Game of the Day: Stealth Bomber!

Hello again, EPICon fans!

Now, I'm sure you've all heard about the unfortunate conflict that complicated things at the last EPICon. It seems like those two boys have been able to forgive and forget, but the EPICon staff still isn't excited to be the venue for another rumble this year.

Still, there's nothing wrong with a bit of healthy competition, is there? And competitions are best when winning gets you fabulous prizes! That's why we have decided to feature a different game for each day of the convention, and give you a chance to win EPICon Prize Points. These points will be able to be used at the end of the convention in our exclusive prize shop!

The featured game today is a blast from the past, the card game Stealth Bomber! While more popular on Atebus, I am sure you Subetans can still kick some serious butt! You can earn up to 10 points for trying your very best at this old-school game. Additionally, if you manage to win, you can earn an additional 10 bonus points!

There was a bit in the scoring that we couldn't fully test ahead of release, which, wouldn't you know it, had an error in it. Don't worry, though, games finished before that was patched will still count toward your EPICon points!

There are still some bugs in the game.. I'm getting extra cards added to my hand when it's not my turn, or there will be no decrease in my hand when someone is supposed to draw from me.

Ahhh yes the lag was fixed!! I managed to get the 10/10 wins and bonus points for epicon AND the 25 win book. Last night was a pain in the butt with all the bugs!

Thanks sooo much for the fixes! The lag is gone now (might be due to the smaller amount of people online though) and with the possibility to see how many cards which opponent has it actually starts to make sense now when you lose/win.

Is this really the best game to choose when it takes at least a minute to load a single page?

And can the Games of the Day be announced at midnight, especially if the scores are going to be reset at midnight? This really isn't fair to people in other timezones.

Quoting Grelca here from the board about the glitch yesterday: "The game isn't going away, you'll be able to play it FOREVER and gain points from it for the whole of EPICon (the extra bonus points are the only thing limited to the game's duration as the featured game). However, Stealth Bomber will be the featured game again for tomorrow (though that was already planned, it's not related to the bug)."

So, it reset to 0 so you can work on getting your points (both regular and bonus) for today!

Wait, what? xD Scores reset at midnight? Doesn't make much sense considering the news released this at 1 pm ish and fixed glitches later in the day. Not even 12 hours passed let alone 24? :C Derp. This is what I get for being on a different time zone, oh well. xD

Okay I just got the achievement for winning 10 times, yet on the epicon page it says I've only won 7 times. I want it to count all my wins if I got me an achievement.

Not really wrong, site has been lagging or even bugging more than often today for nearly everyone. Try it again, seems like it is now much better, performance wise.

Getting the same thing as the people below-- I was on a game and doing fine, then suddenly patch happened and now I keep switching between /three/ games, my original, the one I got when I tried to get my 3000 back from the unpatched game, and the game i got after trying to forfeit my original game when getting my 3000 didn't work. I am terribly confused now. @ Definitely hoping for an extension or ways to get EPICon points despite glitches.

I got booted out of here for most of the day due to the Cloud Flair site unavailable message everywhere. The game keeps looping around to the do you want to play screen and won't even let me finish any game I try to play. Am I doing something wrong?

They are patching, so random things may happen... like winning twice then, surprise, it's bugged and 3k back.

Wow..what is going on in the background of this game? Major bugs all of a sudden. It's bouncing between a couple different matches and keep getting invalid moves. I just need 1 more win. Ugh!!!!

Given all the glitches, I hope we get to more than just noon tomorrow before the next game is released. :/ I haven't even been able to muddle my way through even five games, and I have to go to bed in order to go to work tomorrow. :/ I don't mind not getting all the points, but if I can't even attempt to get all the EPICon points, then that's just no fun.

(I do like the idea of focusing on games, rather than rehashing the 2010 event.)

I... I have no idea how I'm supposed to win 25. I've been stuck on my first game for a while, despite it saying that it's not glitching. It seems to think I'm playing two separate games at the same time, and whenever I try to discard a pair, it thinks I'm on the other game and I don't actually have a match.... Auuuugggghhhh......

Okay so I was playing and it seemed to ramdomly change between two different hands so I forfeited and it is not even starting properbly anymore? I click on play and it just goes back to the "want to play?" page again

Opened the site in a new incognito window on Chrome and the lag seems to have lessened some. There is still some lag but not as bad as it has been all day. Only 2 more wins to go for 10 wins of the day!

This game is strange, when it's over there's nothing that says whether I won or lost. It just asks if I want to play another game and I'm like WTF happened? Where do we see how many epicon points we have?
