I think a huge reason that CSC is so "expensive" (I don't believe it is, but to each their own) is because so fewer people are buying specifically to sell. SP has so little value on here right now that most people who buy CSC in bulk likely save most of it to use on CS items, CWs, art, etc. When something comes along that requires sp, tossing a 500csc in the trades for 25mil practically guarantees it will be gone in under 15mins, usually far quicker then that. And 25mil will get you quite a bit since most sp stuff is so cheap.

I have a shit ton of sp and really nothing to spend it on. I used to buy csc in bulk often specifically to sell since I needed the sp to fund my hoarding gallery. That gallery got so large it would no longer load and Keith had been hinting for awhile that he was going to put a cap on the size of them. So I started selling everything off. Now days I have enough sp that I don't need to buy csc to sell so I just hoard.

Subeta really needs to create more sp sinks to get all this excess sp out of the site. Once that happens I think the csc prices should slowly go back down.

I am not affected by this because it's ages ago that I bought more than 100csc with sP but looking at the prices of the cards now nearly made my eyes pop out of my head - just wow. I really hope something can be done to make the prices go back down, 25mil for 500csc is ridiculous. :o

Well, they are "normal." It's the current CSC/sP ratio. The price may or may not eventually come back down, but you shouldn't feel dumb because of the current ratio :x

The price of CSC is super high atm and it sucks for people who don't use real money to buy it like me (I have like 185 CWs and have only bought a grand total of 4 out of those with real cash). But what can you do? CSC will always be in demand so really nothing can be done about it. I'm scared to know what the price will be after next year's BF sale. ;_;

Yeah but it stinks because buying CSC with real money isn't a possibility for me right now, I'm brazilian and the dollar is crazy expensive around here! Not to mention the taxes :( So my hands are tied =/

Whoever hoarded csc as an investment probably sold most or all of it last BF, because of all the last-time deals spiking up the price, and now whenever people spend money on the site they seem to be either aiming for some of the new CS releases or CWs. Which, imo, have slowed a fair bit in comparison to one or two years ago. Maybe the number of items hasn't decreased so much, but consider yourself lucky if you get a couple completely full batches on your items nowadays. Even the resale prices on r200 seem to have decreased considerably.

So summing it up, I just haven't seen as much csc being thrown around these days.

Edit: Yeah, couple that with some disinterest for sp releases and/or lack of better sp sinks.

When I joined, it was 3m for 100 csc. That was only back in october of last year, too. I really don't know what to do anymore, guys. Now I'd be jumping at 4m for 100 csc. At this point, I'd probably start to go for 5m.

When CS was first introduced it was sold for such low low amounts. It was so igh to think 1USD = 1mil on Subeta. Eventually it got to a more stable price I figured, 1USD = 2.5mil. As someone who is sitting on a nice hoard of CSC, and sells it occasionally to buy new TC items, it is awfully expensive :/

I'm going to blame all the new cs stuff. Like the delish lines. I don't remember subeta ever having new delish THIS frequently. Maybe they did years back, idk. Right now, it just feels like once a month we're going to get two new delish lines and they're going to jack up the prices. It's going to be 10mil by the end of the year, if not over, you'll see. :x

i'm sad about the price too. i was just about to be frequent GA buyer this year when the price of 100 csc is at 5m. but after asking around and try it for a week, i feel it wasn't worth it. i had to work hard and spend more time just to break even. sure at first few days i got tons of sp due to tons of old items in shop, then it almost stop coming. csc is expensive and sp items are too cheap at that time. now they are 6m for 100 csc. good thing this site is playable without relying on csc.

Used to be I could get an UGC (I do get paid to sites and one of those pays out in $5 UGC) but...well, no more UGC now. I was thinking of getting a GA myself but jeebus!

Lifting the vending cap or raising it, or...I don't know, something. It's at the point where my having 100 mil is practically meaningless. I can't find any artists either, no one really good wants to be paid in sp anymore.

Lifting or increasing the vending cap will only make SP more worthless, causing CSC to inflate further, because it inserts items in the economy, without removing SP.

Meaning if vending cap increases, you lose some more buying power with your SP. Don't wish for that if you have SP on hand

I remember when there was black friday sales and I huffed at spending 12mil/500 csc. God I spent so little on my first 10 extra pet slots, back when they were still like 4k csc, I remember being upset it was like 50-65mil per slot(waiting for a sale and feeling like hot shit cuz I paid like 30-40mil a piece).

Only thing I can really see encouraging people to lower their prices is just to not buy csc until the prices go down. Eventually those assholes selling it for so much might get the hint at how scumbaggy this kind of behavior is. It's gonna be mega hard for me, since I use my GA for layering/vending purposes. I wanna choke every single one of them.

The thing is, things are only 'worth' what people are willing to pay for them. CSC has been at 25m+ since last black Friday sale which was what? November? so like 6 months and showing no signs of decreasing in price. It's pretty fucked up to call people 'assholes' and 'scumbaggy' when they are only selling for what it's going for. I've sold a ton of csc @ 25m+ and it sells out of my shop within an hour. So while it might suck for you, Yes, csc is 'worth' 25m per 500 because that's what people are willing to pay. Well, you can always console yourself with the fact that it's 'cheap' now because come black Friday again it's probably going to go up to again LOL

there's no need for name calling. it is very simple supply and demand situation. there is not really many people selling CSC but there is obviously huge demand for them. even if one person decide to try lowering the market price by selling them at much lower price, there will always be buyers cause of huge demand and resellers buying them off cause they know people are willing to pay high price for them. it sucks, but it just how the free market works.
