I'm gunna agree with everyone about the wings. If the wings were sturdier, the new art would be perfect. The art quality is good, the colors are good, every thing is lovely regarding everything else but the wings!
Please please please let the angelic demi be next on the revamp list crosses fingers

The new art is very pretty, but I like the old pose too much to vote for it. The new art just doesn't seem right, and I have the same problem with the wings especially that so many other people mentioned.
voted for the old one because of the wings, I've always thought that it doesn't mater how you shade/color it if you can't get the outline to look good xP just my opinion.
This revamp is super cute! C: My only concern is that the bend of it's wings make them look rather floppy and weak. I think making them straighter like the original would really give them that strong swimming wing power that penguins have!
I really was waiting for the cybill to be revamped for a while since it looked so out of place. I love the new one, it's a big improvement, though like what many have mentioned the flippers look strange and the old pose made the Cybill look very jolly than the revamp looks timid. I also feel that its beak should be a little broader to fit with the recent cybill colours.
The old cybill looked like it was up to something, a silly, prank pet. The new one just looks happy and misses that silly thing. Thats what bothers me the most. I can live with the flippers but it misses that silly expression/pose

Well, saying it's not penguin-inspired would be like saying that a Feli is not based on a cat and so on... I may have overread it, but I guess nobody said "Make it look more like a penguin!" but gave constructive critism to make this pet (whatever you call it) look even better. ^_^
Love the new artwork, miss the old pose. But either way, this one is still a big improvement, I'm all for it <3

I think the updated version is muuuuch cuter and I actually prefer the shyer look to the previous sillier one. I would actually really like to see a version with his flippers down, I've never really liked the cybill's because they looked kind of ridiculous to me with the arms up. :) I'm looking forward to the re-vamp of the revamp, there are a lot of things the people on here have suggested that I could see would be an even better improvement.
I really wouldn't like him if he had shorter fins. And how some other people said. It's a Cybill not a penguin. I can't wait for it to be updated. I have already changed my pet's species. xD

i definitely support the new art style over the old one. something i hope is better incorporated into a final design, though, is the old cybill's seemingly upbeat, carefree, confident attitude. the new one loses a lot of its spunk, and it seems quite shy/bare as a result -- i hope the artist can find a way to return its personality. also, i'm not a huge fan of the curved arm/flipper/whatever haha. definitely would love to see something that doesn't look as gumby. finally, i adore the old cybill's glassy eyes. it looks like an attempt was made to re-create that in the new version, but would it be possible to go one step further? i'm not suggesting overwhelming lucidity, but maybe just making the outline a teensy bit lighter...? :)
anyway, i'm really excited to see the cybill being revamped after so long. <3

I really like the newer one. :) I'd still probably never get a Cybill due to myself not being able to draw/design one, but they definetely look a lot better than the old one. C:

Like others have said, something about the flippers look off. Maybe they're a bit long. Overall it's a fantastic revamp
I'm definitely too tired to write a super long comment right now, but I made a dirty graphic of how I think it should look like. No offense to the artist, I think the revamp is great, it just needs to be fixed a little here and there! All in all it's already lovely!
I am in LOVE with it, minus one thing: I agree that the flippers are a tad long / odd-looking.. I think they just need to be shorter. Aside, I think the new Cybill is SUPER SUPER SUPER cute!
I'm not going to read through a 171 comments or I'll be here all day lol! the only thing I'd suggest changing is the tail. I'd make it straighter rather than so flipped up. Other than that, it's adorable and I would so consider getting one! :D

I feel the bill needs to be a bit more pointed, the feet more penguin like, and the flippers less awkward. They seem to be too long and in a weird position. And maybe make the head fluff more feathery.
On the plus side, the shading is great. The body looks very nice, and I just love that little tail.
And where'd the little black spots above the eyes go, those were cute.
I do like the new one but there is just something off with its wings/flippers to me. Separately, they look fine on him. There's something about the combination of seeing both of them together that makes them looks rubber like and unnatural. His chest fluff I think needs to be pointed a little more down to the center. It could just be the way I'm seeing it, but I can't quite tell if his back on his left side is connecting properly. It looks a little too far out and might need to be brought in a little.
I voted old. Not like the new one is horrible. It's nice. But some things look odd. Like the wings/arms. It just looks a little funny... But the coloring and shading is very good, a lot better than the old. I just don't like the pose. I think a few things should be changed (basically just what everyone else said looks odd).

The colouring/shading is nicer on the new one, but it has too many issues so I voted for old. If the new version wins, I really hope you guys think the issues I and many others here have pointed out:
-Strangely-bent wings -Hunched over pose, less "jolly" than old one -Oddly-positioned tail -Small eyes/missing black top line
The only thing that improved is the coloring/shading.
It looks like the beak should be turned more to the center. Also, the pose makes it looks like it's tilting into the screen.
Not that you need to listen to my nonsense. I can always avoid getting one.

As when you look at the old then at the new it does look some what barer.
Its funny when people take offense to such unoffensive opinions. They put this pole and thread up for comments, unfortunately not everyone is always going to share your opinion, dont always react with anger when that happens, it makes you look childish.
I realize its a fictional animal, however my previous comments still stand. I think some parts of it look awkward, regardless of species, the fact that its a cartoon animal means nothing. I still think the wings, head tuft, and neck tuft look awkward, and the body is proportioned oddly. Wings are wings, they have wing anatomy, tails attach where tails attach, these things will either look done right or wrong, no matter what animal you're talking about. And let me point out that this is, essentially, a penguin, its one of the least fantasized pets on subeta.
It's a lot cuter than the old one, but I agree those flippers are a little odd. And there's something I don't like about the pose. I guess it's those flippers.
