We still talk too much!
From previous thread
thanks :d I wanted to try out the background, and Niamh decided it should have a cherry blossom outfit to go with it ;)
The exchange rates are pretty rubbish too - you know when you were last over here that it was near enough one pound = 2 dollars? It's near enough one pound = one dollar now :K
hides behind the chair ....I mean that's a perfectly awesome outfit that doesn't look too scary or creepy in any way! 😇
you're clearly a lot more skilled than I am! I think maybe I put too much effort into trying to get them to match, so it's guaranteed that they won't

hope you both are well :)
yeah the pound is down a lot because of covid, I hear.
today's ha is very pretty.
hehe thanks :D I was pleased with my clown XD
I can't get the old board to load and see your reply. How are you?
I can't get the old board to load either, can't remember exactly what I wrote. o-o I am doing okay, Started on some new meds, hope those will work better. o-o Had 3 different doc appointment this week and a dentist one, glad I am done with them all. lol You?
Thanks for the new board!
I am not sure how skilled I am to be honest with knitting, as I struggle with keeping an even tension a lot of the time. Especially if I am working with more than one colour!

and the new Prime Minister, and her somewhat loopy ideas, plus Brexit (you can blame that for anything :P) - there's a never-ending list of stuff that's being blamed other than covid! Thanks :) I thought Niamh should get a chance to have a witchy look.... although she is moaning that the wardrobe refuses to load, as she says her current outfit is getting a little smelly :P
I eventually managed to get the old thread to load, so here's what Lene put last:
well my knitting tension usually ends up way too tight (I've snapped plastic needles before 😊) :P I get on better if I'm working with two colours and can twist it behind the stitches, but floating long threads behind the stitches always ends up with a massive knot o.O
Bit of a random question - do you do colouring or painting or anything like that?

I am having some trouble getting this thread to open too, but it finally worked. o-o
That is impressive being able to break plastic needles. :P I learned that buying thinner wood ones doesn't work out too well, as I will break those sometimes. :P
I don't do much colouring or painting, other than diamond painting which I have gotten into and love. :D

it takes a lot of refreshes to get any forum page to load :K I'm hoping Keith can sort out whatever's making it lag so much before we get to Morostide starting!
I've never broken any wooden ones (yet) but it was the tip of the plastic ones - then I had to try and transfer all my stitches to a new needle, without dropping any 😊
notes that down 😇

I'm also starting a new medication here's hoping they work for us :) I got to do some sewing today. It wasn't huge amount but I'm pleased. I made myself a totebag. LOL I have a lot of those all over the place :D
that's how it works, find something to blame and go with it lol. Ooh look that cloud formation is totally making the pound go down o.0 XD Yeah I wasn't happy with the days it took for the wardobe issue to be fixed either. But I finally was able to get in and change--subeta working and having internet working at the same time hasn't been easy o.0
Yup, morostide should start later this month. o-o And then there is back to back events almost. Puh!
Thicker wooden needles are hard to break, but if you have a 2.5mm one, not so much. :P At least from my experience. I have learned to fix any dropped stiches with a crochet hook. Best way to do it from my experience.
Yay for new totebag. :D I have been crocheting the slippers mum ordered. The old ones are starting to fall apart, even after many repairs. lol

ooo that's a brilliant use of that Survival skin today 😮 And I hadn't realised the wardrobe was working again (I gave up a couple of days ago, and figured it wasn't worth sitting there refreshing it for ages :P)
the average start date for Morostide is the 15th (I was bored one day so I worked out the average start dates for every regular Subeta event, and put them on Lorna's profile :P) so hopefully Keith's got it all sorted! It seems to be running a lot smoother so far today at least. The thinnest wooden needles I've ever tried were 3mm I think (I've never used thinner than that even in metal) but I can see how they'd be more likely to snap if they're that thin! nods a crochet hook is definitely a good idea for picking up a dropped stitch - I usually end up with the stitch looking twisted, but most of the time it isn't going to be something that someone else would notice.

oh nice :D I'm sure she'll be happy with those :D <3
why thank you :D lol I wanted to do a swamp thing type HA And what a great use of the dragon XD Nimah looks great. lol I was too stubborn to give up lmao.
It worked brilliantly - as does today's look! :) Well I cheated - the dragon, hair, hairpiece and dress are all one item, so it didn't need much effort :P
hehe I've got the stubbornness, but didn't have the patience to keep refreshing ;)

They did say in the news now it will start next week, which is not a huge surprise. :) I find that it is the easiest with a crochet hook and if done right you won't even be able to tell that you picked up a stitch. ;)
She has been talking a lot about how the old slippers I made for hers has gotten many holes in them now, even tho she has been repairing them too... very subtle hints. xD

thanks. I was going for a dino type ha :D yes lol I know but it still looked good :D haha
-giggles- that's brillant
I didn't have to buy any new yarn, so it worked out for using some of my stash. :) Fairly quick project too.

looks like it might be a bit later than the 15th then, unless they're counting the weekend as 'next week' ;) But as long as the site can handle trick or treating, then I'm happy ;)
I think I need to practise that a bit laughs maybe I should knit something and intentionally drop a stitch to get the hang of that ;)
it worked brilliantly, but today's one is even more stunning! :P
My printer decided it didn't want to take up paper any more (it keeps saying "out of paper" than "paper jam" before eventually printing on the 7th try if you're lucky) so I finally got a new one.... which was interesting to try and set up. I was trying to scroll down the list on the printer's screen for what country it's being used in, and presumably I hit one of the options instead of scrolling, as all the countries vanished long before I got anywhere near the UK listing o.O

why thank you. Sorn couldn't resist the anubis head.
I love your ha with all the black and oranges and the new scarf sets it off. I didn't get that as I didn't think I'd really use it.
Oh my lol that's not very helpful is it?
it definitely suited him ;) And all the layering in today's look is perfect too!
Thanks :) I couldn't resist trying to pick oranges and blacks to go with the scarf even if some of the items are a little unusual (like the dress over the trousers :P)
And there doesn't seem an option to change the country from whatever it set itself to, so I'm stuck with it thinking it's somewhere it isn't o.O

Time to let you gals know I am going on a trip again. Visiting a friend of mine. :) 2 hours by plane, so not too bad. Will be gone from Saturday to Wednesday. Won't be on subeta much, if at all. :)
Paddy: I am kinda hoping they wait until I am back from my trip. But it looks like I am not going to miss out on too much of it either way.
You could do that, practice on a project you don't mind ruining. I always end up missing stitches somehow, especially if I have more than one needle that I am working with. :)
Raven: It is so tricky trying to figure out how to use left over yarn. Whyyyyyy. :P

the only time I e ver tried using double pointed needles, I think I dropped about 10 stitches overall.... I gave up after that :P
ooo I hope the trip goes well :D If it starts before then, I'll try and trick or treat on your profile so you still get some items ;)
