sigh I hate it when whiners ruin things for others and wish they would just go somewhere else personally. I missed the giveaway and am hurt because I have been very vocal in my support of keith and this site.

Seriously, people need to stop being so selfish and think of others, this is a game that is supposed to be played in a community setting.

Its time for many to grow up or go IMO, sorry if this comes off harsh.

Please don't let a few complainers ruin the give-away for the rest of us who play quietly. The great give-aways are one of the elements of Subeta I have loved. If they want valuable pixels that they have to work hard for, let them go to that "other" site. It's one of the things I like about Subeta, I actually have a chance of aquiring some of the really great items, either by give-away or by working for it, without having to sacrafice my real time life. Please don't change it. The rest of us may be quiet, but are more grateful than the complainers are unhappy.

Shame on everyone. Shame on the people who whine and shame on the admin for doing the very opposite of listening more to what the users want. I don't want to be frozen for giving my opinion, so I hope I am not. But I just can't find the logic here.

If there are things people shouldn't say in the Complaining Forum, please PLEASE make a rule about it! That way the entire user base doesn't get punished for something that takes place in an area of the site that invites criticism!!

I got something wonderful from the giveaway. I am very happy about that, and grateful. My gratitude shows in my continued participation in a web site game that has held my attention for the last 2 years, nearly 3 years. I hate seeing the maturity level stagnate, and in fact, regress as the site ages. Everyone, grow thicker skin and mature up, not down. Everyone!

whoa....... there was a giveaway...... no way.

For the people that ruined it: you remind me of another site I used to be on called Horseland. it was a site that was kind of the horse equivilant to Myspace. You raised horses that were basically pages with information and what-not. The problem was: EVERYONE took it WAYY TOO SERIOUSLY, as if these "horses" were actually REAL. just like those horses: the giveaway items are just NUMBERS TYPED INTO A SYSTEM. It's not like they should mean very much to you anyway. AND you didn't lose any money getting them, did you? No. Somebody made another point about free items on a free graphix site they had, "Saying a layout [or in this case, a free item] is bad is like going up to somebody that just gave you a gift and slapping them in the face." It's absolutely true, no doubt about it.

For Keith and the Subeta team: You are amazing-- and I SWEAR I'm not just "sucking up". Those dipwads down at Subeta.org? They were insolent fools and only saw us members as big ol dollar-signs, what with wanting to take over Subeta for money purposes. But you guys took the time to try and sort things out-- FOR US! NOT for the money, but because you CARE. I understand, Keith, I would have taken the same route as you and stopped the givaway as well (but only because I'm excrutiateingly sensative). I know, many think it wasnt the smartest decision to make because you should never let people get to you. but the reason he did this, guys, is because he cares about the well-being of his users. Shouldn't we all care? I have no hard feelings against anyone here 1. because everyone makes mistakes and 2. once again "you can impress some of the people some of the time, but you cant impress all of the people all of the time."

What am I thankful for? Dude, you freakin gave us 250 bonus cash shop credits!! I got myself two wigs and I'm as happy as anything! Keith gave us MUCH MORE than that givaway-- one being the ability to come onto the site without any problems. ^^

I know all the stuff I've assessed in this here comment has already been brought up, so I don't expect my comment to be any different than anyone else's. I noticed a lot of people worried they'd get frozen for agreeing with Sataneal. please, nobody deserves to get frozen-- or any hard punishment for that matter-- even those people who ruined this event in the first place (maybe they deserve a firm slap on the back of the hand, but nothing too harsh). Karma exists, my friend, so those "whiners" are going to get paid back two-fold. I noticed Keith said before that people will get warnings if they say the givaway is unfair (which they did) but why? let them wallow in their own greed. Maybe they were having a bad day. You should love them all the same, but if they wanna act that way then just leave em by saying, "Ok, well, you have fun with your greed-- I'm gonna go over here and have a fan-darn-diddly-tastic day! ". I would say they were just trying to get attention anyway. rolls eyes

Anyway, I love you Keith and Subeta <3 and I love everyone one here-- even if I don't know you in any way shape or form (wow, I totally sounded like a hippie, didn't I?) No hard feelings here, no complaints. keith, you still have every right to handle this situation the way you want to handle it. and those "whiners" had every right to treat this event as they wanted-- they were only making themselves unhappy (well, until they ruined the event, then they were making everyone ELSE unhappy lol) If they didn't like whatever they got then that's just their problem shrugs

Sorry so many people complained; but as others have said, you're never going to please anyone. Thanks for what you guys have done for us.

And for those of you who keep saying only a small group of people got to participate: I saw the post about the giveaway shortly after it started, and there were about 600 people logged on at the time (I remember this because I was surprised so many people were on so late; that's actually why I checked the news). During the first half hour-hour, it slowly dropped to 500. That's NOT a small group of people.

well that's a bummer. I always thought one of the most fun features of the site was randomly planned HUGE give aways.

My suggestion? (and I didn't read through this entire thing of comments, if this was said already) If you do still want to do give aways, drop stuff into active users inventory. People won't complain nearly as much if it's not so public. People are ... by nature. >.>

In my opinion..lol Why is there a Bragging and Complaining Board? If you base the giveaways on that... then maybe removing that thread may be easier than taking the giveaways away Or maybe post rules about maybe just bragging or complain on things the site needs improving on, or giving highfives to the staff for doing a good job on something and etc. Or brag and complain about things that do not pertain to Subeta at all.I mean I loved the giveaways, I never got a legendary, but I have gotten a few rare items. And when I say few it means maybe 3, LOL.. I never got all pissy over it tho. I was glad to even have the opportunity to participate in the giveaway. No matter where, when or why there is always going to be some that are on the other end crying because they was not able to get anything. Just like when Feed the Minions came along. OH bless those that said they could never feed one, no matter what they tried. This site tries so much harder than others in trying to make it a fun place and whiners have to take it all away. Please Keith, I hope this is not your FINAL Answer, lol

Wow... gone for a week due to moving and come back and all hells broken loose. I really wish some people would be grateful for what they CAN get. I have probably been around for two giveaways and while I never got a legendary I never complained about what I DID get. It kinda sucks that a few ruined it for the whole. Figures I missed the last giveaway. I guess someone got grumpy because they missed a rare item and complained.

They should be happy that you got out of your way and even made a giveaway! Seriously, even though I missed it and it's the last one, I'm glad you guys are being considerate and trying to make users happy. :3 I guess no more giveaways is a better way to go. Sometimes it causes disruptions and messes up prices, but they were fun while they lasted. ^3^

I had the worst case scenario. I had restocked a Shinigami from Blackheart Hollow a few nights before the last BIG giveaway. The price difference because of this is bigger than anyone else can lay claim to.

Did I complain? NO! Do I hate giveaways? I love the giveaways. They are something that Neopets would never do because they are sos tuffy and people are to darn greedy. The pure joy of the the Giveaway and the Free Gift are whay endears Subeta to me.

Its a shame that I missed the giveaway -actually I've missed all of them-, yet what I can't understand is why people have complained about it, perhaps because they missed an item they got, I dunno. the fact is though is that the staff don't have to, and never did have to do giveaways, and know thanks to the irrating few they will never be one like this again, so in all I hope that they are happy.

Once again I have to agree with another person-xbubblyfungirlx. I to find it interesting that some people are saying they don't care. Come on please. Let's be real. I loved having give aways (and no I've never gotten anything amazing so I'm not saying this because I have) I've always found them fun and enjoyable. I really don't believe the people who say they don't care or that it's a great thing now that there won't be any. And quite honestly I think this board has gone on long enough. I think Keith should really get rid of this whole thing. It's just dragging out this conflict between users. All I can say is thank god the reputation system isn't in effect. People would be getting bombarded. Let's just stop all this bickering and move on. I think everyone is tired of seeing the same things posted over and over again. We get the point. End rant. sigh

exactly i totally understand where the users who agree with sataneal are coming crom. i mean if i get frozen or a warning for putting across my opinion thenwhatdoes that say about the owners of subeta. so a couple of people had a good old grumble about the giveaway... it doesn't call for a lot of people to start slating other users. a site like this is supposed to bring people together not divide them.

I keep seeing people posting that they never really liked them anyways,That is such bull,It's funny how a lot of the users on here ive seen on other boards during a giveaway talking about what they have gotten and how great it is. Get some courage and say what you really think instead of just following the crowd,Personally I think it stinks and I definitely disagree with the way it was handled. I'll admit I loved giveaways but it wont keep me from playing if they dont exist anymore yet at the same time I do wish Keith would re-think the whole thing because not everyone should be punished for other greedy a$$es behavior.

But I am upset that I had to miss out on it because of people -who DIDN'T miss out on it- were whining and complaining. I'm not complaining. I was just upset that they spoiled it for everyone else.

Oh...And thank you, Keith for the giveaway. It was a kind thank-you gesture. It's unfortunate that some people can't just be happy with that knowledge. =/

I do have to agree with the comment about how spoiled users are here. I see TONS of people in the forums with siggies asking for donations, and I dont understand it. This site is SO easy to make points on that if you cant, you should go back to kindergarten. The "adults" being referred to are probably 18 to 25, and that generation is nothing but spoiled brats, for the most part. Sorry if that offends, but it is the truth. If more of them took Keiths example of how to act like a true adult than maybe they would be treated that way. I know this is late, I just wanted to publicly thank them for ruining things for everyone. There are other people in this world, grow up and realize the world doesn't revolve around you and what YOU want. Thanks so much.

Children, children... always whining, complaining & throwing tantrums. Free is free, you should appreciate any items that you have the chance to get for FREE, no matter how big or small. If you don't like what is given away, leave it there for someone else to grab and appreciate; move along & EARN whatever it is you deem worthy of a giveaway item. Grow up! Stop ruining the game for everyone else.

Fnngh. I'm disappointed that the giveaways have been stopped. I rarely, if ever, caught them, but I'm not going to complain. It was fun when I did catch one.

I suggest that giveaways now go something along the lines of sending every user who has been active that week a package of four random items. They may be totally random rarities, only rarities above x, etc.

I'm sorry so say this but it should have been the support's job to calm down the people, both sides, and to find a solution but instead you overreacted. You have to accept there will always be people not satisfied with what you do. I think it was kind of ridiculous to delete posts in â€œBragging and Complainingâ€. I myself do not feel comfortable enough anymore to post on there because well, any discussion of some whining or my opinion can get deleted just because you don't like it or because your feeling are hurt. I already said this but I can repeat it again: do not let your emotions take over when dealing with online gamers. It's a no-go, it would get me fired in an instant. Of course some people where whining but why not let them in the appropriate board? I hardly saw some rude comments, mostly people who said they've missed the giveaway and some sad people. Congrats because you've managed to put the blame completely on these very few people that 'hurt you'. That's the easy way out, just show the community the bogeyman. Dealing with unhappy users is your responsibility. I was happy to see a second round of the giveaway, but then you added garbage just to mock these already unhappy people. I saw your newspost and I was shocked and then you've stopped the whole thing. It was your decision to overreact and to flee from a tricky situation and it was also your decision to put the blame on a small group of users. Which worked apparently because now everyone doesn't seem to have the guts anymore to criticise and I can only see people complaining and accusing other players. And of course they act nice and shower you with love because they want their giveaways back and are a bit scared so they join the â€œthose evol users ruined itâ€ group. Subeta is still small, I know you love your users but the bigger such a site gets the more you need an unbiased view and learn how to deal with conflicts or not very popular decisions. I wish you all the best for the future and hope there won't be another chaos like this again. Please do not take everything personal and keep in mind that also people who criticise you love the site, they love it so much that they even get upset or have a moment of madness because they are bound to the game emotionally.

I'm really amazed by all the child like behavior that I see...from other users and staff! I won't bother to read what some (small amount of users wrote) but I went straight to the news when I logged on and read what was wrote by staff...I can't believe that all of us will be punished for afew.....if you wanted to reward all of us for sticking beside you then you should of sent us all a small package of the same things....when you said move to ws....I did without a question...I spend money every month in the cash shop...and had no comment what so ever because I was at work and had no clue about a give away going on.....but I'm being punished...punished for being a member of this site....thats nice!

Not really complaining about not getting stuff, just agitated from the day. More or less the simple saying that a few rotten apples ruins the fun for the bunch. That's about all.

But I also agree to why they did it. Oh wells. Anyway Keith and the staff do their best to keep the site running as is. That I'm already thankful for. I don't really think I have to defend what I said despite what kind of mood I was when I said it, after all right now there words which people sometimes take too much to heart.

I really have no inclination to go and read the forum comments. I daresay their comments will only give me the irrates. I hope my opinion is as valuable as those who've upset you. I feel the occasional giveaways add a touch of excitement to the site. Like many, I was offline at the time of the giveaway and do not begrudge the luck of other players who were on during that time.

Its not the end of the world, you'll survive with out getting anything free from Keith and the rest of the team. Not everything in life is free. This is a real shame that I logged on and noticed the giveaway and then also noticed at the same time it had ended because of some people whining. I totally agree in that way but a little upset that now they've ruined it for those that appreicate such things.

I loved every giveaway they've had here and have always been deeply thankful and to learn a few spoiled bunch whined for their own reasons were all getting the blunt end of the stick... well the rotten apples ruin the fun for all. I'll live of course its just disappointing to see behavior like that from people so it does ruin it for the rest of us.

Awww, this is too bad, really. I loved the giveaways, but I guess they're over.

I'm sorry for all the comments and behaviors that made Keith and/or the staff decide not to have giveaways with so-called 'good' items. It was rude and if I was Keith, I'd have come to the same conclusion, truthfully. Maybe one day some people will treat Keith and the staff like people and not like item vending machines.

I, for one, even though I haven't been on the site long, truly appreciated this giveaway and 'all' the nice gestures I've seen since I joined. That, and the wonderful owner and staff and members, make this my favorite place to come to when I have some internet time. ^^

I think it's a tiny bit sad you would end something that about 80% of your users truly are grateful for because a small majority whine a little (or a lot...). Either way though, It's easy to see where you're coming from.

Maybe one day you'll reconsider, I know for myself I rather enjoy popping in, grabbing an angelic potion, and poppin' out. It's a nice treat.
