I feel you on that. I fall into the 'what if I need it' category in all of my life. So much stuff around here I'll never need/use but still hard to part with. Get it from my dad I think. We only earlier this year started going through some boxes of stuff he saved. They had been in boxes for more years than we've lived here. Sad really. So much not in great condition anymore just from sitting boxed and unused.

I'll take a look at the minions. I don't actively collect them for the minion collection, but some pet TCs get them.
