I will be choosing the pet slot from my loyalty box. I am going to wait to activate it though because I don't have a GA currently so I am using 11 of 6 pet slots and there is a name I would like that is on an account eligible for clearing in February. How does a clearing work? Does that mean the pet names can be created by someone else?

Happy new year! I believe that once the name is cleared you can either create a new pet with that name, or rename an existing pet. That's how I got my Roderich. :)

Is there some way you can look at an account and tell if it's inactive? How do you do that? I'm thinking of going with an untaken name that I like, or surfing the pound til I see something great. I'm a long time user of Neopets, but when my account was cookie grabbed, it was impossible to get it back, TNT keeping to tell me to send a new ticket. My BD pet, my Werelupes gallery nearly finished and all the other things, lost ! I lost all motivation, create a new one just to check, and since they closed the Habitarium, I don't even bother to do my dailies. Finally, I'm playing again Subeta.

You can't tell from the search, but I'm pretty sure there will be a notice on pet profiles and user profiles that says "This account is eligible for deletion on ___" with a date. I know for sure there's a notice on inactive pets/profiles that says "This account is inactive" or "this pet is on an inactive account" and that you can change your username to that name, or create a pet or change an existing pet's name.

Welcome! I'm sorry to hear about your account, TNT can be real jerks. I first came to Subeta when I was frozen too, but I was one of the lucky ones and got my account back. I barely go there anymore, except for site events, though I do try to collect my bank interest every day.

If an account is eligible for clearing you will see a small box on the user's profile, at the top of the page, which says "This account will be eligible for clearing on (date) at (time)" There is nothing visible on the pet profiles of the pets on such accounts. But if the account is already inactive it will say so on both user and pet profiles. I do not know if there are other ways to tell or predict this. You might be able to use the "last seen" option (if visible) to gauge if a name may become available in the near future depending on how long a user can be inactive before their account is freed up.

I only found this out because I was searching names I like and found these various messages at the tops of some of the pages. The clearing one is harder to find because you have to go to the user's profile to find it. I am kind of worried others are waiting to try for the same name, but that is the fun of it. :-) Like the purge on Neo.

Sorry to hear about your Neopets account. TNT is so bad at customer service. Even with Jumpstart taking over I am worried the site is not getting better because of things like the closing of Habitarium, Keyquest still being broken, the almost useless battledome, and the endless site lag which makes doing anything difficult for me.

- That happened to me on a cool side account I got during the purge named "Jayden." Some asshole hacked it and now it's frozen. I go on neo to do dailies, but I really need to purge all my side accounts and just stop. It's a waste of time and I'm not enjoying it anymore.

I heard even for Premium members customer service is terrible now ! Oh yeah, that lag, feel like using a 56k modem. I believe they're losing more and more players but don't react. In my country language, all the boards are dead now (and so are the other languages ones too) and English ones, which used to be hyper-active are considerately slowing down. Last times I entered a Beauty Contest, I was shocked I didn't have to bump it very 2 minutes (but at least, less more stressful !) And I don't want to count how many I lost of real money with all the NC I bought before.

Gawd, the purge. I'm pretty sure I got at least one of my pets from the purge... one of my Peophins, I'm pretty sure... but it's so stressful. I love the fact that Subeta actually purges names in a timely manner.

I keep thinking I should clear my sides and just keep my main. I don't even bother putting them in the neolodge anymore and they're all sad. But I put so much work and money, both real and in-game, into those pets. I'm such a sentimental person, I can't bare to get rid of them. I'm also a lazy person, it'd be a lot of work! Plus no one plays Neo anymore, the LJ comm is pretty much dead too, and I wouldn't want all the stuff I'd amassed to go to jerks on Neo. :/

, , What problems are you guys having with the threads? I had a couple weird hiccuppy glitches yesterday but for the most part they've been working fine. I've been on one person's post for a while building up kisses for art, is there some recent bug?

When i post i get taken to a blank page with no posts on it. I can't seem to find my post when I try searching the other pages either. So other people see my post and kiss me, but i can't find my post to see who i should be kissing.

Yeah, that's the glitch I was getting yesterday. I was able to find my post eventually, though... had to go back a page from where my "recent posts" took me. It only happened twice though.

Aha, it works for me now! thanks so much! I was afraid to try it again and potentially deprive somebody of kisses :)

- That's the glitch I had yesterday, and I deprived a lot of people from getting kisses, so I feel like a jerk. :( But it's fixed now? Should I try it again or just stick with smooching you guys? That sounds kind of kinky.

I've posted a couple times on the main kiss board with no trouble, so it seems to have been fixed. But here's a kiss anyway. :)
