General Lag, 5xx Errors and Timeouts Thread
Please read the following information about reporting general lag and errors.[box=#ffdddd]
Before making a report, please check the last few pages of this topic as well as admin posts to see if there has already been a staff response to the issue. Please also check the Known Issues spoiler below to see if your issue has already been reported, and if so, what additional information we may be seeking at this time. Please read the guidelines in this post before writing your report. Thank you!
Known Issues
This is a list of known issues that have been occurring persistently to multiple users.
Advertising Forum
Description: Users sometimes experience a 502 or 504 error when trying to load the Advertising forum specifically. This usually goes away after a couple of refreshes.
Info to include in your report: There is no need to report this error at this time.
Pet Order page - POSSIBLY FIXED Description: Users experience 502 Bad Gateway when re-ordering pets. Info to include in your report: Please be specific as to how you were re-ordering your pets when you got the error. For example, were you using a preset button (A-Z, custom) or were you saving an order you drag-and-dropped? Also, when you got the error, did it save the new order anyhow or was it lost?
50x Error when Quickstocking Many Items
Description: Users experience page lag and timeout when quickstocking a lot of items at once.
Info to include in your report: How many items were you quickstocking, and where were they being quickstocked to?
Reporting an Timeout / Error code / Cloudflare Error
Please include the following information:- The error code (502, 504, 524, etc) if there is one
- What page(s) you got the error on - If you only encountered the error on one page, please include the exact URL if you have it.
- Approximate time you first encountered the error
- How long the error lasted. (for instance, were you stuck on the 504 for the next half hour, or you wait 5 seconds, refresh, and it was back to normal?)
For example: "I got a 504 error on the page turning in the items for Pete's quests at 5:03 PM subeta time. The error went away after a single refresh."
Generally if you only get the error once, and it goes away after a single refresh, it does not need to be reported. If you get the error on the same page more than once, please report it.
Reporting general site lagginess
Please include the following information:- What page(s) or sections of the site you experience lag on
- Approximate severity of the lag (for instance, how long do pages hang for - 5 seconds? a whole minute? etc)
- Approximate time the lag started

Error code: 504 Page: User dashboard Time: 9:43 PM Subeta time (March 30th) How long: Came back after one refresh; frequently problems with this page.
I don't know if this goes here since it was a bit different but just in case:
Error code: 400 (bad request) Page: https://subeta.net/shop.php?shopid=46 while trying to purchase a Rolled Pancake with Suspicious Syrup Time: 1:22 pm How long: 1 refresh fixed it

Error code: none Pages: all of them Time: the last 4 to 5 hours starting around 7pm off and on through 11:20pm still ongoing How long: pages stall out when clicking on anything and won't move completely unresponsive for minutes at a time.
I tried posting on another topic called site lag but it got locked after I posted. My original post - Anything I click on just completely stops and won't load at all. The page just sits there not moving whatsoever. Happens on all pages no matter what it is. Not sure if the new Windows 10 Spring update has anything to do with it or not (my pc installed it the other day and took forever then all webpages looks weird for the first few hours afterward). I haven't noticed any site lag just unresponsive pages and errors that come up during quests that take several minutes to go away but I'm use to that no worries ❤.

what page you got it on Site was laggy in general for about 20-30 minutes. Closed firefox completely and tried getting back via news page, got error.

Like said above, lag before, then error, tried several refreshes but error stayed, finally cleared up just now. Lag seems to be a bit better now too. First time since loooooong that I've gotten the combo of lag and 504 error.
That was a site-wide outage. I wasn't online the whole time so I'm not sure how long it was down for, it looks like there were problems for 20-30 minutes, and the site went down completely for about 10 minutes. Somebody alerted me to it offsite and I addressed it then. I have the error logs and will try to figure out what caused it later.
I'm technically not working today (it's Sunday!) but I'll be keeping an eye on the site status for the rest of the day. It should be fine now though, and all the servers are reporting healthy status right now :)

I'm definitely glad I was here though! That was lucky. It was a pretty inconvenient time for the website to randomly go down, since the staff on the west coast are asleep, plus weekend... lol.

i don't know if this is related, but i've been randomly getting SQL connection errors.
Like these? php_network_getaddresses / SQLSTATE error

I was in the wardrobe and it was working fine. I was moving around categories and at some point is stopped loading clothes. I tried reloading the page and got a cloudfare error I didn't note info about it, probably around 2:50 PM Subeta Time. I closed the page. Loaded the wardrobe again and got the info above.
Still timing out a few minutes later:

The site is quite laggy for me (I'm using the latest version of Chrome).
Sometimes pages take forever to load and every time I try to feed my pets, I get this error (the item, however, stays in my inventory):

A ton of 504's for me tonight as well. Only for Subeta. A few white pages that say "SQL Error connection" too, but those have been happening to me erratically for a couple weeks.
The 504's are happening all over the site- forums, news page, moving items from vault. So I'm not sure it's a specific page problem this evening. The connection errors are also all over, though mostly I've noticed them on the pet training page, when trying to start a new training session, and when starting a battle.
I'm not getting any specific errors, but I am experiencing a lot of lag again this morning like there was yesterday.
It got better last night for a while, but now it seems to be back again. Some stuff working on and off, the forums are pretty laggy for me, and user profiles are taking a long time to load or just won't load at all.
I'm currently deploying something that may or may not make things better. But then I've got to sign off for the day. We will definitely make sure this is investigated thoroughly after the holiday :)

- For what it's worth, and to help you look into this, it all started yesterday (Tuesday, July 3rd) around 2:20 PM (Subeta time). The site went down with an sql page (no squirrel though), just plain text. It was down for about 5 minutes. Ever since, the site has been laggy and spitting out 504 errors off and on. There seem to be a bunch of other issues associated with the timing of yesterday (shop problems, vault problems, etc.).

- Took about 15 minutes of refreshing before it finally loaded.

I hope this is ok to post here. For over 24 hours I can't play the site it's so laggy
I've been getting cloudflare and SQL errors all over the place for 3 days now. Paired with lag in account search, buying from SS, using items.

- Refreshed and the page went back to normal
The site has been pretty good today, but over the past hour or so, it's gotten slower and slower again. I'm honestly surprised that I've only gotten one 504 error, that's how slow it's been.
