YES. This pound snatching (Yes, I know the found is fair game. But the people who get the pets are being real dicks about it.) shit is starting to get out of hand. My friend just had the same thing happen to her, only she was sending the pet instead or receiving it. :P
I'd laugh if it was the same guy that did a similar thing to me last week!
Anyway, transfer system (and the option to trade pets) = yes pls. I've said that many times though now I feel redundant.

- I absolutely agree with you, and I'm sorry for your friend.
- Actually, it's about Aladdin, but yes, I seriously think a transfer system needs to be put into action.
- Dickface is an understatement.
- I'm going to take a wild guess and say Neopets?

There have been a lot of dickfaces doing this shit lately. It's making me angry.
I don't even think about giving up pets, but I still think this would be a nice idea :(
I personally believe the pound is fine the way it is, but if people are going to act like it's neopets (snatching, then ignoring, then blocking)... a transfer system might nip the problem in the bud before too many more tears are spilled over lost pets.

- I thought the same too, until the Neo-like behavior started up, and I finally realized something needs to change.

Oh, I meant the same user who did the same thing. It's not though. Sad, that means there's more than one user who's doing similar things. |: Sorry about your friend's loss, that really sucks. I hope you figure out some way to get him back like I did!

- I'm really thinking of talking with the new owner, but I'm a little worried about harassment.

I play Subeta because the community is soooo awesome. People are generally courteous, polite, fair, and just plain friendly. Example: more than once people have returned my mispriced shop items when they have absolutely no obligation to. Would that ever happen on neopets? Fat chance. Knowing the pound here is becoming more like the pound over there makes me feel very sad. :(

I can't believe people actually snatch the pets and keep them. I know the adoption center is open to everyone, but if someone mails you with a calm explanation I don't see why you wouldn't give the pet back. I accidentally adopted a experiment pet from the pound that was in a transfer but gave him back because it just seems low to keep the pet. It might be different though if say the would be owner mails you talking in all caps like on some other websites...
- Indeed. I quit Neo from the escalating CG's and scams.
And...
I thought you should see this....

GOD YES.
I hope they're seriously considering doing this since lately, this has become a very big issue. It was an issue before but I think clearing the pound kind've added a shitload of fuel to the fire D:
I was lucky in that the times I've sent (2) and received (4) pets, I didn't have any problems whatsoever but I was sweating the entire time just WORRIED, you know? So.
Yeah. A transfer system would be nice.
And I'm sorry for your friend D: I hope she doesn't quit because of the jerk who did that. I'd try and be optimistic and say maybe they didn't know but if she (hopefully nicely) sent him a comment or sMail and then they blocked her, well.
ok, this really shouldn't happen if you do the transfers secretly and quickly. :/ What are the chances someone sees your pet in the pound at a random time and snatches it before you do? Obviously something is strange.
Buying: (13 mil per)

Selling:
- Oh good, you're not one of the people that shit just rolls out their mouths.
Congratulations on getting your pets safely, as well as giving.
Yes, she sent a small comment, rather politely, and the OP started with the "Sorry, pound is fair game" neo bullshit.

This shit is getting stupid. I'm sick of seeing this happen to people, it's just not right. I know it's legal by the rules, but it's still upsetting and downright petty. It's not that hard to get a pet you want that you should feel the need to steal it from someone else. I know if I ever accidentally adopted someone else's pet, I would return it in a heartbeat.
[/endrant]
And yes, transfer system please.
[edit] Actually, considering there's no longer 3k pets in there, the chances of seeing that pet at the exact moment are pretty good.
I hate to agree, but a transfer system would be useful if people keep acting like utter tards. :( And it's not even very many people, just a few who are ruining things for everything else, am I right? (I don't want to get jumped on because I'm generalizing, so I'm trying to make this utterly clear.)
iawtc.
If you do your transfer properly, i.e refresh PRIOR to the waiting time, use the quick adopt link, have a friend that can back-you up, add notes on the pet profile, it works like a charm.
If you refresh late, use the search option, and didn't plan a backup, you may lose your pet. You may not, but the chances are far higher.
Ugh.. if I adopted a pet that was being transfered and someone smailed me about it I'd feel really horrible if I didn't give it to them x_x. Snatching pets has been happening a lot lately, I think a transfer system would be good.
To repeat that old adage-shit happens. The snatcher could have gotten a lucky refresh, the pet's intended owner could suddenly have their internet start lagging, ect.
And I'd just like to say that the person who took my friend's pet responded to my mail and claimed she HAD responded to the comments (A bald-faced lie.), then proceeded to block me before I had a chance to poke holes in her story. Bitch forced me to use the worst insult in my book, the one I reserve for extremely special cases. :P
