LJ just posted in the news recently that they're keeping the old-style friends page. If you use the url livejournal.com/friends it will show the old style (same layout as your personal journal) and if you use the url livejournal.com/feed it will show the new style. They still haven't brought back subject lines in comments, though, despite how much people cry for it. :/

It stocks randomly, one item at a time, only a few times per day. You just need to check a lot and be lucky. I keep a link to it at the top of my bookmarks and just hang out there a lot.

- The changes to neo look...interesting. I played hab for a while until it froze, then just never got back into it. I felt like I was a slave to the bugs, always worrying about putting them to bed, feeding them, etc. It was a moneymaker, though. I never played petpet park. It's interesting what you said about LJ. I'm still over there, but I find myself using Tumblr more.

Hey n_a peeps. I still play neo but not that much. Im in tumblr more and LJ, I only am their to check on gossip and the two communities I maintain.

Seeing this just made me really want to check on my old account. Before I quit I was in this really popular guild, and now to see what its become... its awful.

The squeaky toy is much better in most cases, so I would stick with that over the Pendant. I would also recommend upgrading your One Ring for a Reviver of the Lion, and getting a Phoenix Quill. The two of those together will help you get a LOT farther in battles. In tier 9, there's also the Bludgeon of Mass Extinction, which is fairly reasonably priced, and the Malignant Rift Staff, which scales up, so it gets better in tier 10 and really starts to shine in tier 11. I'd also recommend a 100% freezer. The Scientist Specs are really nice and quite affordable. Even if you already have a lower tier OPB freezer, you might want to upgrade to them.

As for scrols, unfortunately the best ones are pretty expensive. :( Eventually you'll want to get a Terra Focujin or Holy Deluge, but neither one is cheap. Singed Stuffing doesn't heal as much as Soothing Current does, but it has a decent attack and it's dirt cheap, so that might be something to look into.

I have been very on/off with Neopets since 2002, being mainly active from about 2003-2006. I've been checking back there a lot more the past few months, but mostly just to do dailies. It's changed so much and there are WAY too many restrictions, but I guess that comes with it being a site targeted towards children. I feel a lot more free to talk on Subeta, and I find the pets waaaay cuter on here as well. It's just overall more enjoyable. Neopets will always have a place in my heart, but it'll never be the same as it was back in the day.

Wow! Thanks for the great advice! I just bought the Phoenix Quill, Malignant Rift Staff, Scientist Specs, and Bludgeon of Mass Extinction. I'll stick with the squeaky toy and try to sell the pendant. That's too bad, I'd just bought it. I also bought The One Ring in the book drive shop -- do you think it's possible for me to find someone willing to trade it with Reviver of the Lion?

Ah, I do have Singed Stuffing! I stopped using it since it was weaker than the others, but I really need more scrolls that aren't OPB. Thanks! The other scrolls are on my wishlist. I'll have to save up for them!

The Reviver costs about 100 more RD points, so you probably won't be able to find a 1:1 trade, but you might be able to sell it for sP, and use that to find someone who has RD points left to sell. In tier 9 the Ring will still do the job OK though.

If you just bought the pendant, you might be able to get a refund if you open a ticket? I have no idea if they'll give it to you, but it's worth a shot. One thing I'll say about the pendant though is that it is useful against both versions of Cursed Effigy, because it does icons that he doesn't block.

Oh, and if you aren't already you should definitely be trying to do battle quests every day. You should be able to beat everyone up to the Gatekeeper, so that would be about an extra 10 stats a day! :)

I haven't, but Keith said the rate still isn't that high because you can still get CSC from them. Once that deadline passes, apparently they're going to bump up the rate again.
