next year hopefully people will be able to catch up a little.

Awwh, thank you! :D I like you too. It just seems logical that saving money is a good thing, so the complaints kinda took me off guard.

Actually I might start complaining since I paid 50 mill for at least two of those sausage beanbags...
O.o
Yeah, but look at how much those items would have cost if you bought them from a user to complete your collection versus buying them during this event.

Uhm, I did buy them from users to complete my collection. And 2 of them cost me around 120 million.

I was talking about how the prices are super cheap in the Alegarten shop compared to buying them from users though. I bought all the plushies and bean bags for this event and spent a total of about 4mill.

This is just the classic "Don't spend Millions upon millions on something because a year or two down the line they're gonna re-release in in mass/for cheap." story.

What? No I'm not still bitter about my Esther wig, why would you think that? shifty eyes

I prefer the prices being this high. It makes it so that if you want to have all of the items, you're going to have to devote lots of time and money to getting them - which is good because it's no fun if it's easy to get all of the items.

The prices makes you pick and choose what to pick, rather than just buying copious amounts of everything.

I actually don't have a problem with the prices - I have more of a problem with people pricing, in their user shops, an item you paid say 300K for at 350K in your shop. Come on! People drop prices here at utterly RIDICULOUS levels. An item goes from 5 million in a user shop to 350K. I mean clearly 5 million is a bit much considering people can easily get these items, but just a 50K profit? REALLY?

We still put significantly more sP into the system daily than we take out, even during Alegarten which is one of the only holidays where you have to pay a ton of sP for the items.

When someone spends their entire account worth on the alegarten items, they get their sP back pretty fast typically. The average user has 11 million sP, that number doesn't really change much after alegarten. It just means that people who didn't care about earning sP for most of the year end up doing all of their quests / playing games / etc for those days instead of whatever else they do. :)

Just a nitpick, label your graph. In the context of your post, I can make sense of it. Just don't get in the bad habit of not labeling graphs. does it all the time and gets yelled at by professor

Maybe we should have more sPs sinks like Alegarten. No need for CSC-related VIP; make it a richest-sPs-users VIP.

I actually broke pretty even all of Alegarten. Sure, I didn't want/already owned many of the items, but there were a lot of very expensive ones I did - like all of the achievements, which I basically had to buy all items involved, or all the plushies/beanbags/books/wigs.

By I broke even I mean I did all the quests every day, collected my pet's income, and item hunted (which I was at like level 10 or something to start). I'd not touch my bank, buy what I could with what I earned, and had everything I really wanted before the event was closed, and while my increase in sp was nil, I didn't dip into my bank either.

The point is, there's really no excuse to complain it's too expensive because it's quite possible to earn a lot of SP every day, and if you're active, you should have sufficient funds. If you complain you don't have time to do all the quests every day, I get that, but then I don't see how you can complain "I don't have time to make SP" and turn around and say "These items are too expensive" because what you're really saying is "I should be able to get the things I want without making a true effort to be able to get them". I don't think you mean to say that.
