Merlin scratched his head. "I'm only good at flying with my own wings, but I have a new broom too and we can race each other Niall. Magnus' mom can help us too and you are coming with us to his place." he looked at Gaia. "You missed my scales for fainting, now I won't show them to you." He sticks out his tongue.

Merlin's words were beautiful and a couple of his own tears fell. He wiped his eyes. "You should write that down," Magnus said.

Merlin's words were very sweet, Niall thought. He nodded unable to get his voice for awhile. "I'd like any help. And would love to practice with anyone." He wiped his eyes again.

Magnus lent over and whispered to Paddy. "Got your pressie at me dorm," he said with a smirk. "So you'll 'ave to wait."

"I'd like that Miss Gaia," Niall said. He had another invitation to people's houses. He wondered if he could go. He certainly didn't want to go home

Merlin chuckled. "Drew's the writer, I only say what I think and feel." He slightly blushed, it was the second time they told him to write something down. "Maybe I'm a poet." he giggles.

"I'm going to gift you a big handkerchief!" He playfully nudges Niall.

(night) Magnus smiled. "Maybe you are, which is why," he said chucking a pencil from behind his ear and shoving a piece of paper under him, "you should write it down."

Niall stuck his tongue out at Merlin, mimicking the boys' interactions from earlier.

Rosie was very happy with how the day had gone. She had made a couple new friends, visited many shops in Hogsmeade, had some very delicious ice cream and now saw Niall being showered in gifts and love. The declaration of love from Eros to Gaia had her blushing and then somehow she was given a number of parcels as well. "You shouldn't have...... Thank you.." Rosie mumbled blushing a brighter shade of red. She carefully opened the largest of the packages and received a music box with the music and dancing figurines for one of her favourite ballets, Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. The dancers had been enchanted to dance for a good 15 minutes before bowing to their 'audience'. The other parcels contained a few books and four letter sets each decorated for the different seasons with matching ink. Rosie couldn't believe such pretty things were given to her. "Thank you so much..." she spoke up tears glimmering in her eyes. "I love them.. Thank you." she uttered placing the gifts on the table. She went up to Gaia and hugged her tightly before letting go and marveling at the beautiful music box.

((and everyone else ---- things happened and now my grandma is in the hospital.. I'm going to visit today, she's been moved from some sort of intensive care to a regular room and hopefully she'll be able to go home soon.. I won't be on much, thought I should share))

Paddy grinned as Niall went even more red than she thought was possible, but suddenly Eros was kissing Gaia which Paddy thought was totally unexpected. Her jaw dropped as Gaia sent a parcel literally flying her way, "you didn't have to get me anything," she said, "but thank you!" She waited to let Rosie unwrap her gift before unwrapping her own.

Niall watched as Rosie opened her gifts. They were lovely and he was thankful to not have been the only one tearing up. Then it was Paddy's turn and Niall nudged her, eager to see what she got.

((I'm back.. grandma will be ok.. she's going to need a pacemaker and surgery is some time this week. one or two more days in the hospital but then she should be good to go home. she fainted and has always had low blood pressure, but then she had trouble breathing the next day and they think she had a minor heart attack. the beating has been off since going from low 40s to high 110s so the pacemaker will fix that - thank you!! <3 <3))

Rosie finished her ice cream and now it was Paddy's turn to open her gifts. She eagerly looked at the parcels, but couldn't guess what they would actually be. "Go on then. Open them." she urged. She rubbed her eyes with the back of her hand to get rid of her tears and bounced in her seat.

Merlin took the paper and pencil and wrote down what he said and gave it to Niall. "So you will remember how special you are." He rubbed the boy's head after and laughed when he stick out his tongue. "I'm getting another scoop of chocolate gelato." He grins and was already serving his BIG scoop in a cone with several toppings. "I'm going to need a good flight after all this food, otherwise I would have to adjust my robe and uniform." He giggles but it didn't stop him from eating. "I'm going to come back in a bit before Niall has to return home." After he finished his gelato, Merlin ran out in direction to Hogwarts. 'Hope I make it in time.'

The boy blushed deeply when Merlin gave him the paper. He made sure to take a bite of his own gelato for want of anything better to do. Then Merlin was off and Niall thought of having to go home. He sighed.

It took Merlin a while to made it to the castle but he did, he picked a few pastry boxes and prepared a mixed box of cookies for Niall, and magically add a green bow to it. He took a box from his trunk and stare at the stones inside searching for one that reminded him of Niall. He smiled when he found the one, then proceeded to enchant it and add a golden thread that would hold it and make a loop for a leather chord so he could wear it. "There." Before leaving he eyed a stone that would late be used for another friend. "You belong to Drew." He smiled and grabbed the box and ran back to Hogsmade, almost breathless he reached his friends that were leaving the last shop. "Wait!" He pants a few moments before he said. "I made it, I know this is over and you are going home but I promised to gift you my cookies and here they are." He handed Niall a box with assorted flavors. "Hope you like them." The boy's face indicated he was about to cry but Merlin didn't wanted him to leave without his last gift. "I have something else, I had to make it quick, so next time we meet you let me reinforce it, this is a talisman made of Red Jasper, a stone of empowerment, bringing strength to resist emotional domination by others, and the courage to overcome violence. I hope it will help you stay strong in the hardest of times, alright. Wear it, it won't solve your problems Niall, but it can help you get through them. Next time we meet in school, you let me enchant it properly. I could only make one spell on it, so you won't lose it." He put the stone around his neck and could already see the tears falling down his face. "Please be strong, don't cry." It hurt Merlin to see him sad, he knew his sadness was cause he was leaving and going back to a place he didn't wish to return to. "We'll meet soon, I promise."

Eros heard Gaia asked if he wanted ice cream. Eros never said no to ice cream. Never. He always had room for ice cream. And it was also his comfort food. The teen nodded and made his way over to the bar, grabbing a waffle bowl on the way. The Australian picked out three initial flavors for his bowl: cookie and cream, mint chocolate, and strawberry. He took a scoop of each. However, he was still eyeing the bar for new flavors to try as he stayed attentive to the conversation that was going on. He saw Merlin return with gifts for Niall, including a thoughtful talisman for the boy. He smiled and went back to looking at ice cream options.

Niall found it hard to swallow at Merlin came back with a parting gift. He hugged him and tried not to cry. He really didn’t want to leave. “Thank ya, Merlin,” he said. He slipped over to Eros. “I need to be going soon… you still want that favour?” Niall asked.

Eros turned to Niall, having almost forgotten. The teen then looked past the young boy to make sure Gaia wasn't close by before speaking at a low volume. "The plan was that I was going to ask you to run down the street to the flower stand and buy flowers for me...for...," Eros paused and sighed. "Well, seems kind of lame now since she got me an owl." Eros smiled at Niall. "Do you think this was a date?," Eros asked Niall, not entirely sure. "I mean, it's a workshop. Maybe she was just inviting me? Then again, we are hanging out and it was technically planned so...I don't know," Eros scratched his head and then he realized he was asking an eleven year kid. "Nevermind," Eros smirked. "If you have time, it'll be great, but otherwise, don't worry about it," Eros stated, unsure if Gaia was the receiving flowers type.

Niall nodded. He could do that, the flower stall was in view so there wasn’t any danger of him getting lost. He looked at Eros thoughtfully. “Er,” Niall started, “I think it’s a pre-date. Miss Gaia seemed just as confused when I asked. But to me, ye both seem to like each other. So maybe ask her on an official date, using that word?” Easy for him to say right? “I’ll be right back.” He took off at a slight run to the flower stall. He came back with a bouquet which was tied together with a blue ribbon. He handed Eros the flowers and a card. Then he smiled—slightly pain filled. “I gotta go now.” He scribbled his address down a few times and gave one to Eros. “Lemme know when we can get together… if you want to.” He gave the papers to Rosie, Merlin, Drew, Magnus and Paddy as well. Picking up his things he knew he was in danger of crying so he hurried off. To the inn to use the floo powder. Leaving was painful but he had several offers of visits and a new term to look forward too. And maybe lots of friends. All in all, it was a lovely visit.

Magnus said later to the little Irish boy, refusing to say goodbye. He’d had a good day and that made Magnus happy. “The kid likes you Eros,” he said with a smile, “its cos you’re so cool.”

Eros smiled and waved to the boy before filing away the slip of paper with Niall's address into his back pocket. "See you soon, Nye," he gave the boy a half salute, watching the boy go. He looked down at the flowers and card before hiding them behind his back at Magnus spoke to him.

"Huh? Me? I thought it was a given that I'm cool. Doesn't everyone think I'm cool. But I think he likes everyone," Eros replied with a playful arrogance until the last part, having not really noticed anything special about his interactions with Niall. "At least I'm not intimidating to him anymore?," Eros grinned, wondering how he went from scary to cool.

"Well, yeah, you're cool. Nope, not intimidating no more. Big tough cool guy like you, payin' attention to him, it meant a lot. Little guy don't get much attention from what I seen." Magnus' grin was huge. "You regretting 'anging out with us?"

Merlin looked at Eros and shakes his head. "He doesn't like you, he idolizes you!" He laughs lightly. "I see no reason why, your just another cool guy, like the rest of us." he hold on to a giggle and just nudge him. 'Now go ask Gaia on an official date."

Merlin looked at Magnus and Drew. "I'm going back to the castle, I'm tired and I want to play with my new pets and plant. I think I'm taking Flight and Spellz to a flight tonight." He waved to them and everyone left. "Later!" He took off and smiled, he had a great time and brought lots of goodies from the event and made new friends.
