When 500 CSC credit cards became a thing, I was struggling to sell for 8M/500
It dipped down to 6.75/7M/500 pretty often
I remember when 2.5 mill would have gotten you the equivalent of 250csc...
This site has gotten ridiculous. I swear if I was still at a point where I had actual things to work for instead of just trading from my massive pile of crap, I'd quit. Ain't nobody got time for this shit. Honestly, I'd rather have subeta that used to be buggy and sometimes down for days than what we have now, because at least back then it wasn't turning into pay 2 win BS.
I have no idea when 500 Credit Gift Cards were released, but I would assume the exchange rate between CSC and sP was lower (idk man correct me if I'm wrong)
But like, after this past Black Friday, 100CSC was going for 3mil+ sP. If your 500 Credit Gift Card isn't selling for that 15mil+, then you should probably break it into five separate cards, because it may mean no one needs/wants 500CSC.
To be honest I think this past BF caused such a massive shift in prices because it was called out as being the last one with half priced Name changes/Name Swaps/Overlays/Pet Slots (and maybe username changes too, I don't recall that one but I assume that one as well)-- so there was a pressing need for csc RIGHT NOW THIS SECOND because once the sale ended that stuff would be full price forever.
Considering how high it was easily selling for there was a massive shift in demand verses supply-- at this point, I imagine a bulk/most of the hoarded back csc is gone (not all of it, but the csc that was wasn't held back for other things, like CWs/to sell as needed). Otherwise, the price would have deflated by now.
It doesn't help ^ as mentioned above, we got a handful of sP sinks (the few we got have been great) but nothing pressing enough to drain a lot of the sP from the site (hopefully we see the islander items return, and Kukukachoos literally unbuyable bobblehead in the MC for a large sum). Not to mention, most of the best stuff goes in the Cash Shop for csc so..
sigh I don't know much about the economy but I think CW prices are a bit ridiculous - like, 500 csc for something tiny and simple? Really? (and I'm talking that being the same price as like, a complex wig or something...)
That and the autopricer is pretty much necessary. I think they should make that able to be purchased for a small amount of CSC or something else without making it GA exclusive... i dunno.
I have no money atm and superrewards hates me and won't let me get any CSC from their offers (same when I try to use them on Smite... being back peanutlabs! They actually works!)
Wasn't that changed ages ago? Small CWs are now less expensive than bigger ones.
Except the autopricer is one of the only reasons people get a GA.
Maybe, I've been digging through the CW shops and it seems the price reduction is either super minor or nonexistant :c
And well, yeah - make it a restricted or costly function for non-GA users and free and unlimited for GA users, perhaps. /shrug
This is very true. I don't buy a ton of things, but on the occasion that I want something expensive quickly, I might break down and sell one or two 500 csc cards for the going rate. It takes MAYBE an hour for someone to buy it- usually less. The demand for csc is a significant one between cws, vanity sets, monthly challengers, etc.. I don't foresee it deflating any time soon.
At least sp is fairly easy to make. I can make 1-2mil per night just from quests profits and I only ever do about half of them.
The price of just a one week GA is beyond ridiculous now. I'd have to drive myself to exhaustion with questing, vending and restocking in order to make a decent profit if I renew my GA.
I don't think they'll be likely to make autopricing a non-GA option any time soon :C From the Frequently Requested Suggestions board:
But tbh I don't mind the price of CSC right now. I can make 5mill~ a day on average so the only time buying CSC has been a problem for me is when I need to choose between buying something expensive I want (CWs) and something expensive I need (more GA time)... which really isn't much of a problem since I pick the GA time, make more sP and then buy the CWs later.
Part of the problem is not enough high-demand items are being released in places that cost sP. It makes sP worth a lot less than it should be because there's nothing to buy with it and people are less likely to bother selling their CSC because the CSC is way more useful. If they'd release more desirable items in the main shops/SBQ/MC (or get some other sink going; I'm still hoping for the "pay-to-put-stickers-in-your-own-album" option), this would be at least slightly less of a problem.
I definitely don't want to see the site become pay to play -- while I have enough Disposable Income to buy some CSC now and again, there are tons of people here who don't (and people unlike me who realize that spending actual money on virtual items is pretty stupid when you think about it), not to mention that the site's not going to get any new users if everything costs money. There's a very real chance that if the site keeps on this path of jamming everything into the Cash Shop and not making anything that really rivals CWs in terms of desirability that it'll kill the site.
I find that CSC goes up in sP price after every Black Friday and stays that way until it goes up again the next November.

To add to everyone else's points, I think the amount of people actually able to purchase CSC has really gone down since they stopped offering Ultimate Gaming Cards. I remember the last time a post like this came up, a lot of people commented on the fact they had no way of buying CSC, since the UGC was their main way of getting it. So that really took a chunk out of people who could buy and sell CSC, thus making it's availability drop; so 'Supply Versus Demand' comes into play. The less people buying, the less people selling, the higher the price is going to be.
I remember. I remember when buying 100 csc for 2.8mil was ridiculous....
I always thought the introductoon custom wears for csc was a bad idea. You are taking items that are started as an idea to be limited for essentially "friends only" and selling them with not commonly used currency. So now what's happening is you have a market group buying cws that are willing to pay a ridiculous amount of money for exclusive items, but now cs items and other areas on the site that also utilize csc are also affected to force users to pay outlandish prices for more common features. Either more options for getting csc other than using real money is needed or customs should be sold using USD to begin with instead of selling 10 copies per however much csc
If it wasn't completely against the rules to sell items for real money, I'd sell my loot and quit because this site is getting ridiculous/too pay to use for my liking.

It's not pay to play, it's called paying for convenience.
Just because pricing 50 pages in a shop is hard/tedious doesn't mean there's a huge red sign on the shop page saying "Hey bro you don't have a Gold ACcount-- you can't sell anything until you buy one :'D". AUtopricing just makes it easier.
Also, there's always a week GA. Way cheaper.
It's way cheaper relatively speaking (almost 8 million), but I do think that it's a pretty good bargain if you spend a lot of time questing and restocking.
...This. I mean, I doubt I'd quit, but there's a lot of shit I wouldn't keep holding on to for no other reason than the fact that I paid actual money for it/the csc to get it.
