Game of the Day: Stealth Bomber!

Hello again, EPICon fans!

Now, I'm sure you've all heard about the unfortunate conflict that complicated things at the last EPICon. It seems like those two boys have been able to forgive and forget, but the EPICon staff still isn't excited to be the venue for another rumble this year.

Still, there's nothing wrong with a bit of healthy competition, is there? And competitions are best when winning gets you fabulous prizes! That's why we have decided to feature a different game for each day of the convention, and give you a chance to win EPICon Prize Points. These points will be able to be used at the end of the convention in our exclusive prize shop!

The featured game today is a blast from the past, the card game Stealth Bomber! While more popular on Atebus, I am sure you Subetans can still kick some serious butt! You can earn up to 10 points for trying your very best at this old-school game. Additionally, if you manage to win, you can earn an additional 10 bonus points!

There was a bit in the scoring that we couldn't fully test ahead of release, which, wouldn't you know it, had an error in it. Don't worry, though, games finished before that was patched will still count toward your EPICon points!

I added about the forfeiting aspect in my post after that.

I don't think the points end there I think that's just where the book achievement is.

I just won a game but he forced me to choose another card and keep playing so I had to win AGAIN in order to make it end. Hahaha! amused 8'D

My guess is the highest awarded will be only to 25 games.. since the achievement's highest is 25.

It says 'try your hardest' for the ten points, so I'm assuming if you forfeit you don't get any points at all, you have to play until the end and lose.

wait up hold on. how do we see our points if the currencies one is 2010? i want to know if i'm actually gaining anything from this game. or is it just a big secret or something. idk i dont pay attention to things

It's " UP TO 10 points for trying your very best..." Plus 10 if you win. I'm not sure how they figure points for just playing though...

Well I've lost 3 and only won 1 so far, so I've lost some money, but all I have to do is keep the item tag page open and tag a few items to make it back. 3K isn't too bad.

I think this means if you just start the game and forfeit you don't get any points, at least not 10 points. This might also be why you can't see how many points you get so people just forfeiting are just losing sp or aren't sure how much of a gain they actually get from endless forfeiting.

Logically there are 4 players, the game doesn't seem to be weighted you have a 75% chance of winning aka you lose 1 out of 4 games. So if you pay 3k (price to play) * 4 games that's 12k. If you win 3 games * 4k (payout) you get 12k. Apparently the game is set to break even unless it's weighted but I've easily won three games in a row so I don't think it is. nobody is losing Sp here.

What I mean is that someone could just sit and forfeit as many games as they make time for, paying 3K and losing obviously but wracking up Epicon points like crazy.

I feel like you have a greater chance at winning than you do at losing so you really aren't 'losing money' if you spend all day playing it. You pay 3k to play and you get 4k back if you don't lose. You might lose a few thousand play all day, but you don't have to spend a lot of money on it imo

Lauralove - The Points on the Currencies Page are for the 2010 EpiCon so that's why the count doesn't go up there.

Though, as this event seems to be about games, I'd suppose that whoever spends more time gaming gets more points, unlimited. Don't quote me on that, though.

I'm aware it's 2013. XD And, though I wasn't here for 2011, I'm aware that the points are different, but is there anywhere to see how many we have? Since the errors and everything, I just want to be SURE that I'm actually getting awarded.
