Subeta -

Welcome everyone, to the new subeta. The site is now up for everyone.

You may notice that certain areas of the site don't work. This is because we have made the change to a CSS(/div) driven website, instead of tables.

So the areas of the site that use tables, will have some problems. The next few days will be spent updating the entire site to match the current scheme of this layout.

Which means, yes, you will have to update your profiles, and <a href=user.php?act=customcss>customCSS. However, like I said, this layout is completly driven by CSS and div's. Which means that you can completly customize every aspect of it. Make it whatever you want.

At the moment there is only one version of the layout avaible. However, once the site is working on this version, more schemes (color/headers) will be put on the site.

The new layout is nice, but really confusing. But the site is much prettier than it was previously. I'm sure the site will be quite wonderful when all the bugs are fixed.

Where is the regular search? I think I lost it. XD

My lookup is hiding waaayy at the bottom of the page. Plus my computer now acts up when try to click to view someone's profile. CSS is easy, right? I'm too lazy to make major changes to my lookup.

Oh well. I'll be happier when I get use to it. Everything's scattered everywhere. o.o

I like it, but... I used the silver low-bandwidth one, and I had really grown accustomed to the way it looked/worked.

I like it though, good job.

I love it. I go out of town for TWO DAYS and the site changes MAJORLY.

I've only been on here 2 weeks, so the only layout I know is the blood splatters, (which is more mature for us OLDER folk, haha) However, I have NOOO idea how these things are even planned, and though I liked the old layout, its ur site Keith, so good luck with all the new plans.... I can hardly wait to see them...

I liked the old layout better... This one... Even though it probably took a long time and alot of effort to put together, is rather cartoony and childish, whereas the pets are getting less cartoony and less childish.(I mean, there's a pet colour with blood in it! >&gt Yes, I know I'm repeating what someone else said, but I forgot who said it. is too lazy to look through all the comments

I'm CSS clueless... I've done very little work with it. Also... this is going to make the site much more noticable to passersby at work. I won't be able to check it as often. Before, I was able to change the layout to one that wouldn't be so obvious to someone taking a look over my shoulder.

I'm planning to get a new layout anyway, so I'm not that bothered about scrolling down 20 feet to get to my info on my profile.

Overall, I love this new layout, though I, like many others, miss my old layout. That classic one was just so cute! ^^

However, I think the larger fonts make the sidebar too long, and I have to scroll down more to get to links. Only a tiny bit more, but enough to annoy me. And the huge time display loooks almost deliberately partonising, as if I can't read.

Stiilll.... I chose the wrong time to go on holiday, didn't I? No-one has to bother about anything I say. I'm just going to try and flow along with the tide. Thank you very much to the staff, who have obviously worked really hard to get this together for us users.

I personally think the change to CSS is a great idea, and once the little bugs are ironed out I'll like it even more. x3 The top banner, though, is really cute, but it bugs me that there's no pet in it. </3 It'll be nice to have some other themes to chose from, so I'll look forward to that.

I know it's a daunting prospect to learn a new coding style, but CSS is so easy once you get used to it... if a complete doofus like me can learn it, anyone can. x3 So I hope too many people don't despair over the whole CSS thing. It's your friend! The people who suggested a tutorial were on the right track, I think; it seems like a swell idea.

None of them. They were deleted for a reason. This layout is obviously still being worked on.

And to Julie, no one's being disrespectful. I'm sure there have been things that you've disagreed with, whether or not you said anything about it. People can state their opinions, especially with something like this.

I understand and the work that went into this, but...

Bleh. I don't like it. It's awesome, very well done and all, but I don't like it. It just makes me thinks it's for kids. Little kids. And I just don't like that... I don't know anything about CSS either. So that doesn't help... I liked the old one better. It is good though if I look at it... Just not my style.

I love the new layout .
I like the larger print because it gives
those of us, like myself, who are disabled a fair chance to enjoy subeta. Not many sites online are disable friendly.

The site didn't change at all. Its still the same fun Subeta its always been. Only the layout changed to make the site even more fun and user friendly. The site is much faster with the new layout so why are people complaining about it.

I support Subeta and I'm happy to see the new changes. Don't be so disrespectful to Keith and the staff who worked very hard to make this layout for you. Give it some time and you will see how great it is .

I don't really see the "fresh and clean" that people seem to like calling it... all I see is baby huge horrifyingly mixed with professional smalls. And I liked looking to the side for my user info. T_T The top is just so annoying, I never look at the top.

Y'know, for the people complaining, how about Keith, you put the old layout as a layout, so they can have it if they want it? 0_o; .. that's an idea. Then they could use the old one and stop complaining about all the hard work that's been put into this layout.
