So my GA ran out and I was like, "Eh I'll get a new one." but then I went to buy CSC and omg at the fucking prices! HOLY HELL.

25 million for 500csc? 52.5 million for 1k?

It's been 23-25m for months now. I don't think it makes business sense for Subeta to try to lower the prices. It makes people more likely to buy CSC with real money. The option to buy with sP is still there - it just costs more.

I'm still not sure why the CSC prices are still so inflated. It's been a while since Black Friday and I'm pretty sure last year prices were back to normal rates. It's absolutely insane. :c I feel bad for those who can't/would rather not buy csc straight from the cash shop. It's definitely alienating a chunk of the population. Here's to hoping that it EVENTUALLY gets sorted out...

I would never EVER buy CSC with my real money - so there goes my sP. But really, it has been inflated for months now.

Yeah I'm definitely surprised it's still that high... probably because there's nothing to actually spend sP on so why sell it (that's my boat, everything I want is either ridiculous or cheap).

I imagine if staff culls restocking more it'll only climb higher xD

But otherwise I don't think it's really up to them to regulate prices directly, and the price is that high in the first place due to BF-- apparently, most people cleared out their csc stockholds during that period.

Well, it's not staff's fault csc is so high - it's the users fault.

I wish it was lower but if I really buckle down and make csc I can get enough sP together to get 500csc in less than a month, maybe 1k if I'm lucky, so it eventually stacks together and I can 'get head' with the csc and then I'm good, though. Staff don't control prices really, it's about users buying and selling csc.

What needs to happen is making sP more valuable and more "safe" than csc (to drive up the buying power of sP), but considering stuff like cws are in such high demand on the site, it's difficult to do.

Blame inflation. SP is worthless, and we still do not have our viable SP sink.

You know what would be a handy fucking sP Sink? Throwing some god damn GAs back in the MC. or even CSC.

Honestly, the price seems about right to me. And it's not going to go down any time soon. There are more CWs submitted than ever and I doubt they're going to slow down. There's a reason that people buy large amounts of CSC and sell it en mass. The buyers are there and willing to pay it.

If this happens, it will be for a really limited time, and even then, it will only happen for 1 week GA medals.

Stupid. Just stupid. Huge sP sink & it gets people who don't normally use GAs to use them and then they will find they can't live without them!

GAs as a sp sink would only work in the short term though. They've done it in the past and yes, the sp sink of having GA medals stock in the millionaire center worked for a short amount of time, and then within a few months the economy went out of whack again.

As for CSC while I'm surprised prices have remained so high for so long I"m not really surprised though. When the value of a currency drops, the value of the currency that's more solid and is more likely to remain high stays high. I.e. The real life situation with the economy of the paper cash deflating, but the price of gold going up being one of them. Since sp value is lower the price of the currency that's based on real cash is going up instead though.

basically, subeta has taken out a lot of sitting csc but not sitting sp. So, naturally value of csc in relation to sp rises.

Honestly, i would love to see the numbers for pre- and post- black friday total CSC numbers.

I will simply just hold onto my sP and hoard it. I'd rather hold on to a useless currency en masse than spend it.

Thats basically what I'm doing lol. I have plenty of sP to buy the CSC even at the outrageous prices, but I'm not about to fucking do that! That's madness!

I know I'm certainly part of the problem. Between the adorable wearable animals in the Chance Machine, and the CWs that I think I must have, I'll spend whatever the sellers are asking as fast as I can earn the sP. I don't trust the csc offers not to infect my work computer, and since the Pay by cash option is going away I'm stuck paying whatever the market will bear. I doubt the prices are going to come down at all because the sellers are getting the higher price from folks like me. Why should they? I know I'll continue to pay as much "free" points as it takes to get "real money" points.

Yeah, I think the prices will not be going down unless there's staff intervention, and that's really unlikely/short-term.

Can't imagine what the prices will be during the next sale (we usually have one during the summer, right?).

sighs fondly towards the pre-CW days of yore, when 8 mil would have gotten me 250 CSC lol I know it used to be much lower even than that but even 8mil/250CSC seems like a nice dream now.

The first Black Firday sale we had after cash shop credit cards were available, as a seller, I was thrilled when the price of 500csc shot up to 12 million. hahahaha

As someone who makes profiles (and let's face it, the profile market is dirt fucking cheap) I love that CSC is so high, because that means I make more sP when people don't wanna give me a measly five bucks, and that's wonderful since I'm not on here to quest much anymore. Easy money in my bank.

I have better things to do with my sP! Like get new Subq items!
