Are you excited for Inktober or Witchtober this year and are you going to join in one of them or both?

I'm finally feeling confident with my art which means I'm going to join for the first time Witchtober (and it's a good way to convince myself to open an art blog). I'm curious if I will be able to draw all 31 witches before I will get nuts haha. [edit]

so hyped for inktober /o/ I tried it for 3 years now and always failed lol, this year I'm ready to actually make a drawing for each day

so so hyped!! I've been doing it for a couple of years now, but not once have I finished it..... this year though!! I shall.. try. It'd be fun to have a thread where everyone could support one another and post their drawings, I made one last year but we weren't very. . active oops.

I'm kinda tempted to do witchtober this year, but who knows.

Really looking forward to Inktober - reminder set on my phone & everything! I somehow got through last year (no prompts, and many days sucked, but I still managed one way or another..?), and I really want to go again! (Hopefully) Going to use it as an excuse to draw my badly neglected OCs! ^^

I... just hope that my (several-years old) pens don't die on me, ha-haa;;;

i'm thinking of doing goretober actually! i tried the spooy art challenge two (three??) years ago but only did like, 4 drawings lmao...... BUT i've improved a lot since so i wanna give this a shot :>

I hope you will be able to complete them this year. I'm not sure how I will do them but I'm sure going to give my all to complete them haha.

I would love a thread that like that. That's a really good idea and that sounds fun to me too. (Also I'm very curious to see everyone's drawings).

Hopefully that won't happen this year! We can do it! I'm going to try for sure to stay active and complete them. In fact I'm so excited I want to start now. I hope I will be able keep that particular energy to keep me going haha.

(Do you also prepare for something like this or just go when it's time?)

I have a reminder set up in my phone too. Not that I will forget it as I look at my calendar as it counts down haha. That's always a good reason. One of the reasons I choose witchtober because I need to practice drawing girls.

I never have heard of Goretober until now. That's great! I never have done something like this because I wasn't happy with my art but since a few months I have improved so much I want to give this a go.

for me i never really tried art challenges bc i'm very slow and finishing a thing a day feels overwhelming orz but i've been getting better at sketching quickly and doodling in general so hopefully i can do this!!

and i'm also almost done with my prompt list |DD

On some days I'm so fast that even surprises me but also I have often days that I'm quite slow so I'm thinking to make my witches (ink) sketches with color to keep it up. (And when I'm quick I will give them more). I hope for that too and for myself too we will able to do it this year (:

I'm going to do this one: click. Or if there comes out a new one this year I will do that one. I'm not sure how this really works but I will see as I go haha. I'm not preparing anything except for my pens and pencils.

I'm extremely bad at these challenges... I have done goretober before and it's been fun, but I never finish! This year I challenged myself to draw an occult-themed hand (gotta practice those hands) every day for October, and I am cheating and I started 3 weeks ago in hopes it gets me enough momentum to finish. :P

Where are y'all posting your challenges? I'd love to see everyone's progress! The witchtober one looks like so much fun.

Are we going to create a thread for it or post our drawings on this one? I joined drawloween in like 2015 for a few days and it was so much fun seeing everyones versions ;o; [sub]at it also helped me so much to gain some confidence that is currently long dead[/sub]

I am going to try inktober for sure this year since I feel like I've mastered using my pens. I just got back into traditional art in the past year and now I want to use my new Microns and Faber-Castells ;u;

I was hoping there would be an Inktober discussion thread of some sort. Hope it's okay to settle in here and use it as such? ovo I'm actually...kinda doing both Inktober and Witchtober I guess? I'm going the digital route, mainly because I can't afford ink pens or anything, but I'm mixing the 2017 prompt list with one of two 31 witches lists! I figured if I only did the witches I'd fall into drawing them all in boring poses or something, so thought adding a prompt along with each witch would make things a bit more interesting...if that makes sense, haha. So day one is Seasonal witch (winter) - Swift I'm too nervous to start though, so I'm just starting at references and looking at other peoples art. ;o;

I'm not really happy with this one because I see so many mistakes I need to fix but I loved the idea of a young witch to grow her own ingredients in her hair. (I do hope my next one comes out better haha).

My day one was...bad, and I only managed to finish a doodle that's not really worth sharing but I just finished day 2 OTL Large image below, but here's mine if you want to see!! I really like how it came out in the end, even though I was wary at first. ;v;
