Ill start off.

Obviously not anywhere close to finished, still thinking about what to put on the left side of the farm xDD Just growing some trees there for now but Ill probably replace them with fruit trees. And or a bee farm.... Hmmm

Maybe make a crafting area to the left, with kegs, furnaces and the likes? Or central, between your barn and the lake. You could always get a slime hutch, too.

Yeah, all of my furnaces are right next to my house, and I have a ton of kegs inside my barn, to save space. But I should probably try to farm those crystal machines. Then move all the furnaces and stuff over to the left too. Thanks for the suggestion though! :D

You're welcome! Crystalariums can be worth it if you have diamonds, but for really mad bucks, focus on crops. Blueberries and cranberries are insane in terms of profits.

I take it you've unlocked the sewers?

Yup, it's very similar to Harvest Moon, but it has a few nice features up its sleeve! It has a battle system and a simple, but effective skill system. In addition to regular marriages, there are same-sex marriages (and adopting children!) in the game, as well as most other features that the Harvest Moon games are popular for (no animal festivals, though D: ). The game is getting updated frequently and we will be getting two new marriage candidates and more lategame content in the near future too.

I haven't unlocked sewers. :( Just unlocked greenhouse though! Bummed that I cant plant trees on edges in there anymore though.

Honestly I kinda wish we could kill animals for meat. I mean I probably wouldnt use the option that often, but I think it would be a neat addition.

In my opinion, the game that this is closest to is probably Rune Factory 4 for 3ds. Or any of the Rune Factory series. But I think this game is even deeper than that, so many things to craft and build. Plus you can set up your farm however you want, which is a lot more freedom than any Harvest Moon game gave me. xD Check out this site for a bunch of farms that were uploaded.

Greenhouse is a godsend, even with the nerf. P: Go for starfruit, strange seeds and ancient seeds, if you can get 'em. Asked about the sewers because you should definitely check in there every Friday once if you have extra money to burn. Same goes for the traveling merchant, though that fellow's stock is a bit more random.

As for the meats - that would be super cool! Or just sell the animal to a butcher, let them handle the dirty work and buy back meat cuts from them. I'd really like for Shane to get a proper job after you finish the community center. D: Though he likes Marnie's chickens too much, so I don't think he'd fit the job.

I remember playing another game that had butchering in it - Shepherd's Crossing 2. You had to butcher your animals for meat, which you could cure and sell for a good bit more than the animal itself. Your animals aged too, which made the butchering a necessity if you didn't want a ton of old animals that didn't produce milk/wool any more.

My Farm

That screenshot was taken Fall of year 3, but I'm just about to enter year 4 now (though very little has actually changed since). It's kinda sad how much of my free time has been going into this game, really. =P

My farm is a hot freaking mess (I'm still picking away at my 1st try, currently Y3), so there's NO WAY I'm going to post a picture of it 😂 I didn't realise you couldn't move farm buildings after they've been places, so I've got a chicken coop... literally right outside my front door...

I'm always interested to hear who people chose to marry, and why, though! I know it's super unimportant and doesn't actually impact the game at all, but it's fun to learn anyways! XD

Who are you guys thinking of pairing up with? I am torn between Penny, Leah and Elliott (because that hair damn) at the moment.

I married Sebastian (like he was the only bachelor I even TRIED to woo LMAO), but I think if I start another game I'm going to try for either Sam, Elliott or Penny.

I don't know about Elliott though because that's my boyfriend's name 😂

And omg the ducks and chickens are my favourite farm animals! I might throw up another coop just so I can have a Deluxe one full of ducks XD

xDDD Yeah, my farm is kind of just random. I didnt plan anything out either. I heard that CA was planning on adding a way to move buildings xD So hopefully that happens soon for you!

I'm really excited about the upcoming 1.1 update - especially being able to move my farm buildings around. 😂 I messed up so bad with some of my placement! I can't wait to see what multiplayer will end up being like!

Ikr! Im hopeful that multiplayer will be great, but I have no idea how CA will implement it - like will you have to boot the server with all characters always? Because if you have 3 people on a server - and its spring and everyone plants, etc, then the host decides to log on when people are offline, and then it turns to summer - what happens to those spring plants the others planted? PLus the issue of sleeping, what if someone wants to end days early every day because theyre impatient etc...

Idk, Im still really hopeful that it turns out well!!

I must admit, I was extremely anal about my farm setup. XD I used this online farm planner to make sure I placed everything exactly where I wanted it, long before even starting up the game for the first time. Took a while for my in-game farm to match all that I had planned out, though. haha

Oh, and I married Abigail. Feeling kinda torn about that now, though. Apparently Shane is gonna be a marriage candidate come patch 1.1, and I probably would have picked him had he been available from the start. =P

When CA announced that Shane was going to be a marriage candidate it pretty much sealed my decision to start a new game after the update 😂

I tried to put my farm in a decent order, but then I accidentally goofed with my chicken coop and everything went into total chaos after that! XD
