I didn't anticipate making any really big changes today, but we've got this quest challenge about to start and I was already tinkering to get the book shop to increase stock, so why not :P
Previously, the item rarities were put into brackets, which meant that there was little difference between a r1 and r10 item to the restocking system, each of them were worth one "point". The same went for r70-80, 80-90. There should be a pretty big difference between a r71 item and a r79 item, right?
So I've tweaked the system to have each rarity worth a unique number of points. You won't see much difference in the lower rarities (there still isn't much difference between a r1 - r15 item, a couple of decimal points) but in the upper rarities you should notice some changes. Lower "high" rarity items (60-75) should be restocking more often, and "high" high rarity items (85-99 but 97-99 the most of all) should feel a lot different. You should also notice a lot more items r50-70 stocking.
I'm watching how this changes the number of these items going out, but just testing for the past thirty minutes I've seen a pretty cool difference in items going out. I'm standing by to tweak it as needed (I'm already seeing I might need to bring down the higher end a little bit) but I think this will be a pretty good change for the system :)

Thank you!!! Now to hit the shops and get some items to sell. :)
Yes, that will probably help with the quest-a-thon!!!
Does this mean there will be more super rares going out, or less?

'super rare' is a range, so there will be more of the lower end going out, probably less at the high end.

Ah, that high end is what I was wondering about. Thank you for the quick response!

Most excellent... rubs restocking hands together in a sinister fashion Come to me, my pretties... muaahaahaaa!
;)
This is great! It should really help with those r50 - r64 or so that get crazy inflated after certain WSQ. Looking forward to seeing how it all shakes out.
Thanks!
Not being active as much as I want to be, it's nice to come on and see all these awesome new changes that help the site:)

, I've been rsing for the past 30min by refreshing my nine core stores. Stores say they are restocking but I can see no visible changes at all. Is it just me?
I'm having the same issue and there's not been anything worthwhile rsing either if something does rs which has happened in like maybe one store.
This is the number 1 reason why everyone complains when the rsing is tinkered with,Just leave it be and stop mucking about and causing more problems.
I'm not seeing anything being added either :?
the shops are sending up the 'Restocked Now' notice but don't seem to actually be restocking :)
I think I will like questing even more now, ty keith.
Kinda....seems like it's working in reverse? Checked Defend and Conquer earlier, no good items and three rows. Checked it just now and we're somehow down to two rows lol
There's hardly anything in the shops and restocking doesn't appear to be working.
- can you look into restocks again, please. It's going to be hopeless having a quest challenge if the NPC shops aren't sorted out properly.
I was fine with book nook being adjusted but to go and fiddle with all the other shops when it wasn't necessary and the way they were running was fine is just dumb. Now we can't rs yet again because this idea doesn't work,Ugh.
