We were spared most of the blizzard part of Christmas. But it was just enough to mess up our plans and to miss the extra day off my brother got from work. We were going to use that day to take him some places that were new around here and to look at all the lights but with the roads and ice that day he couldn't even drive to the house from his hotel until dinner time and then with refreezing he left early. We've been mostly above average temps and rain since New Years but I know that will change. February is coming and I am expecting most of our snow then.

We took down our outside decorations on New Years Day since it was so warm. Still lit candles in our windows for another week though. All of our Christmas stuff is finally packed up and ready to be put back into the crawl space. Don't move as fast as we used to.
