I think Keith may be asleep right now, but to quote what was said earlier when this was brought up in the shoutbox - Keith isn't selling Subeta, nothing is changing.
I think that Keith stepping down is a good idea. It's been a long time since this site has been run effectively.
Well that is a great way to drop a bomb on the user base. Hope the rest of the staff heard this before the article aired.
I am now curious on this, too.

Aw, was kind of hoping Keith would hand the reins over to someone else. We all know he and his posse really care about Subeta and really love Subeta. But let's face it, Subeta doesn't need love and care anymore. That only goes so far. At some point you have to realize that experience and knowledge are more desirable and will do more to help the site than constantly using it as your learning tool.
Genius or not, you can't geniusly learn economics and business strategies without cracking open some sort of text book.
Although I'm all for him getting a structured job while maintaining Subeta, would love to see how that would impact the site and whether it could be the positive I hope it can be.

Subeta must be more lucrative than I thought... didn't know it could fund world travel OXo
I'm not sure if I'm scared and disinterested in sinking more money in subeta... or amused at the idea of Keith waking up at 5:30 every morning to commute for an hour and some change to get to his funsies office job for a fun day of 7-4 five days a week!
... or if he plans to do programming, more like 7-9 since a great deal of those jobs are salary.
Fun fact: office jobs are only dreamy when you don't have one. I have, a many times, thought about quitting and trying to find a nice slow paced job at Wallyworld.
I really don't see Keith selling out the website. I mean, if he had wanted to, wouldn't he have done it already? Honestly, I'm not gonna put too much faith into that article lmao
"Honestly, I'm not gonna put too much faith into that article lmao"
He literally said it. Keith said it. I don't understand what you're ?ing me for me
Because I don't put faith into just words. If he were to actually make movements toward doing it, then I'd put more stock into it.
Change won't mean better - see : Neopets. We all thought Jumpstart would be glorious and lo and behold.

This is an item that was released this week. This week. You can buy this beauty for 7$, by the way.
But yeah. It can be improvement. But, it might not be. I'll wait and see, but don't ding-dong-the-witch-is-dead-everything-will-be-perfect, please.
she can't do everything on her own.
I mean, my coordinator at work is A+. But, ever since one of our supervisors left for health issues, and another left for another business, the atmosphere at work is not as great.
Keith is still a very big piece and I can see staff being overloaded. There might be a transition going on, but that's still a loss of manpower over there!
I have to agree with what is saying, I don't put much stock into articles if there are no actions to back up the words. People change their minds often, and Keith is no exception to that rule.
Also, articles like that tend to edit/cut and paste, so I've stopped trusting them that much.
