Oh my god, we're cheaper? That is somehow shocking, but my experience is very limited and I'm used to almost everything here being/feeling pretty restrictively (sometimes scarily) expensive.
Yes, I do have a good handful of places and things I'll take him to see and do! There is a big zoo and aquarium in a neighboring state; I'll take him to see the fossil beds at the river I live close to; I'd like to take him to a bourbon tasting since he likes whiskey and my area is famous for making bourbon. A friend of mine knows someone that might be willing to take us on a private ghost tour. But probably the single most American experience he'll have: he'll be here for Thanksgiving, and we're having it at my uncle's house this year. My uncle has a decent stretch of property, and that side of my family...likes to shoot guns for fun 😅 So he'll have an opportunity to try a few if he wants to, hahaha.
Also yes, living in a more free-spirited country with more culture, way better transportations systems and lifestyle, better weather, healthcare I don't have to be legitimately afraid to use, a healthier view of work-life balance, cheaper, and law-mandated paid time off of work that is separate from sick leave that they encourage you to take and won't leave you afraid of whether you'll be able to pay bills on time...will be fucking amazing 🙃
