It seems like 2017 is going to be a good year for releases. What are you excited for?
There's several I'm looking forward to, but on the top of the list is Mass Effect Andromeda. I loved the trilogy, even the third game despite the negative feedback about the ending of the game. But I'm really excited to see what Andromeda will be like. It finally releases next month and I'm so excited. Though it'll be bittersweet because it's going to be so strange having a new crew from the one I'm used to, BUT I'm sure I'll love the new characters as well!
I'll throw in a second game: Horizon Zero Dawn, which releases later this month! I haven't looked into this game as much as Andromeda, but from any trailers and gameplay I've seen, it looks beautiful. It's one of the reasons why my fiance and I purchased a PS4 honestly.
OH AND DESTINY 2. I used to play Destiny all the time with my friends but unfortunately it's been a while since we've touched it. I never realized I'd miss the grind of that game, but I want to get back into it lol.
Let's talk games. I'm excited for more games as well but these rank at the top.
Well i dont know if I can say im "excited" but i am looking forward to the new Zelda game, Breath of the Wild. Oh, and Fire Emblem Warriors. Other than that though, not much. Since I was a kid looking for games in a rental store and I saw the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, I fell in love with the series. I would spend my $5 allowance each week to rent that game every weekend.

D'oh I completely forgot about Breath of the Wild xD That looks like it will be a gorgeous game as well. I'm not going to purchase the Nintendo Switch at release but I may consider getting it for my Wii U a little later on. I just don't imagine playing it too often at release since two other games I really want release at the same time.
I'm totally with you on Andromeda -- I can't wait to see what we get to do and who we get to meet. Definitely bittersweet about not having the old crew, but I think it'll be nice to meet some new people and see new characters/aliens.
Other than that I don't really keep up with other game releases (besides Pokemon, haha!)
Oh I agree. I feel like Cora is going to be a pretty fun squadmate so I hope I won't be disappointed xD I'm also glad to have a Krogan on the team again as well. I know they've introduced some squadmates, but are they planning on adding more but haven't told us who they are yet? I feel like we need more alien-teammates.
I play so many video games so I tend to keep up with releases lol. Plus I kind of want some new games to play now. I totally forgot that they're re-mastering the Kingdom Hearts games for PS4 and since I've never owned a PS console before, I haven't gotten to play the series. So I'm pretty stoked about that as well. RIP bank account.
these are the one's i'm looking forward to in he order to most to least (but still super looking forward to :) ) : danganronpa v3 killing harmony (even got the limited edition version with the preorder bonus :D ) hot into danganronpa about a year and a half ago, and it has left a big impression on me. i have an obsession with a character in it (junko enoshima ^^)
persona 5 take your heart edition (the one with the preorder bonus :) ) the persona series i hold very close to my heart and am grateful to have it in my teen years ❤ a dungeon crawler dating sim with a great story, tarot, and gods and goddesses.... what is not to love??
kingdom hearts iii (whenever it's coming out 😖 )
walking dead season 3 (i believe this one is already starting to come out in episodes? regardless, haven't played it yet, but hope they learn how to carry decisions over unlike 1 and 2 x_x my ending for the second season left me emotional though! ;O; )
the fractured but hole. the stick of truth was funny and very exploration of the town. i'm not much for "gritty" humor per se, but i am a pretty big fan of south park c:
akiba's beat! i got akiba's trip when we first got our ps4s. it looked a little raunchy and ridiculous, but it seemed like a colorful and carefee game (which it was!) it was a game with many collectibles and doesn't take itself too seriously. hoping that the next one in the series (which comes out either in march or may, can't remember off the top of my head 😲 ) is just as bubbly, silly, and exciting! not very long, but akiba's trip was well worth the play! :D
my fiance' and i started to play resident evil 7 last night. wow. it feels VERY DIFFERENT from the last couple of resident evil games (i've only had the luxury of playing the last couple 😖 ) so far i'm a little confused; it reminds me more of the silent hill playable trailer with norman reedus's character model in where he explores a house (P.T,) with a mix of redneck cannibal horror movie cliches.... and i'm hoping they're not just trying to cash in on those genres 😖 (so far i'm only at the part where you get back into the house from the garage,) but using herbs, breaking boxes, that kind of brings me back to the reality that it is a resident evil game. i'm still leaving an open mind. i have a lot of questions from what i've seen so far and hoping for well explained and interesting answers... only time will tell. i'm not super into it yet, but i am hopeful! :D i didn't like RE6. AT ALL. so maybe something completely different is a good way to start anew and keep it spicy!
i've also started the mass effect series (for when Andromeda comes out.) not super far in that either. i had an ex, who was really opinionated about the end of 3 and the whole franchise became dead to him after that, so i was a bit turned off by what i heard. BUT that doesn't mean it was a bad series overall i know! 😅 i really liked the mass effect stuff they did for saints row 4, and the new one coming out was finally the icing on what made me want to start it!
lastly! not super far into outlast either (i am in the middle of so many games right now it's not even funny.) outlast 2 is coming out. i tend to ruin games like penumbra and amnseia because of my silly side comments and how i'm unwavering to the spook! xD but my fiance' and i are also liking the story to it (figuring out the story)
well! thanks for listening to my rambling! i don't get out much, but i'm okay with that, because we always have video games to play in my household and other fun stuff to do indoors 😊 i'm always open to new games as well!!
I always like having a krogan, haha! They're a fun squadmate, especially ones like Wrex. I hope they're adding more... I don't expect like ME2 number of squadmates, but a few more would be nice. I'm really interested to see what Jaal will be like, because he's totally new territory.
I haven't actually played any of the Kingdom Hearts games.... I've seen them, and know about them but never actually played any myself. I might try one out one of theses days though!
For Honor and Nioh. I need to get a bigger hard drive for my PS4 before I get either though so...

Truthfully I haven't heard of many of those games, other than Resident Evil 7 and the South Park one! (Oh and Kingdom Hearts III but you're right, who knows when that will be released lol.) Probably not right, but Amazon states that it will be released December 29th of this year? Though they're releasing a lot of Kingdom Hearts content this year so it could be possible who knows.
So I'm terrible when it comes to horror games because I get scared so easily, but oh my gosh I know exactly what you're talking about with that PT preview/trailer and I hated it so much lolol. I was with some friends and watched my fiance play it and I was a little baby for days after bahaha. Plus we were at a friend's an hour and a half away for his birthday and when my fiance and I drove back home like after midnight, there was this eerie dense fog and the highway lights were on so it tinted the fog yellow and UGH it was so creepy lol. I've heard good things about Resident Evil 7 though. But I'm not too familiar with the franchise myself.
As for Mass Effect, the ending of the third game just seemed a little anti-climatic. But I still loved the trilogy nonetheless. The DLC definitely enhances the games though. I strongly recommend the Citadel DLC for ME3 at least: pretty comical dialogue and adds a lot to the game!
Oh yes, I loved having Wrex. I'm not sure if you've played the Citadel DLC for ME3 but he can be a possible squadmate on that DLC as well. They're pretty great. Drack should be pretty great. I'm curious about Jaal too, or any new species that may be introduced. But I also haven't seen a lot of info about Quarians and Drell and I really hope they'll make an appearance again.
I bought my fiance the Kingdom Hearts that came out towards the end of last month I believe it was, but we're awaiting 1.5 + 2.5 to be released next month. I hear great things about the Kingdom Hearts games and I'd like to try them myself. I hear they're pretty fun.
Oh my gosh, the woes of storage. I got a 2TB hard drive for my Xbox One because games take up way too much space lol. My friends are stoked about For Honor and some are planning on getting it here soon. But I actually haven't heard of Nioh. I should look into it.
MASS. EFFECT. ANDROMEDAAAAAA

For srs tho I've loved the mass effect series and bioware makes some of my absolute favorite games (Dragon age whatsup) Sure the ending of ME3 was a little disappointing but I'm willing to overlook it cause NEW WORLDS, NEW ALIENS, NEW DRAMA (Please dear god may bioware have better eyebrow and hairstyle choice in 2017) I can't wait to immerse myself in mass effect once again <3
Not sure what else I'm looking forward to this year... I'm pretty excited for the crash bandicoot remaster for the PS4 as that game was like... my childhood and I'd like to see how they improve on it!
The game I'm most MOST MOST excited for and it probably not gonna come out in 2017 or even 2018 is the last of us pt 2. Ahhh... I'm just so excited for that, so much love for Ellie TAT I watched the trailer so many times.
Ahhh I'm so excited for Andromeda :D I actually haven't played the Dragon Age series. I need to get into that, I hear wonderful things about it. BUT YOU MAKE A GOOD POINT, the hairstyles are just, blah. I don't understand why females can't have long-hair options?? Ashley had long hair that was down in ME3 like WHY NOT SHEPARD. I hope Ryder gets some better options lol. Truthfully though, it sounds like a lot of improvements will be made for Andromeda. I got sick of exploring planets in ME1 because other than the terrain, the buildings had a similar layout and the tasks were same only different. I need some variation, please.
Ohhh Crash Bandicoot, that too! Since the PS4 is the only PS console that I've owned (and I just got it in like, October) I didn't get to play Crash throughout. I played it here and there at a friend's way back in elementary school so I'm excited that I can buy it myself now.
Oh Last of Us 2! I need to finish the first game. My fiance and I bought the re-mastered version for PS4 not too long ago and I need to finish my playthrough. I'm sure that will be great as well.
Right? I was so jealous haha 'If ashley and Miranda could have long hair why not femshep hmph' (It's why I ended up using mods alot) Haha yeah like there were only like what... 3 different layouts that was recycled throughout the way? xD Bioware have come a long way and this looks very open like dragon age inquisition except probably better cause technology and things.
I'm so excited for the new companions and the relationships we can build with them! One of the best part of bioware games tbh. Definitely check out dragon age if you can :D I think if you like mass effect you'll like dragon age as well!
Crash Bandicoot is like a callback to those old platform games haha it's going to be fun I reckon :D Am happy that a new generation of gamers gets to be introduced to these games just like us when we were kids!
Ahhh please do! My boyfriend was pestering me to play it for literally years but I was salty cause I didn't have a PS3 haha. I caved and got the remastered ps4 last year and I've played it two times in two weeks because I loved it so much. Like the storytelling and characters is just absolutely top notch and you absolutely fall in love with the two main characters.
Nioh is 16th century Japanese mythology/supernatural stuff. c: It looks like Witcher and Samurai Jack had a lovechild, tbph. The protag is some blond English dude named William.

The Citadel DLC was easily my favourite DLC for anything released ever, haha! Having everyone all together to have drunken shenanigans was amazing. But yeah, I'm hoping we get a quarian or a drell squadmate again. Thane was definitely shafted, and it would be nice to see some redemption for his species. Also you definitely need to play Dragon Age -- I love them just as much as Mass Effect, and the characters are all amazing. The second game is definitely the weakest of the bunch, but I still really loved it!
def andromeda but i'm probably gonna wait until i can play it on pc because bioware hair kills me & kh 3 assuming it actually exists and is a real thing that's happening but it's square enix so who even knows
Oh I forgot to mention Miranda's hair as well lol. A lot of games kind of are ehh when it comes to female hair styles. Like, Fallout 4's wasn't bad, but sometimes I want to have hair that goes past the shoulders y'know? And I'm excited to get to know my squadmates and see who to form a relationship with, bahaha just like any other Mass Effect fan. I probably would've picked Vetra but I want to play as FemShep...I mean FemRyder lol.
Yea it took me a while to play because I honestly just get bored of games that have zombies?? I mean, this one has held my attention more but I don't really care for them. I'm really not that far into the game, I just got to to the part where you first meet Sam and Henry (and I was spoiled of what happens, lol). A long while ago I was spoiled of the ending of the game, but tbh I forget what happens so that's good. I need to play it some more.
Oh gosh my fiance loved Witcher so he would need to check that out then. I didn't play Witcher personally but my fiance played the game sitting right next to me since we have our TVs next to each other, so I basically saw how it panned out.
I loooooved the Citadel DLC so much. "I should go. I should go. I SHOULD GO." Oh my goodness bahaha. I'm playing another playthrough of the trilogy but this time on insanity, oh my gosh it is rough. I did part 1 of the Citadel DLC but held off on part 2 because I wanted to help Miranda first so that she could make an appearance. I messed up the first time I played this DLC and didn't realize I had to wait a little longer for her. Also yes, I loved Thane so much and wish he had more screentime.
And yessss I know I know I need to play Dragon Age ahaha I hear it talked about a lot on Subeta! I thought I heard that the first game was kind of 'meh' and the second game was better but maybe I have them mixed up!
TRUTH hair choices are bad. I had found one I was content enough with for both Shep genders (tbh I thought the default face for John Shepard suit him really well and never altered it). Yea I'm hopeful for Kingdom Hearts 3 as well! They're rem-mastering a lot of content for PS4 this year though so this would be the year to do it if they finally commit to it!
Right? As I always say 'why can't my femshep/inquisitor/warden' or whatever have beautiful long hair AND kick ass? Dang can she only be romanced by males? D: I wanna play as femryder too and I love turians! (Damnit Garrus Vakarian hot piece of calibrations)
Ahh that's a shame then I can't say for sure cause I love zombies + angst. I think with tLou it wasn't the twists that mattered so much it was how I came to care alot for the characters by the end of the game. I'm sure you've heard this a lot but it was the storytelling that was top notch even if you're not a zombie person :P
The day we have long, flowing hair as an option will be a good day. I shouldn't say Vetra can only be romanced by males. I'm making an assumption tbh lol. I was going to make her my partner whenever I do a playthrough with male Ryder which is mainly why I said that. I know, dang it Garrus everyone is swooned over you, oh how I will miss you. I'm still holding to hoping they'll introduce more alien squadmates because I feel like there isn't enough?? Course we had a ton of ME2 and I loved that but I'd still like more.
Oh yes, I totally agree that the storytelling on Last of Us is fantastic. That is what is keeping my interest, even though I haven't played it in a while (I'm getting distracted by Overwatch, Ark Survival Evolved and my current ME3 playthrough lol). I need to take a break from those and play some Last of Us before Horizon Zero Dawn releases next week lol.
Yosh! The Witcher is fantastic, hence why when I saw how similar aspects of Nioh is to it... GIVE. ME.

Ahh that's cool that's cool I'm gonna have to see tho I usually tend to romance dudes in bioware games but if there's no one I like more I'll definitely go for Vetra (Hot damn turians are so tall) Ugh tbh bioware can give me like 20 squadmates and I'd still clap my hands and cry for more ALIENS I'm still waiting for elcor squadmate BIOWARE MAKE THIS HAPPEN
If you do get around it I do recommend it :D Ahaha wish I had my ps4 with me but alas all I have is the PC, I won't be able to play horizon zero dawn for quite awhile but heard the reviews were really good!
