Yeah, it was the same people that went to the cabin (thank you for remembering), the same ones that my brother and I proposed to in tandem. They are together, yes, and largely did it to hurt my brother and me. We know them well though, and know that it won't last because they're both awful people. (We're a bit naive and see the good in others before the bad.) I had the misfortune of briefly running into them this weekend; they laughed audibly after I passed them, and he said fairly loudly, "I feel like I'm on top of the world, don't you?" to her.

Enough about that though 😅 I'm so glad things are stable for you now, I remember them being rough for a while. It's terrible that you got fired, and just to supposedly save money? I agree, fuck that jerk! You're better off for having the time to live and experience life, and as long as you're able to keep the bills paid, that matters more. I hope he came to quickly regret that decision. And I hope too that you've enjoyed the time that's been freed up for you ^ ^ (I'm sorry I'm so long-winded! 😵‍💫😅)
