Does your Mom have Medicaid and Medicare? Through Medicaid you can get paid for taking care of your Mom. My son gets paid for me. They also provide all kinds of ramps, chairs, devices, rails, etc. Idk what she could use, but they might have a bunch of choices that could help. I've had to call paramedics to get me up off the floor when I've fallen several times. They also pay for my alert response device with a button necklace in my room and one in the bathroom. If you don't have one you need it.

Can you convert any room downstairs closer to the bathroom into a bedroom?

Can you get Medicare for yourself? At least social security? I know you used to have had a job to get ss, but not sure anymore. There are a bunch of different programs. If you haven't, start now. It takes forever it seems. I never mind talking or listening. <3
