Hi! We're obviously going to have another black friday sale this year, so I wanted to check with you guys again. Last year we put all of the items in the CS on sale, so this year we'd be putting all of the items in the new CW shops on sale.

Last year we cut prices by 25% (I believe?) but still gave you guys the same amount of CSC, as if it had sold at the regular price.

Is that still okay? Do you want changes? Let me know ❤

I would love this. I was going to do my own sale in my shop.....but some items are at the minimum price already and those I sadly can not decrease the price in. So only certain items would be discounted.

YES PLEASE!?! I'm in agreement with KarenP... I would have done a sell in my own shop too... This would just make everything so much easier! And it's such a nice thing to do for all the users! I know I personally look forward to this ALL year long!!! :D

I'm up for a sale :) Like a few others I was going to discount some stuff but this saves me the hassle.

Plus there's plenty of items for 700csc that I want but don't really want to pay that for so I will definitely scoop them up if I can get them a bit cheaper.

But how would this work? Seeing as users set their own prices now, they're a range of different prices instead of the flat rate that they were back when the CS had its CW section. I'm just curious to know how something user-controlled can be discounted by staff.

I'm assuming that the prices would just be discounted 25% across the board? So if you have something priced at 600csc it would be on sale for 450csc. If it was priced at 700csc it would be discounted to 525csc and so on.

hm. I guess that makes sense. I'm supposing it'd be the submission costs that would be discounted? Heehee I'm all fine for a sale as long as everyone gets the same amount of CSC as they would prior to one ;)

Go nuts! My items are unpopular, so maybe a sale will help them to move a bit :'D Poor things.

I'm good with that, if people don't want their items to be cheaper for whatever reason, they can temp-retire them for the duration of the sale (: Just make a proper warning a few days before and I think it should be fine!

[edit] If the submission costs were to be slashed the queue would go ABSOLUTELY crazy, I know this wasnt mentioned but yeah. The discount normally goes on Subeta's cut for pre approved items only (the base 500) and doesn't affect the user's cut xD

Considering that, if all items were discounted 25% on the base 500, a 600 item would cost 475, a 700 item 575, and so on. Would probably be better for Subeta, haha. If it was 25% over the whole price, an item placed for 3000 would get discounted to 2250, but the creator would still need to get 2500 so Subeta would have a 250 loss. n_n !

Btw, I think the bug that doesn't let us price items at submission cost still persists?

I'm good with this! :) Though I think the discount should only be for already-approved items, not the submission cost.

I would love a sale, and hope that more people will take my items home with them. But since users can set prices, wouldn't it be easy for some people to take advantage? Say you have an item at 600CSC, and during the sale you increase the price.....?

I don't mind, hopefully people will buy some stuff if it's cheaper.

I would hope people don't increase prices during the sale what a jip! I wouldn't want to buy from those people ever again, if so, honestly.

If possible a 'Participate in the sale' button of some sort would be cool. Maybe it could prompt the user like an event a couple days before the actual sale. That way people can either be in the sale or not and still have their items in their shops. I think it would be a little annoying for some users with a lot of items to remove them and then have to re-add them after the sale. Maybe even a button in the CW shop information that just says 'Join Subeta Sales?' and if you check yes, it automatically enlists you for all them, not just Black Friday (and you can change it when ever)

TLDR; I don't mind the sale, as long as it doesn't AUTOmatically throw everyone into it, in case some people aren't on Subeta to make the choice, or just don't want to lose sales so they don't have to give sale prices.

I'm fine with the sale, personally.

Especially if/since the cw sellers get the same profit as if the item had sold normally, and buyers just get the chance to get things cheaper. I know I've got a small stash of csc set aside to specifically buy things from cw user shops.

I'm all for a CW sale for Black Friday again this year, especially if we still get the same amount of CSC as if it sold at the regular price (that way the buyers get a good deal, and the CW shop owners don't make a loss on any sales) :D
