I really like warador's new clothes but the hat needs to be fixed and I liked his old face better with the bigger eyes. :)
I reaaaally don't like the new warador's hat.... It's just.. Nyeeeh.
Glad to see that Warador is finally getting some love in a revamp and to me, everything looks great except for the hat and the face. Its probably just preference, but the hat (or the tassels anyway) looks too thick and, along with the collar, appear to be taking up a lot of space on and around his head. Which leads me to the next point, which is that Warador's face seems kinda off as well, almost squished; the eyes in particular seem small and cramped compared to the older version.
Other than that, the revamp looks awesome and is definitely needed for poor Warador.

honestly, these revamps were are and will be pretty stupid until you put up a poll that has an updated version of the original (art skillwise) and a new version of the same pet. these artists have skill but they lackj imagination, these revamps detract from the spirit of the pet.

I would suggest making the eye more bright and glowy so it stands out and looks unnatural/magic like the old one, making the hat a more medium size (the old one looks too thin to me and the new one looks too thick), making the body a bit thinner, and making it look more like it's looking at the viewer instead of staring off into space. I'm not sure how I feel about the skull on the neck. I like it there, but I feel like the hat is too bare without it and having the skull in both places would be too much. Maybe you could move the skull to the hat and put an oval or diamond shaped gem/cameo type thing on the collar. However, my biggest concern is how the staffs will look on other colors of Warador. My favorite thing about them has always been that the different common pose Waradors all had differently shaped staffs (Arid's diamond, Dusk's moon, Twilight's star, etc.) and above all else I would like to see this preserved in the revamp.
You can always overlay the new Warador with the old one if you like it better...
The new Warador is excellent. It doesn't look so...juvinile and joker-ish. It looks more like the name of the pet that it's supposed to be - a warador. I always imagined the pet to be a darker, slightly evil kind of pet. This new look seems to make it perfect. I, of course, voted for the new version. Well done. Looks like this pet is gonna win the new revamp by a land slide! :D
I like the old hat better. And the old one looks more plushy. I like that about the old one.
I would also just like to add, that changing the placement of the skull would (imo, at least) meant that all the special colors(glade, glacier, reborn, nightmare, etc) would need to be revamped too, to reflect the new placement... and while some of them need a little work ( my poor bloodred for one, but don't change his evil, insane grin) some of them are just perfect how they are already.
The rendering on the new warador is great, but the mood has changed, and I'm all about the mood of my pet. The old waradors seemed cheeky and a bit defiant, and the new waradors seem depressed. The difference that make this mood change happen are:
I'd just like a little more "oomph" in the warador's nature, so he seems more like a rebel jester than a sad clown.
Oh my goodness very much yesssss. If the artist can spend just a wee bit more time rendering out that hat it would be perfect. Right now the way the contour is on that top point its looking like its a V shape all the way down to the little dangly~ Also consider there would be like a little pooch or fold underneath that since its coming forwards at us! Very awesome design though kudos to you!! 8D
My eyes are drawn to the newer version, but I like the skull on the hat a hell of a lot more than on the collar, (though I'm happy it's there at all) and it's a smidge too dark. I liked the bright color of the Waradors. :( What people said about the nose was also true. It doesn't bother me too much but I much prefer 's version more.
I guess the big question is, would the other Warador colors still have their unique staffs? Right now, all the "common" colors have different staff heads/spears and I'd hate for that to be lost.

though for he Warador, though I love the new cape and general update, I really do wish that the head, hat and upper part of the original cape would have stayed.. I'm not really a huge fan of how those turned out.. I really liked the original with the style, though I do like some of the changes that the update promises ^^ I really like the general outfit and the darker tone of the Warador, though I personally would've liked it better if the high part of the cape stayed and kept the original face and hat. but other than that, it's awesome! ^^
I liked the old versions hat tons more. To me it looked better design wise and had a much nicer skull placement, The glowing eye needs to be brighter on the new one too. Other then those 2 things, it's pretty nice. ^_^
i like the more rouge-ish look of the old warador, but I do like the new style. so conflicted.
The new Chai looks absolutely adorable, but something about the Warador looks "not-Subeta" to me. The lines on its face are pretty thick and the shading, especially on the hat, looks a bit too blocky/sloppy. The hat is a bit too large, as well.
I really love the added details, though--the subtle checked pattern on the cape, the revamped staff, and the frills around its neck were all a great touch. Perhaps this suggestion is a little too radical, but why not nix the "evil living plushie" idea and make it into something organic? I think the design could be more successful that way, though I'm sure a lot of peoples' personalities and etc. for their Waradors would be ruined if that happened.
I think you should just get rid of the Warador. Nobody likes em anyway.
For the first time in, like, forever, I voted for the new version of a pet.0.0 Didn't see that coming.
However, I do have a couple of issues. The hat absolutely reminds me of something made in 12 hours on Project Runway, from leftover scrapping items, while Tim Gunn stood by and expressed his concern. I'm not great at discussing art, so forgive me, please, if I don't convey this well. I think it's because the shading looks different from the rest of the pet - or maybe it's because the ball thingee is almost in the one eye, and it makes it difficult to tell what is what unless you stare at it for a bit.
Also, I like the skull on the cloak, but I really miss it on the hat. On the hat, along with the brim the skull is inset in, it adds structure to what would have to be, in its current form, a very, very floppy garment, and provides reason to expect the points to not all just be hanging down around its neck, the way they currently are. It would also provide a reason to get that one bell-thingee up away from the eye, so there isn't quite so much visual confusion between them.
And I kinda miss the floofy scarf . . thingee, tied under the brim of the hat. I definitely don't like the way the hat seems to tie under the chin - or is that the back of its cloak? Maybe consider working on that to make it more defined?
tl;dr Pet yay, hat woe.

I really love the new warador! I've never wanted one before but this revamp makes me kind of want one. C:
The only issues I have are with the face and hat. I know a lot of people have mentioned these things, but sometimes another opinion can help. The area where the eye and the forward bell is, is confusing. Because the edge of the bell touches the edge of the eye, it makes them look like they're next to each other when they're not. It makes it look kind of flat. Moving the bell just slightly away from that eye so there's a little bit of visible space there would help a ton. I think that's the issue that's causing people to think it looks weird. I really like the new shape of the hat but the shading doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the pet which makes it look a little bit like it's pasted on from an older pet. I think if the lines showing the inside shapes of the hat were more soft and made more with the shading instead, it would help.
The chai really does look amazing. No critiques there. C:
The Chai looks really cute :3. As for the Warador, while it's not a favorite pet of mine, I must say the revamp is lovely, the normal eye looks...weird, I like the old version's eye better and the hat could look my plushie-like, like how the old one is..keeping the feathers would have been nice I think as well, other than that I say the revamp of it is nice :)
On second look, the hat looking flat might just be the size of the two tendrils on the side.
Warador:
-Neck down looks great. Really great. Cape ruffles, hands, feet, etc. -I like the old nose better, and I think adding it to the new one would help a lot. The whole right eye area is kind of funky and not having the point of the nose there would help. -The hat redesign is ok by me, but I do think it looks a little flat. Just like it doesn't have a big round head in it. Adjusting the bits between the spires would be enough, most likely. -The right eye (his right) looks like it's in front of the bell right next to it. I realize it's not, but moving the bell a little in either direction would help a lot.
For the Warador, I like everything below the head, it is fantastic. The head looks... off :c
I think the old style head on the new body would be PERFECT. I'd totes get one.
My issue with the Warador isn't so much the hat as the fact it looks about 8 months pregnant! I actually like the smaller body on the old one, other than that most of the features of the new design look pretty spiffy.
Just tweaked the nose and mouth a bit.
I think the large hat is growing on me somewhat...
I really like the Warador update the only thing I personally think looks a little odd is his hat, it's not that it doesn't look like a hat because It does to me. I just think it doesn't look like it's made of material anymore , more like plastic? it's probably just the shading.

I'm not a Warador fan so I'm a bit indifferent, but I agree with others who've said the hat doesn't really look like a hat anymore and now it's just an odd sort of headpiece?? Idk I don't really "get" the new change. Overall I really love the new cape and color scheme though, but the head/hat is bothering me.
I rather like this warador revamp, but something about the head bothers me a bit. From the neck down its amazing, I love the new cape! The ruffles and skull was a nice addition. However the head and the hat... something just seems off about it and I'm not sure what. Could be just because I'm more used to the old one.
I think its the heavy looking hat and the brow bone to the left that bugs me. Also its more prominent "nose".
The chai is amazing of course.
I think both the revamps are great. Love the cape and hat on the Warador, and the eye, which is more menacing now. I do agree, though, that the Warador looks less threatening overall with its little pout. That's not a critique from me, just an observation that the species has changed character somewhat with the revamp.

I love everything but the Warador's hat. I liked the slender version. It gives the character more motion and makes it look less like it's wearing an Escalade.
I feel like the hat is really awkward looking on the new one. It just seems too big and less jester-like.

Le gasp I love chai's! So adorable!! I don't have any basic colored ones though, I have happily colored all the ones I own! :) The Warador looks awesome!! Maybe I will have to add one to my family one of these days.

For the Warador, I'm kind of confused as to why there is a poll in the first place when there wasn't one for some other revamps. I'm guessing that the majority of people would vote for the new one anyway if only by virtue of the fact that there's a drastic difference in art quality. It's not a choice between two different new revamps, so it seems that you should already know what the results will be...
Anyway, I personally don't have much to say about the Warador, but I hope the artist might take into account some of the feedback people have left here so far before releasing the final version. :)

The coloring seems really strange, the face looks cramped and lacks the expression we all distinguishably identify as a Warador's, I preferred the skull on the hat rather than on the cape, the cape ruffles by the neck just look off and the wand ...

Love the revamp, except for the hat. It doesn't look like a hat. I guess everybody is saying that, though. xD But yeah, I agree, it'd be better if you slimmed the giant fat protrusions down a bit and enlarged the bells some.
I like the Compromise that Frieda has! The bells look better so can live with them on that hat design :D

I actually don't like the Warador... :c The colors seem too dark and the hat looks really deformed (and not like a hat). Oh well, I never really wanted one anyways. //cries.//
There's something off about the Warador. I mean obviously it's better in terms of shading and color, but that hat looks more like deformities in a weird way... I do like the bells though.
Like some others in this news post, I like everything about the waradow revamp except his face. The new face looks like a lost apprentice who's slightly confused about something, whereas the old is more neutral yet potentially ebil. I like the bigger eyes on the old one and the shape of the antlike face (the newer makes me somehow think of the smurfs and euggggh, that's not a thought I want to experience on Subeta).
