The revamp is cute, but over all it's quite awkward. The tail really bothers me the most because it looks like it would be a lizards tail and not a penguins.
I appreciate that you guys still use polls for revamps. That being said, the new one is phenomenally better than the old.
Yosh! But please, please change the artwork everywhere (including games) for all these little cuties. It makes me cringe to find all artworks all over the page. ;-;
While the art for the new one is loads better (love the shading especially!), I think it could use some work. I'm probably just repeating what others have said, buuut... here goes. ;;
The lack of claws bothers me a bit, since they're penguins and all; it also seems really cartoony for Subeta's newer, more realistic style. Just a bit of definition would be nice, I think! .. I can kind of understand why there aren't any though, since it wouldn't match the redrawn colors for the species and so would add more work to do. But yeah. :'D
I think it'd be nice if the chest fluff was toned down a lot, because it's sort of distracting to me (since real penguins -- and most birds in general -- don't have nearly such a prominent chest fluff)... and it seems like massive chest fluffs are a little overused on Subeta in general... ^^;;; Same goes for hair fluffs, which I think should also be toned down juuust a little. Baby penguins are super fuzzy, but in general penguins have a much more sleek appearance, and the cybill is an odd mixture of both right now. It's kind of disconcerting and a bit unnatural. xD;
The flippers are awkward, they seem kind of... broken a bit haha. If they were just a little less floppy...!
I also think it could use a bit more chub, haha, it looks like it went on a diet for this revamp. xD I always saw cybills as really cute and chubby little things!
I love the face though, the eyes are gorgeous and the little smile is so cute. I love the cheeks too.
... oh my gosh I am really looking forward to seeing the cybill get some love. Imagine if one of the colors had it sliding on its belly! or hopping! ;o;
I do believe that the Cybil needs updating, however... Please do not take away my pet's axe when you redo the Bloodred ones? Pweese?
The flippers, like its probably been said a million times now, are a bit funny looking. Maybe make them stiffer, like the old one's flippers, and the hair... It looks a bit funny in the back. I dunno, but it looks weird to me. Other than that, its much better than the old one. I was hoping for what seemed like forever for it to get revamped. I maybe don't have one, but my best friend does, and I love her Cybill.
I'll be voting for the old one.
The new one is going in the right direction, sort of, but there are still some major things that could be changed for the better. Like others have said, the wings look rather awkward. Stiffer wings would look nicer than these slightly noodly ones. The feet could also be worked on just a bit. Maybe some slightly more defining traits, like claws and such. I do like how the feet look less 'Flipperish' than before though! The head feathers could also be redone a bit. Perhaps make them a bit sleeker looking, and flicked back instead of forward.

Ill also agree with someone else who said that the "hair" doesnt really fit to me, (neither does the chest fluff) if it looked more like feathers I think I would like it more.

I actually prefer the old one for a few reasons, mainly because it looks more like..a penguin! My main issue with the revamp is the body and the flippers. Penguin flippers are actually QUITE STIFF, the new ones look like boneless flapping wads of fat and skin haha.

I think its a step in the right direction, but still needs work. Pretty much things already mentioned. I'll def be voting for the revamp though.
It might just be me but I think it looks more like a puffin-ish than a penguin. But I liek it. ^^;
Oh! Another thing I noticed last second here. The ruffled feathers around the feet? They're all blue! I really like it and think it fits a lot better. :D
Yippie, improvements for the penguins! I much approve of this action! First thing I did notice was that the wings/flippers do look better flopping around there. Almost like they're just to long and drag around than neatly tuck in at his sides. Maybe an wide outstreatched like the first version or where the wings tuck in more towards the belly might look nice?
Taking more time to examine. I love the colors used, the slightly purple tones on the cream fluff and the shines on the blue. Love it. The eyes a massive improvement, I love how they shine nad have their own blue color. The cheek fluff and chest fluff are super cute, I love it and want to scruff up their feathers just looking at it. Howevery I do think he could be a little more pudgey, he looks normal average right now and that's fine. But I always imagined the Cybills to be a little heavy and rounder. But again, that's my own opinion/observation.
Only other thing I'd noticed is the still plain feet. Now they look fine the way they are, especially in the updated version keeping the original. I just always wish there was a little more definition, like tips of claws or something. Has to be hard scooting around on that slippery ice with no bearings!
All in all. I do like it. The flippers are the only off putting thing for, but I still voted new since the pro's outweigh the cons. I do really like it and whoever is in charge did a great job. Kudos fellow artist, keep up the fantastic work. It's always REALLY hard to do pet revamps and expecially with everyone glaring you down for touching their beloved pixels.

The wings - what everyone else said. I'm not going to rehash. What is really bothering me is the back and tail. The line of the back extending to meet the tail widens its body unnaturally, and with the line of its thigh fading before it meets that back line and the tail turned to our left, it gives me the impression that its booty juts out a bit too far behind it.
Otherwise, I really like the revamp, the coloring and shading are a magnificent improvement.
I think this looks great! I don't think that the wings/flippers look all that bad, personally. Voting for the new one!

I feel that the poor cybill definitely needs an art update, however I do like the old pose better. The old ones look a tad bit pudgier too, which I like. But at the same time, the revamp isn't horrible in any way, and I'd be fine with it if that's what we went with.
I like the new version as it's less 'cartoony' and smoother looking :)
the neck fluff could be toned down but that's more my personal taste. the art is good, but the pose is a little awkward and I don't like its wings. the left one (our left) looks really awkward bending in like that when the right one is outstretched. it might look better if they were both outstretched, like the old art. simply put, the position it has now makes it look like it was caught in the middle of an awkward dance, or if it moved accidentally during a photograph.
I like the pose and personality of the old one more, but the revamp definitely is an overall improvement. The curve of the left flipper is bugging me though. IMHO it looks too soft and flexible.
The new one is better, but its wings look like Kanis ears.
I'm not a Cybill fan, but this revamped one is cute!
I don't really know which to vote for, but I'm gonna go with the old art for now. It kinda has more character to it. =(

It seems a bit stiff, as some have mentioned. Now if this pet is based on a penguin, I think it should be a little fatter around the waist. The fins look a bit odd, but I think it's cause I'm not used to seeing the species at a different angle now. xD The more I think about it, I'm reminded of how finned Neopets now have their appendages curled to make it look like they're holding items. And this new Cybill reminds me of it so much. o_o;;

It's a sure sign of the impending Apocalypse... I actually voted for a re-vamp! XD However, as others have said, the flippers do strike me as being a bit odd as well... We used to have brokeback Feli, now it sort of seems we have brokearm Cybill! XD Also, my chief issue is that I vastly preferred the white feathery ruff above the feet on the old one versus the blue; it seemed more realistic. The face is ADORABLE though! :)
It looks like it has a beard or one those gratuitous neopets ruffs instead of a fluffy chest. Very odd looking, not an improvement.
I feel as if Subeta's standards are REALLY slipping. I mean the new one looks better, but it is Obvious that the Artist did not really care and just throw out this.

I love the updated art on the new one, but I voted for the old one because the new style is missing the pudginess that the old one had and I prefer the old pose. I agree with others that the wings on the new one are off. I'm obviously in the minority though and since I don't own one and never will it doesn't really make much difference for me. C:
The art of the new one is better by far, and is very cute! But something about the pose throws me off. Maybe it is the wings, or that it looks like it is leaning forward.

That's like trying to say the Ruffie isn't meant to be like a real dog. Honestly I hate seeing comments like this. Even 10000% mythical creatures have basic anatomical traits of Real animals.
Anyways, no real complaints from me. I love the new art however I prefer the old pose. Hence the old vote. Either way, I hope Cybil owners are happy.
