Sometimes, people post stuff that you personally might not agree with or stuff that's just being toxic to others, so why not add a dislike option?
No support. In the case of Suggestions & Feedback, this feature would be counter-productive as we gain a lot more useful information from people who actually reply with why they don't like someone's post. In any other case, it's best to just ignore posts that you don't like or report them if they're violating any rules (ex: "being toxic") in my opinion. Adding a feature just for people to be passive aggressive with seems unnecessary.
No support as well for the reasons Coraychi posted above. While I know like/dislikes can be a good way to gauge stuff, dislikes can easily become toxic. Likes can demonstrate which posts, especially on suggestions and ideas, people agree with. If you see one post with likes and then a post saying the opposite with no likes, you don't really need dislikes to demonstrate that the idea isn't popular anyway
Then maybe only activate dislikes on specific forums? Marapets is doing exactly that, there are dislikes on RC but no dislikes on the Help boards.
This isn't Facebook or YouTube or Twitter.

Keith has said in the past this won't be implemented (for reasons explained above).

No thank you. Forums are pretty slow as is and many people iterate that they are nervous/scared/get anxiety over posting in the forums. Adding a dislike button is only going to make it worse for those group of people.
No support - this is a hard no from me. Subeta doesn't need more ways to be negative to others in the forums. I feel like this would end up with dogpiling and people following crowd mentality to dislike into oblivion, like happens on reddit
I'd much rather look into ways to increase the positivity and kind interactions on subeta forums than add more negativity

I understand but I don't support.
I think it would be off putting to see dislikes on anyones posts...and would keep me away from posting cus "omg...dislikes based on what I said?...why?" I'd rather have people voice why they don't agree rather than have a down button and not understand the reason behind it.
Also because some people like to "ratio" others and that's also not fun.
Because there are people that would complain if every single of their posts end up at -16, even though there is a good reason for them to be
Yeah no ty to this. That will make the person who wrote it feel bad. If you disagree with it state it or ignore it
by Zero support. If it's too bothersome/offensive to you often just block the user(s) in question so you don't have to see their content. There's no need to display to others who thought something was wrong. Usually most people ignore the bad posts, block the user if it happens to much or even try to talk it out in discussion to see if they can find something mutual about the topic. As it is the ❤ on a post is under utilized I think.
FINALLY GOT THE 15K WARDROBE DONE!!!!! Next up gutting and selling it.
What is the point of this other than to be mean and make people feel paranoid because they don't know who dislikes them?
No support what.so.ever.
If you dislike something enough that you have to express it, then you should have the gonads to say so on your own account.
We don't need dogpiles like you get on reddit either. It's very common on reddit for people from one subreddit to go into another subreddit for people with opposing views and downvote all the posts, then go and downvote posts from people who posted there all over the site. r/vegan is notorious for this on reddit. It causes massive amounts of unnecessary drama.

None of those websites actually have dislikes, though. Youtube USED to have them, but no longer.
Also, these comments that just say "no support" without anything else are the exact thing that not having dislikes prevents...
Regardless if some posts simply say 'no support' or go into lengthy explanations, the result is all the same: it won't happen and for good reason.

posting "no support" with nothing else = gets the point across, ups your post count (needed for achievements), may give you a forum point, makes it so others can see your avatar (getting potential likes), makes it so other people can see your leashed pet/sig (getting interest in pets you worked on or links in signature)
hitting dislike button = gets the point across i guess
edit: i got a forum point for this post. thanks posting!
We didn't need a new feature to be coded in to get the point across that this idea isn't necessary.
And that reason is...? People can just post "no support" and make the dislike clear in the exact same way as if there was a dislike button. Why not make a simple change to stop clogging up Subeta's databases? One column in the database with dislike data, being an int, will clog it up much less than more rows with strings, varchars and more.
