Oh and by the way, there will always be an exception. Whether its a firefox memory leak, IE being unusually slow or Chrome not being compatible with the slightest change -- the site will always not be "up to speed" for one person.

This kinda reminds me of the boards that are about how much everyone hates Twilight. In that they're just as annoying as the boards about Twilight.

Some people really don't understand it though. When every other site they go to loads instantly and works perfectly, and Subeta is lagging and going down and things are all out of whack, it's natural that they will complain.

Not everyone is so computer/web-savvy that they understand what moving servers really means and entails, the work and time and effort that needs to go into fixing things and getting everything running smoothly. All they really know is that their favorite site isn't working right, and they're failing quests and whatnot, and it's annoying. Annoyances = complaints.

That aside - I absolutely love boards that are complaining about people complaining :D

I felt the need to point out what you are forgetting. Not EVERY single person on Subeta knows when a problem/glitch/lag issue is being worked on. News posts are rarely made about this kind of thing.

Not all people realize that Subeta is on Twitter with updates, some people don't even use twitter.

Also, those Keith Answers haven't been updated in forever.

So, a lot of the time, people are complaining or reporting about a glitch/lag issue/problem that they honestly don't know is in the process of being fixed.

EXAMPLE: The clock randomly changing time. Nothing was mentioned by Keith of that issue being known of.

i actually haven't noticed it being that bad.. maybe i am just not online 24/7...

I think people have every right to complain about the lag and issues regarding the site if they at least understand that Subeta aren't just ignoring the problems or are having a moan saying that Subeta's coders should get their act together. I've seen a few posts that expect everything to run smoothly when it obviously isn't going to.

I think most people are just annoyed that Subeta have so many issues and actually feel sorry for the coders for having so much work and hassle when things go really wrong. To the ones that are just being bitchy for the sake of being bitchy and whiny, then yes I totally agree and think they should just shut up.

Imo, threads like these are more annoying than the actual "omg the lag is bad" threads. Why feel the need to complain about people who are complaining? It's just adding to the original topic of site lag and all of that.

/edt2 Though I suppose this post is overall irrelevant to the topic at hand - e.g. complaining about complaining about the lag - I'd just like to say that, even at its slowest, this really hasn't been that bad. I mean, ignoring the twenty minutes it wasn't working and Mysql'd, it only took a minute to load pages, at the most, for me, and I don't have the world's fastest connection.

But at the topic at hand, I've always liked you MC, but I agree with everyone in that I feel like this is hypocritical and complaining about complaining is irritating and all that jazz. fkdlldfg.

My worst experience was the rollback over a year ago. I had literally done nothing but vend because I was trying to get recycle beast stuff.

They rolled back everything to to the day before, except shops were rolled back like 9 or 10 days.

So, when this was announced i realized that I wouldn't have the tokens I spent on vending. And I wouldn't have the items that I had vended. I spent tons of time and sp on it, I was literally sick to my stomach, I thought I would lose so much.

Staff was great in that they returned the tokens to me, but I just couldn't muster up the energy to vend like that again. So, I never got those items back.

Little big of lag isn't anything compared to a huge rollback. xD

This board is even worse then the complaining boards. Attention-seeking FTW.

I believe for the most part that everyone has been told about Subeta's server switch. Lag and down time were expected so I really don't see why some people should be complaining so much when they should know that there is a reason for the way the site is behaving...

I think some were complaining, such as myself, because I had a GA at the time and felt it being wasted when I couldn't do anything at it does get frustrating.

The OP is right and wrong, to me. If you want to complain about the lag, PLEASE do not create another board! Post in the one that's open. It's annoying to see 1234567 boards saying 'OMG IT'S SLOW'.

Also, complaining about people complaining is just..stupid. Complaining about how people cannot post in a board, and need to make their own, is ok.

I've got a gold account too, one that I finally splurged on after a long time of going without. However, the site lag/downtime was truly, truly nothing compared to what we've seen in the past.

Wait, what time could you possibly have lost to do things? I don't remember it being down for more than twenty minutes?

Maybe I'm missing something, but I really don't see anything on the first page that makes it seems like there are a large amount of complaint topics related to the switch. I saw 'downtime' and that's about it.

Even if there were more earlier, they obviously weren't important enough to stay around long enough and would've died off easily as they always do.

As I only see one complaint thread related to it, this topic seems really irrelevant. :/
