It'd be a great change if the shops were actually rsing things instead of not rsing like they are right now and this was meant to make it so less super rares go out so there goes profits.
Actually you should want it so that less copies of an item you are selling are available to other people since demand should presumably fall less than supply, if at all, as the changes start having effect. Subeta's economy is certainly a bit wonky, but eventually people will get used to prices being more dictated by supply and demand (they are and were of course, but could be much more so) and a good restocker will definitely become more wealthy because of it.
As it was there were far far far far far too many "super rare" items going out compared to the actual player base. And we still have a relatively small player base compared to the number of items restocking. if we were to suddenly have a significant increase in active daily players,. there wouldn't be a need for so much regulation on supply, but if restocking is to be a truly viable consistent way for people to make sP there needs to be less copies of "super rare" items being stocked, for sure.
Keith said he'd upped the rate of higher rarity restocks because of the quest challenge we're about to have. The result is that even less is stocking in the shops at the moment. It's possible that we will get an increase in active players for this special event. At the very least, regular players will be trying to do more quests so the target is reached.
All I know is the shops need fixed or this is going to really mess everything up.
Hey guys! I just noticed a bug that was reporting things as restocked on my end, and it actually wasn't giving it a quantity. You can see in my screenshot :(
I just fixed it, everything should have the correct quantities now. Thank you for reporting, and let me know how restocking looks over the next few hours!

Oh, gosh. Most items benched for 7 days '-' Won't that create a lack of items to restock, allowing rarer items to restock? If so, that's kinda good, I guess.
I just nabbed a TON of super rares from D&C so I hope that was backlog or something.
I'm pretty positive about the recent changes. So far what I've been seeing in the shops looks good, so I hope that continues. c:
I assume saying "should feel a lot different" is actually saying should restock much less often.
I think less is stocking right now just because the system is still catching up from the chron crash. With a reactive system, it only makes sense for changes to take time to work out well. Of course that means that bad changes aren't noticed til later, but overall it's for the best, I think.
Oh thanx!!! I think this is a very great cheange restock restock restock XD
. From Keith's opening post -
According to that, all the shops should be restocking a bit more because of this quest challenge.
PS: The Book Nook is restocking nicely but the other shops seem broken again. I've been in them when the message is Restock Now and nothing has come in.
that means it's been selected to restock, but all of the items that it wants don't get put in. It'll happen. I'm watching items go out today and it's pretty much across the board better than it has been the past month. That means less high rarity rares are going out (sorry!) but more items are going out across the whole spectrum more in line with individual rariry.

- it's the normals that tend to be the problem.
Oh. Cool. Thanks for this update! :) I hope I can catch some of the higher rarity items soon when I restock, because it's in my wishlist.
Love the changes. I also like the re-implementation of the "wait 5 seconds to purchase again!" rule- this seemed to be missing for a while. It evens out the playing field IMHO.
Yep, things are running smoothly. My shop till gives approval :)
