Obviously, you've never been apart an operation so big as to move the servers to a completely different host. Obviously, you've never lifted a finger when it comes to making sure all the data is transferred in completion.

OBVIOUSLY, you have nothing else better to do if you REALLY complain about something being fixed.

So do us all a favor, and complain in your journals, don't ticket about it and pick up a new outdoor sport or hobby.

I can understand why you'd be angry. I've been seeing alot of complaint boards about it recently, but I've been here two years and this is literally the worst it's ever been. I can understand it can only go up from here, though and some people don't. But why not just let it play out?

That edit made me think of a friend of mine. Anywho, I agree with you. Though I was a little annoyed by the site being down I do know how much work Keith, Alex and all the other staff put into the site, and that they're doing their best to make Subeta a great site. And with all they're doing right now, I'm sure that'll be achieved pretty soon. I wish some of the complainers would keep that in mind.

I agree. So hard. -.-; I don't get why they're complaining anyway. The site is up for the most part, and sure it's laggy, but so? And half the time when I see it go down I refresh and it's right back up! It just means that you don't get a couple days or hard-questing and you get out on the forums and talk a little or something. I really do fail to see why so many people are upset by this and I think that it's not really the 'older' Subetians that are upset with this, but that it's the newer ones that have so come to learn to take all of Subeta for granted, well big news guys--THIS ISN'T A PERFECT SITE. There are downs, lots of them, but then Keith, and Alx and everyone else come in with a great big up. So just strap on your big kid pants and deal with it. Nothing goes perfectly, ever. Why should Subeta? It would get boring. :c

SpirALEX (I think, don't much care to check. xD) YES. It is, but that is always the first and lamest excuse of anyone who can't think of something better. If the only thing that you have to defend your complaint with is THAT then you shouldn't be complaining out int he open in the first place! I find that to be such a terrible and sorry excuse that I nearly throw my computer everytime I see it. Yes, it's the complaining forum, but we also have a right to talk. That's why it's the forums. Maybe we should change journals to 'Bad Complainer's Corner' So people will start using it. Becuase they obviously can't tell the difference between something that should be out there (or that already IS) and something that is an actually complaint. :c

They're complaining because they think the lag sucks, a lot of down time, etc; site being moved or not this still seems a valid reason to complain, and I can't see a better place to do it but here.

This isn't a perfect site? Then it's normal that people complain, this is just logical.

[edit]If no one was complaining, Keith, and everyone in charge of this would actually think Subeta is perfect which means, nothing has to be done to improve. this is wrong. So people will complain, complains aren't just negative, they can help the site in some way.

I think people take the site a little too seriously. I admit that I get a little annoyed when I try to get on the site and it's down, but I have other things I can do so I just move on. Subeta, while fun, is not my entire life. I also feel as though a little bit of inconvenience now is worth it to have the site more stable later. Really what's the point of freaking out over it? Do people really have nothing else they can do? Come on! It's summer go outside and enjoy the weather. =/

Yes, but not every person who has a problem with it needs to make a board. People read through these boards just as much as they read the original post of a new one. I'm slightly upset with the lag, and the people complaining about it--but I don't make a new board unless there isn't one. Why can't people just do that? It's not like their complaint is any less valid if they post on someone else's board. It's not like they'll steal your complain-thunder. ;^;

Besides, can you imagine how much it sucks for staff to go down the B&C and see 4- boards complaining about something that they're working so hard to fix? Especially when there are some that agree on every. single. one. It has to be pretty upsetting. I know it would be for me. ;^;

Or prior to that when I had to let the site "cool down" every couple hours.

Anyway, I agree with you. Those lag boards begin to remind me of those boards where somebody 'discovered' that subeta.net took you to the 'neopets' front page.

Haha yeah, Keith. I took quite a hiatus at one point. I tend to get really addicted, leave, then come back and it starts all over again. ^^;

Yeah because clogging the forums with invalid complaints about the lag which is in the process of being fixed for everyone SEE: ANNOUNCEMENT is helping quite tremendously, thx Alex for making me see the light.

Personally, I've hardly noticed that the site's been lagging/off... Maybe people stay online for too long DX It's summer, go out and do something.. I'm sure subeta will be back up before you know it. No need to get your knickers in a knot :s

So we should not make boards because staff will be sad? No? Staff should work even harder if they see a lot of boards complaining, eventually it will be very rewarding for them when no one will be complaining about it anymore.

You see this in real life.

Lets just use my job as an example. I am responsible for signing up any student for summer school that comes from another college. And there is a certain time when they can apply. So I get a large amount at once...and I am the only one that can process them. So I get tons of calls asking for status updates and I have to explain that this is a lot of work and when you call me and bother me about it, that means that I won't process it as fast.

So yeah...the staff is trying. It is a big job and you can't expect such a big move to be perfect right off the bat. Patience!

Honestly, though. People are more than welcome to complain. I'm not happy with the state of things right now, and neither is . That's why we're working to correct it.

However, the board shouldn't be full of threads related to it. If you want to complain, and there is already a board about the lag, or the downtime, post your opinion there. There is no need to make another thread.

Also, everyone, take any bragging you have to journals too. I mean, who the hell wants to hear about a new art commission or reaching one million sp for the first time over and over?

God, I'm so sick of all this complaining and bragging on this board.
