Here's my witchtober day 9: Medusa! I had so much fun drawing her and her noodles (never knew that some of them could look so innocent). You can see the bigger version here

Aaah everyone's art is so lovely! I LOVE your "screech," what an intriguing character! she is BEAUTIFUL and the noodley expressions are adorable.

I've been attempting inktober since 2013 and I think I only completed it once. This year though...!

Here's a few of my favorites so far:

posting daily on instagram and mostly in sets on tumblr.

I don't have time to do a drawing everyday, so I'm doing one a week. The prompt will be a random prompt from the days of the week. Here is week 1. The prompt for this week was swift.

I really don't like zombies so this one was quite a struggle ;-; (but I'm looking forward to the one of tomorrow. Dragons!!).

This one was quite challenging because I have never drawn a dragon before but I'm quite proud of the outcome of my first attempt :) She's based on a leopard gecko. [edit] And here's also 12 the pirate witch:

Sorry but I can't participate anymore sadly. My drawing hand hurts too badly and I can't draw with left. (I really tried but so badly and I'm bummed about it). So I will cheer you on from the sidelines! :)

I've been swamped with work, finally had time and energy to draw a witch. So here's my day 6, Oracle Witch: click So for this one I made a witch that could see the future through soap bubbles.

That sucks, I hope you recover and feel better. Seeing your witches thus far has been fun though. ☺ (also thank you for the earlier comment)

Do you have the feeling after doing so many it feels so forced? That's what I had after day 10. I didn't had the excitement anymore I had in the start and my drawings aren't how they would look normally. More sloppy just to get it finished on time (which ended sadly in overworking my hand).

Your background were amazing. I really liked the details in each one of them (which reminds me I have to practise them).

Your witch is adorable and I love the idea of the soap bubbles! They are adorable :) Thank you and I hope for that too. It's a chronic pain which normally sits in my fingers and don't feel it much. But because of the daily drawing the pain goes now through out my whole hand. I can't even hold a pencil ;-;

Yep, pretty much. I don't have a problem drawing daily but I have to be in the mood for it, this eventually became kind of a chore ;;

I know what you mean. I kinda felt stressed out a couple of times because of it like aaaah, I have to get the deadline! That's no fun anymore and the fact I couldn't draw my own things anymore as it took up so much time to draw each one of them. (On the other hand it was a nice practise as long it lasted).

My Day 7 Tailor Witch I drew a few days ago: click. Another quick sketch, for this one I thought of a witch who likes denim and lace. And my Day 8 Blood Witch I drew today: click. This witch cast the wrong spell and made it rain blood instead of water.

Thank you, I became really charmed with the idea myself hehe 😄 Oof, that sounds bad. Not feeling like drawing is one thing, but not being able to is another entirely 😞

Reading what you and say about feeling uninspired and forced to fulfil the daily quota, I have to agree I don't really think daily challenges is the best format. I've been lagging behind a bit but then I've also had time to mull over what I wanted to do for a prompt. Maybe bi-weekly or even bi-monthly would be best. Less stress ☺

Sorry for my late response!! I never got the ping. I just noticed your reply because I was looking in this thread to see if anyone still posted.

She's really adorable and your blood witch is quite funny. I hope nobody found out about her mistake ;) It's quite annoying but I have this pain since I was little and I know how to get along with it (even to the point ignore haha). Thankfully my hand doesn't hurt anymore and I have been drawing again :)

I was thinking the same as you or maybe they should change it into two witches each week so you can focus on those two. Every day one witch is way to much and I won't bother to try this again as long it stays like that.

How is your witchtober going? Are you still doing it or did you stopped?

@ Dunja no prob, I sometimes reply late too hehe 😄 And thank you, I thought it was a fun idea. Though I was kind of let down once I realized I would have to mark it as mature on dA to stay on the safe side. That's good that you're able to draw again :D

I think that sounds good, have 8-10 prompts instead. Especially sine I think some of the later prompts sound uninspired and almost think they were made just to fill up the month. Once a day is definitely too much unless it's a small doodle. Maybe we can run our own version of witchtober/inktober/etc next year where we do 1-2 a week (possibly making our own prompts) here on Subeta?

I'm still doing it, about halfway done with my day 9. I thought about extending it into november, but then I realized I don't like some of the prompts beyond day 10 so much. So I think I'll try to churn a bunch of small drawings to cover those. I want to finish it since I started, though.

EDIT: I went and did that. So here they are: 10-13, 14-21, 19-27, 28-31. Still missing prompts 9, 20 and 25 but overall I'm pretty happy.
