Will we still be able to lock/unlock items themselves during the sale? I just got a notice that prices need to be changed prior to the sale (which is fine) but I have some people who still need to pick up their copy of an item and I don't want to have to force them to wait until after the sale if possible.
Thanks :)
Since the sale doesn't start until Monday, if I lower my prices now, will I still get the same amount of CSC as if it had sold at the regular price (which I assume would be the way during the sale)?

Sounds good! Mine's at the minimum anyway c:
Mischievous Diadem available in my CW shop!
(My items are at minimum price, though it might not line up with the item type, since most of them were submitted early 2013 (before the base price changes.))

Hm, no, I'm fairly sure that if we lower our prices (when possible), we're agreeing on taking a smaller profit. So if my item is 700 and I make it 600, I'm willingly taking a 100 profit instead of 200 so the sale can be more enticing to my customers! And then on top of that, Subeta will apply its discount.
Whatever the prices are on Sunday night, Subeta will lock them until the 1st and apply the 25% c:
talking about the actual discount mechanics here, feel free to skip!
Now, if you asked me, I'd guess the discount would only apply on Subeta's cut (ex. the item costs 600, Subeta's cut is 500. Discounting 25% off these 500, we get 375, plus the 100 profit, the sale price of the item would be 475).
There's a chance the 25% discount will apply over the whole price (ex. item is 600, discount 25% and the sale price is 450). The issue with this is that I may have an item costing, say, 3000 csc. This means my profit would be 2,500 csc, while Subeta takes 500. Well, taking 25% off the 3000 tag, we get to the sale price of 2250, which means that the site would be losing 250 csc to keep my profits intact as promised. Granted, very few items (if any) would be priced this highly, so it might be worth the risk for the sake of simplicity on discounts, but imo it's still not a great precedent to open. :x
Edit, just realized that, few items or not, this opens the door for abuse, so yeeah, discounts are certainly going to go over Subeta's cut only!
I am confused by the notification that says, 'You have until Sunday Night to finalize your prices'. Do we have to change anything before Sunday in order to get the sales prices? I just want to make sure.. my items could use some selling, so I definitely need the sales prices! :)

I think this is so that you can raise your prices slightly if you dont want them selling for quite so low,if i remember right keith said nothing would go lower then 500 csc though with the 25% discount applied. id ping keith directly though for clarity
Ok, thanks hun. :)

I actually don't want to do this, as my items aren't unlimited. I had people pay full price for the first batches, and I think it'd only be a kick in the teeth to them if other people could suddenly buy them for less. I password protected them until the end of the sale, but I wish there was an opt out option.
Will there be some mods reviewing submitted CWs before the end of the day tonight? Because I submitted some CWs that were having a hard time filling the whole batch direct to cash shop in hopes that I might be able to put it up for the sale (I submitted them on Friday). I know they don't review it every day and whatnot, and sometimes it takes a while, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who hopes to get their item on site before the sale. So I'm wondering if maybe they'll take a look at them today so that we can put them up and price them before the price changing locks?
Edit: This literally just happened for a recolor as I posted this. And I waited a few minutes before posting it too.. -.- Disregard. ;P Hopefully my new submission won't have any issues because I won't have the chance to resubmit it for the sale.
if my second item gets approved after midnight would I be able to file a ticket to edit the price on it so that people can grab it for the sale? My revolt got approved earlier but a new submission hasn't gotten responded to and I've been checking regularly but it would be a shame because I submitted it/pushed to cash shop with the hopes for it to be included in the sale. I didn't know to submit it sooner because we didn't get a notification until Fri and it takes a while to get approved.
Could we get some clarity on how the pricing will work for this? I understand shop owners will still get the same profit but like ok let's say I re-price my wigs to 800 csc then 25% off would make them 600 csc correct? Is it staff that will be setting the 25% to come off or are we supposed to be lowering our own prices if we want them to reflect the sale? And how low are prices on items allowed to go with the discount applied to them if staff is handling it? Thanks
how I understand it'll work is that it will be a sty price and the system will take 25% of the price automatically, so if you lower the price, it'll take a further 25% of that lowered price. The minimum you can set something is the minimum price of the item
So apparently we can't edit the shop at all during the sale? 'cause every time I try, even if I just edit the description of the shop or move things to different categories, I get
"Oh No! You can't change the price of this item to anything but 0 during a sale. If you change it to 0, you will not be able to price it again until the sale is over."
