Hello, and welcome to NVLB's biting directory! We aim to infect anybody who comes through our doors! We leave nobody uninfected!
NOTES ABOUT THE PING GROUPS
❤️ If you want a bite, just ping the group! All ping group names are provided in the spoilers below.❤️ You need to sign up with Voluntary Infection Program before anyone can bite you. You can choose the Free option to save sP, but you may get the wrong strain from other, unaffiliated zombies. Getting bites helps to speed up the infection to stage one, from possibly days into just minutes.
❤️ If you want to volunteer and get pings, just join the ping groups that you can bite for. A link to every group is provided in the spoilers. Likewise, if you want to stop getting pinged or can no longer continue as a volunteer for any reason, you can leave or mute the ping groups as you please without saying a word.
❤️ Please do not ping the groups more than once. If your name is on our list, we will get to you eventually. Please be patient while we process requests.
❤️ You're not required to join the ping groups. If you want to hang out and be a casual biter, that's fine too!
❤️ If you are infected, we cannot help you progress faster. Biting gets you stage 1 (infected) faster, but after that, we can't provide anymore bites. You can visit the healer to see your progress (it will not show up in the wardrobe).
❤️ New threads are to be made by NVLB admins or experienced post wranglers. This is to be keep everything moving smoothly as we jump from thread to thread.

Please specify which strain you want when you ping, since one group covers all of the vial strains. This groups works for: Bulbous (Erubescent), Creeping (Smile), Lotus (Space), Sticky (Glutinous), and Stinging (Armour).

You can also drink the corresponding vials to get these strains. If you do this, you get the first stage immediately and you do not need any bites!

This is assuming that I'm not going to be around to make it myself - which could very well be the case if I have to work late.

Post wrangling instructions should probably still be in the second post. I want people to realize that we will still have a presence on the thread like last year to make sure everybody is getting their bites.
Post Wranglers
These are the people who keep running lists of people who still need to be infected and post every couple of pages or so. All posts should contain the following basic information:
- Bite Links
- Desired Strains
- Page Number (just as general reference)
If somebody is infected, please ping the post wrangler (check the latest couple of pages to figure out who it is) to help them out.

Hey ! Are you tired of pings yet?
This is a draft of the first post for a thread using ping groups, rather than the list (but the list is still around just in case everything goes horribly wrong). If any problems with the way I've presented anything, then please tell me.
Ooh looks lovely! Very easy to find what we need to find :) My one little suggestion might be to have the url link to the groups just on the first part of the sentence, finishing after the strain names, and maybe the second part worded something like "summon the biters to this thread by..." instead of "here" only because any newbies to the thread might get confused and think they have to go to the ping group to ping us? Anyway, very handy to have it written out and ready to roll out though, thanks!

I would un-spoiler the "give me anything" section. Breaks to the post a tiny bit and makes it obvious that the call4nlvb is a thing.
An alternative idea, would be to scrap the spoilers entirely. Break it up by year, ordering the same as the zombie alliance official. Have a spoiler only as a break between years, titled "201x". Because if there's only going to be that one line of text in each spoiler, it's a bit over kill, while also appearing much more daunting than it should be
The spoilers make the twixt-link buffers like four or five times as large. I have no good ideas how to optimize compatibility for both, though.
I agree about splitting the spoilers by year, having all those spoiler headings is a bit much to look at.

This is a testing post for the achievement seekers. Do people like 2010 or 2009 better? I think 2009 is clearer on why the names are there, but I'm also don't want to make the first post too long.
Is the font too big in general?
I also think I might the note regarding being specific with the vial strains note to 2014 in general since all of the vial strains are there but maybe all the notes should stay in one place?
: surely if we're breaking it up by year, one general note under 2014 about the shared ping group and then just listing the strains below would be sufficient?
In general my preference for information formatting like this is to make it as easy as possible to use quickly for both volunteers and victims: ❤️ least words possible ❤️ clear data divisions (like the spoiler headers... or ❤️ bullet points) ❤️ compact design (but not so compact you can't tap it on a mobile)
As a victim, I want to be able to see how it works at a glance, be able to find the one I want without a lot of clicks, and be able to clearly see which ping or biter list to cut&paste.
As a volunteer, I would prefer it was alphabetical by skin to make it easy to sign up for your skins en masse (in theory, as of course I am already in all of them...)
Sounds good. I'll add the note under the generic one too (I'm not sure if a header is required?) and then we can just eliminate that point in the notes.
i think 2009 looks better but i would put them in the spoiler not underneath. it would make the 1st post shorter as well
