🎵 I haven't seen a topic about this, so here it is now. What are your thoughts on Eurovision Song Contest 2017 Semi Final 1 from yesterday? What about your guesses for the Semi Final 2 taking place tomorrow?

So far, I thought this round was a bit disappointing. Granted, there's always special performances and stuff, but I think that we've had better semi finals, with just better songs. I can barely remember any of the songs already, they all sort of blurr into each other sounding similar. I do remember the epic sax guy from Moldova. Damn, that tune is stuck in my head. And I really liked Finland (Blackbird), but they sadly didn't make it to the finals.

I'm from Belgium by the way (the terrified looking girl in black that seemed like she could start crying any second). I think we have a strong song, but she really didn't sing good at all. She's only 17, so I can imagine it's all a bit overwhelming. Quite a surprise we made it to the finals.

I'm from Belgium aswell and normally I dont think we have good song but I really our song this year! So it was nailbiting until they let us through :D I hoped at least Finland would made it aswell through the Semi Final. But I was really excited to see the performance of Azerbaijan! It's a really strong song I like to see winning!

For tomorrow I really hope for Norway to go through <3

I just love the Eurovision... altough in Italy it's a rather new thing so there are not that many people watching it. I believe this year things might change because it seems we actually stand a chance of winning and our song is massively popular here (I like the lyrics, but I dislike the singer so I have mixed feelings about it)!

Idk man I'm just bummed Finland didn't make it to the finals, I was like 100% sure we'd do well this year but nope, didn't even pass the semifinals orz

I liked Belgium a lot, even though the poor girl looked terrified to be there. The song is almost completely on my vocal range so it's easy to sing along, which is always a plus. :D

Portugal and Azerbaijan weren't bad either in my opinion!

For tonight I'm curious about the Netherlands. It's a bit of an "unwritten alliance" that Belgium and the Netherlands vote a little for each other (like some other countries do between themselves as well, I have noticed).

And I'm also looking forward to Norway. I've heard good things! And I just love Norway. There, I said it.

I am from the country that always sends the worst artists - the talent-free country of Germany. Surprises me to hear that it's this weekend, they usually make a big hype on the media regarding the ESC but this year I haven't heard anything yet...

I think Germany is automatically in the finals as one of the big five? I don't know the song or artist, I'll see on Saturday. And Germany didn't do too bad before, I liked the winner from a couple of years ago, Lena with Satellite!

Yeah, I kinda liked that song, too it had a catchy melody. But apart from that, in my opinion, our ESC artists are usually horrible to put it nicely - some of them even were even highy embarrassing. X'D

Noooo! Germany is not talent free! I voted multiple times for Ghost last year! I thought it was really cute but her outfit didn't fit the song I think. I also liked Lena in 2010-2011. I think a lot of people just refuse to vote for the Big Five like France, Spain, UK and Italy (Atleast I think it's Italy lol).
