This workshop is for roleplaying your student OC (original character). Please stay in character. Try to make as few OOC (out of character) comments as possible, and contained within spoiler tags whenever posted.
OOC:
is the mastermind behind this workshop. I am super excited she asked me to help her!

Gaia Kavanaugh is sitting in the private room that's usually reserved by groups for parties. She has a stack of brochures emblazoned with "Hogsmeade Local Business Alliance" in front of her. They contain a map and directory of Hogsmeade's main drag. Stuck to the wall behind Gaia is an attendance sheet and an informational poster. Fliers with the same information as the poster had previously been displayed next to the Hogsmeade trip sign-up sheets at Hogwarts. A tray on the windowsill next to the poster contains a couple Self-Inking Quills, so people can sign their names.
Alarico Pavia is serving up tapas samplers at each place at her table. They contain a selection of Spanish olives, shot glasses of gazpacho, and patatas bravas (fried potatoes).
Upon closer inspection of the poster on the wall, it reads:
This event has been paid for courtesy of the Hogsmeade Local Business Alliance and is open to students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

"Welcome to Las Palmas. My name is Aquilino and I will be your server and co-host for the first part of your journey. You will find Gaia in the back room. If there is anything I can do for you feel free to ask."

Niall O’Connell toured the Great Hall, hospital wing, a few class rooms and the grounds. Now he walked shyly into the workshop area. He was told he could join the workshop to learn what life at Hogwarts was like—he was eager to visit the shops in Hogsmede as well—even if he couldn’t buy anything. The young boy twisted his fingers nervously. He was on the small-side with freckles and bright ginger hair. His clothes were a little on the raggedy side—all being second-hand. He slipped over to the side and managed to make himself look even smaller than he was.
((OOC: Magnus will be arriving in a little while.))
Gaia smiled at the boy. "Hello welcome to Las Palmas! I was told you would be arriving today. Punctuality is a great trait to have. I am Gaia, Head Girl and Acid Pops lover." She handed the boy a small pouch "I do have some things for you. Here you have some money and a small map."
()
He looked shyly at her. "N-Niall O'Connell, I-I like Bertie Bots..." he said in a thick Irish accent. He took the map in his hands shyly but the money almost made him fall over. "What is this for?" he asked, "For the foods?"
Gaia grinned "It seems you have friends already at Hogwarts. Well Niall, welcome. The twins are weird and I can be really outgoing. The money is for you to use as you wish, but once we get to Honeydukes I will help you get a box together. Everyone deserves sweets." ()
"Hello everyone. I am Alarico. I am the mastermind and cook for Las Palmas. I have made some delicious Tapas and sampler platters for you all to try as you wait for the rest of the group."
He blinked at her, his mouth almost falling open. "I-I-I've never had pocket money before--or friends. T-thank ya, ma'am." He was talking to the ground.

"I can promise you Gaia is the name, not ma'am" Gaia grinned. "Would you like to join me welcoming others? and of course eating." ()
((OMG it is 3 AM!!!! I need to sleep but I will be back tomorrow.))
(sleep well darling <3) "Yes ma'am," he said, "Er, Gaia." His eyes flicked to the pretty girl then back down. There were going to be people around and the young boy couldn't hide--after meeting Gaia, he realised, she'd introduce him to everyone... so he might as well just agree. "O-okay," he said as his hand slipped into his pockets.
Paddy rushed through the door of Las Palmas, barely registering the sign on the door, and hoping that she wasn't late. Waving at Gaia, she headed straight for the attendance sheet and signed her name. "Looks like I'm early for once," she said, realising there were only two other names on the list so far, and wondering who Niall was & just how you would pronounce that name.
( )

The boy saw a girl rush in sign her name and look around. Somehow she had missed the welcoming. He should talk to her, he really should but he was so shy. He was curious about the pretty fur she had too and when he thought she spotted him, his eyes flicked back down and he could feel himself blush.

Looking around the room, Paddy realised that Gaia was busy talking to someone who appeared to work for Las Palmas, so she headed over towards the other student in the room. She never seemed all that good at introducing herself, but there was nobody else to talk to, so she thought she might as well strike up a conversation. "Hi," she said, "you're new here, aren't you? I'm Paddy."

She was talking to him. He glanced up and looked at her, his bright blue eyes taking her in--but flicking to the wall near her fast. "Paddy, eh? First lass I met named Paddy," he said in his Irish accent. "Niall," he said pronouncing it Nye-all. "Touring. S-starting next term. I can choose any of the three... just turned eleven on Saint Paddy's day actually." It was really the most he'd spoke in quite a while.
Paddy was confused why Niall didn't seem to want to make eye contact, but he seemed to want to chat. "Once my Mum saw my fur, she decided Paddy would be the most suitable name," she replied, "even though it does confuse a lot of people who expect me to be Irish!" There was something about his Irish accent that she was finding quite interesting to listen to, even if it was taking a lot of concentration to follow what he was saying. "Happy birthday for last week," she added before deciding to ask a bit more about him, "which bit of Ireland are you from?"
(OOC: looks like Paddy has a thing for Irish accents :P)

"It tis beautiful; yer fur. Never seen the like." He blushed again, "Thank ya. Well I was told Mam was from Killarney. But I live in Galway, Miss."
((aww XD))
"They think I'm probably the only one like me in the world," she said, hoping that she wouldn't end up revealing her Werewolf-ness and scaring off the new student, "what's Galway like?" Hang on a minute, did he just call her 'Miss'? "You don't have to call me Miss," she added with a smile, "I'm only two years older than you!"

"Quiet right," he said, "Madam says to me all the time ya are the only ya in the world." He gave a small smile. "Well its near the ocean, ya smell the salt in the air. Good for breathing. Lots of bright green plants and the wind. Seagulls like to try an nab yar food if ya amn't paying attention. They don't let me wander off too close to the muggles though." Then she was telling him he didn't have to call her miss. "Sorry ma'am."
"It sounds like a fantastic place, especially being that close to the sea! Although those seagulls sound like the squirrels near my Uncle's place; he'd left his sandwiches in a bag while he worked, and cam back to find the squirrels had taken them all." Paddy sighed as he called her ma'am, "just call me Paddy," she added with a smile, hoping that he didn't feel she was complaining - she just felt that 'miss' or 'ma'am' made her sound a lot older than she was.
