CS challengers come in all kinds of flavors, from easy to impossible, which I appreciate, because it helps anyone with any interest in battling have an opportunity to try a new opponent. However, as someone with a stronger pet, I would really appreciate if the prices of these challengers correlated with their difficulty. For example, if impossible and extremely hard stayed at 250 csc but VH/H/M were at 125 and anything less was at 75 csc. Generally what makes these challengers valuable is the exp they drop and weaker challengers aren't really "worth" the 250csc/30mil price tag.

cos i think a lot of you guys wanted this too? [edit]

I&;m up for this! I think 25 CSC increments starting with easy at 125 CSC and impossible at 250 CSC would be a good idea. Many other CSC wears start at 125 CSC so I think this would be a fair compromise on items that also double as wearables.
Another good idea for pricing, imo!

I actually did mean for my suggestion to only apply to newer challengers coming out, I thought that meant that people would be annoyed that newer easy challengers would cost less than older ones, and want a reimbursement for their old ones. Sorry for misunderstanding! XD

Please, please, please implement this. It&;s such an irritation to buy a new CS challenger and find out that I just wasted 250 csc on an easy challenger. :(

Cait has a good point too, nothing else in the CS are like challengers where essentially someone on the site has to buy it before you can really know what it is - you can preview wearable overlays, stickers/books/foods you can tell by a glance. But an easy challenger which would award a piddly amount of exp costs the same as an imp challenger, which awards quite a bit more exp.

Oh. That would be AMAZING. Not only because of loot/exp correlating to price, but because at a glance, I'd know what challengers my pet could face and which ones would turn her into mush.

Do you have a rare item that just won't sell? Are you going through the high levels of Item Hunt? Or maybe you just HATE that blue bunny? Then you should join IHH helpers and IHH bargain in the forum groups!

I'd be interested to know breakdown of challenger buys:

Do more people buy easier challengers since more people/pets can fight them? If so, then scaling prices wouldn't really be in Subeta's best interest since many battlers will continue to buy the easier challengers despite the high price... and more people may buy the easier challengers due to more people being able to fight them.

On the other side, do fewer people buy these challengers, since those who have less-trained pets tend to be less into battling? If so, then a lower price could actually generate more income for Subeta since it could entice people generally less-into battling to start battling challengers due to a lower cost. Quantity of sales could outweigh a lower pricing.

From a personal perspective, I'm obviously all-for scaled pricing. I just know that it'll come down to $ for an actual decision.

You have my full support. I can't speak for everyone but I would definitely buy more of the E/M/H challengers if they didn't cost the same as the impossible challengers.

Paging if you guys would like to give some feedback

While I would be in favor of this scaling for personal reasons, from a larger standpoint I would be worried then that harder challengers would not be in abundance when they are retired. Granted some wait until they return, but for people like me who once they get into something just want to have it all as soon as possible, this would suck. Also, how would those who have paid 250 csc for previous challengers be reimbursed? We had some form of reimbursement when pet slots changed.

Thanks! :D

In my opinion, if people bought easier challengers at 250 csc previously then at that point they were aware they were paying that amount of money, therefore Subeta does not need to refund anyone.

I would personally love this as I simply don't unlock the easier opponents because I don't value them at 250 CSC

That being said, I do see the flip side that some items are wearable etc. and the artist's work shouldn't be less value (?) But I'm cool with the items used to unlock challengers being useless besides unlocking the item xD

I fully support this as well. There have been a few cs challengers I didn't buy just because I knew the loot would be worth next to nothing and I could easily buy it for sP instead of waisting 250 csc on it.

I support this. What if, any new challengers that are released for the current year, are always priced at 250 CSC, but when older items come back, they are then discounted into their various price tier? So things are still exclusive for a long while, but eventually, the prices could go down if users were willing to wait.

I have the following suggestion: Un-retire old CS battle challengers by month And this is the suggestion to bring back monthly challengers outside of the Black Friday sale. Bringing back monthly challengers, at a reasonable price, would be really nice!

i'd like this! some of the items are things i really want to keep, but i just can't bring myself to buy many doubles with the price as it is now. i think 75 csc is maybe too cheap for easy challengers, though, since sometimes they're books or food or whatever, and most of those start at 100 csc? i like ' price scaling too.

Full support. I am going to buy them no matter what provided I have the csc at the time, but scaling them would be much appreciated. Just don't make them all impossible just to keep it high, bruv.

This isn't to say I don't value the items the same, but when the loot becomes 5k sP... it can be very much not worth it. If the items stayed somewhat close to the same value as 250csc, then shit who cares. But it doesn't. It's trading 250csc for 5k sP. Can someone sell me csc at that price damn

While i am in favor of this idea I disagree with @ jovi. I bought most of them already and i would be very pissed off if the previous challengers would be suddenly at half the price.

So maybe start with this idea from next challenger onward? and keep the previous ones as is?

[edit]

I would be pissed off because it would mean months of work gathering sp would be pointless and that would really put me off.
