Esmerelda doesn’t have time for your nonsense. She’s busy deciding on the latest fashion trends and working to keep Subeta looking stunning. Details of the populace’s incompetence do not interest her.

But many things displease Esmerelda. Many MANY things. You’d have to try really hard to get her to stop what she’s doing and focus on you, though. If you can figure out what it is you have to do to grab her attention, be prepared for a one-on-one appointment with the most scathing personal critique of your life. That’s all.

Once you unlock Esmerelda, she will appear in the Secret Tab. Unlocking Esmerelda is not limited to just this month like with our Throwback Challengers. While we'll continue releasing a challenger on the second Thursday, you'll have plenty of time to unlock them.

I just opened my wardrobe, sort it by adding on Subeta, go to last page and equip maximum of items (30). Then go to SBQ and get her. Ez. Don't know, if I get it because I had REALLY lot of items on myself, or because they were too old...

It worked. I'm guessing it's more than one item, something to do with rainbows or a whole crapton of colors all at once, and having a Subeautique invite redeemed

wow is it just me, or is her prize (the one that we can't afford) a little out-dated? and how long has she been wearing that dress...hmm :P oh, but i guess i'd better not say that too loudly, she'll probably never drop another invite for me ever again...

I spent a looong time refreshing a tab I had opened to the Subeautique when, apparently, I should have been on my currencies page going there directly. Same outfit but I had closed my tab, went back to my currencies page to re-open the Subeautique, got the challenger, so I do believe that made the difference.

Older items might have something to do with it, since fashion is always evolving and she even retires older sets from her shop pretty regularly. So I guess one of the requirements might be wearing items that are at least a certain number of years old or something (or older item IDs), but I'm not sure what the other requirement would be.

I just chucked on a bunch of the oldest items on site that I have, and that seemed to do it (sorted my wardrobe by 'time added to site' and 'ascending' and only wore things from the first page). I don't think it was anything to do with colour. It might be old items in general or a particular type.

Still no solution? It's either pure evil genius or deceptively simple. [Spoiler=New theory?] 's working outfit and tips have me scratching my head, as it disproves a lot of theories. I can't see any colours unless they meant "arid" and "angelic"? But the only item in the outfit I used that'd fit a Subeta/ colours theme says "grave" and not "graveyard" and a lot of other reported working outfits don't seem to fit that either.

Maybe it's something the outfits don't have? Like: "9 or more items and no shoulder layer" or something along those lines?[/spoiler]

Seems to be whatever you toss on. I tossed on a bunch of random items, and I unlocked her. Buy a SubQ Invitation (or use one you've got lying around) and go visit her. She'll pop up as an unlocked hidden opponent!! As long as it looks like a tornado hit you, she'll pop up, I'm sure.

-Just use whatever's in your wardrobe. -Apparently you don't need to use rainbow but go ahead to make your outfit pop. -Doesn't matter what layer it's on; it seems any layer will trigger it.

you get drops all the way up to two hundred. I got a Tome. Sometimes with Johannes and with her you get nothing. I don't know if this is intentional or not.
