I am an adult of 33. I came from neopets. I also play misticpets as well. But I thought I would give this a try.

- Snarkie said something about it on her facebook. Compared working for Jumpstart to slowly dying. I also read that most of the staff found out just a couple of hours before they were laid off. I hate it for them.

- Hi! Welcome to our club of neo-refugees. I'm urdin over on neopets, but I rarely play anymore. Just log in and do my dailies. The lag and the wardrobe fail keep me from enjoying it. I'm enjoying subeta much more right now. :) I've never played misticpets. Is that fun?

Okay I know snarkie's tiwtter and tumblr, where is her facebook? She hasn't worked for neopets since September... when in March she was like super excited to work for Jumpstart, so maybe that should have been a sign...

I'm glad they released an official statement, but I can't help but wonder if they would have if the news hadn't been leaked.

Somebody posted in the JN forums that they know somebody at JS, who told them it wasn't just Neo staff getting laid off. Evidently a bunch of jobs are being outsourced. No idea how reliable that comment is, just throwing it out there.

waves long time board lurker here. I am a former Neopets player. I left in 2008 as I got very tired of all the censoring, especially in the guilds. I had to practically have a Thesaurus in my lap to come up with words that couldn't be construed as swear words (for example: "as soon as" was seen as a swear according to their filters). I've been 1/2 following the goings on in Neopets as my former guild members set up a facebook group so we could all still communicate.

Welcome! Yeah, the censorship was (is, I should say, cause while I don't ever do anything that requires typing over there anymore, I'm sure it's still there) so dumb... I get that they wanted to make it a child-safe sight but if you're going to have filters, at least do it correctly.

If you're asking about a Nostalgic Velosotor, not too difficult, since you can generally make sP pretty quickly.

You will need to bring to Vanya's Workshop (in Arctic Frost), and do Vanya's quest.

For the Velosotor, he will ask you for a and a couple of other things, shouldn't be too expensive.

Once you complete the quest, Vanya will give you .

Here is where it gets expensive...when you are ready, make the pet you want to turn Nostalgic your active pet, and then visit Vanya again, with the and an .

The is currently 4.5 million sP in shops, or 1500 CSC. Obviously if you look at the sP/CSC conversion rate, it is better to pay the 4.5m sP! This is because this item is a prize for visiting Melody every day during Luminaire (December), so there are a lot of them floating around. This also means you can get one for free next December if you don't want to pay 4.5m now. :)

If you go to the mistic home page and go to Help Site you can see all the pet colors and items. Its fine if you dont join. Just a nice little community, great art, and things to do. Currently they are doing a "mardi gras" event. I suppose you could always google Utopia misticpets. You can view my account on that site. haha I am making myself SO stalkable! :P

I had started in 1999 when the site first went live and I was willing to give Viacom a chance when they bought Neopets, but the restrictions were just too frustrating. I love the freedom of Subeta and the efforts the staff goes through to make Subeta a great place for everyone.

This is the Neopian_Adults thread! Everyone, please welcome my good friend, ! She's my long-time friend from Neopets, and I've visited her twice in real-life, too! She just joined Subeta due to all the lag and changes on Neopets, and I'm excited, as you can tell. :D

Yes it was evening. I did not get to play any card games. But a group came in and invited me to a small DnD game. It was fun. Though they did call me a noob since the first thing I did was go to a bar and get drunk. Then I said I wanted "private" time with a bar maid. They made fun of me. Im like--what? Im totally after information? ROFL. We were SO terrible. All of us rolled low numbers the whole game. Our Paladin was 1 point away from dying. rofl. Our Paladin even fell down the stars, on top of a rat. And the other rat was ripping his flesh apart. But did we kill any rats? Nope! Rather the gnome stabbed the Paladin in the leg when he was aiming for the rat. I was laughing so hard I couldnt breath. hahahaha

Cool! I have had a few friends in that area that taught english in the past. They all miss it. They took beautiful pictures while they were there. Made me want to visit.
