hellooooo everyone! We've been working hard over the last few days to wrap up a lot of the problems plaguing the site after our downtime. Thank you again for your patience while we work this out.
High level updates:
- We are now entirely off of Amazon!
- I rewrote our entire database structure, which was a lot of work. This basically boils down to routing all of our legacy queries
- I moved us from our legacy caching infrastructure to a more modern redis cache -- this also took a fair amount of work but should speed up the site significantly
Things we know are broken:
- Shoutbox auto refreshing
- Some areas of the site still break with apostrophes
- Legacy shops currently do not show up (all of the items in them are fine)
We're still working on lag / general errors as well, and will keep updating over the next few days!

📝 Things not working since maintenance and other threads
📝 Shop search: Lag workaround: Item hover links, the sidebar Shop Search widget, and the search buttons on Quest pages all send you to ushop.php?act=dosearch&itemname=ITEM&type=shops which redirects to user_shops.php/search/shops/ITEM which is the one that actually works. If your quests are lagging badly, try using the second URL.
Note: the "Shop Search" link on the Account Search page links to the right place, without needing to redirect.
Fixed recently!
📝 User account/prefs misc:
- Could not edit forum signature
📝 User shops:
- Apostrophe Apocalypse breaking CW shops
- Items priced with CSC were showing as 0 sP in the shop search can&;t purchase items priced for CSC from usershops
- Sales History not working: showing again now, but RIP the data from when it wasn't You have shop purchases....
📝 Wardrobe:
- default hairs (Hair Salon) were not showing, see post
📝 Battling:
- all battles were counting as battle quests; don't grind for wins because you won't up your count or get the loot Battle colliseum messed up | Completing a battle quest no matter who I challenge
- battle win counts bugged out 🆕
- opponent HP buggy 🆕
📝 Pets:
- could not rearrange pet treasures (gave blank page with list of numbers) Can&;t order pet treasure
- could not set pet order
📝 database.subeta.net:
- beta site now closed
- code tested there is now live
- thread locked Database Rewrite & Testing!
📝 Had been failing to reset:
- 🆕 Bug has pushed a fix! Hopefully these will reset tonight!
- The Rift
- Recycle Beast
- Hustler
- Potion Lottery
- Item Drive
- Quests didn't reset on Monday 18th, but did on Tuesday it is 12:10am and quests have not reset | Quests not reset today | Quests not resetting
📝 Vending - ate tokens, didn't give items. Mods say pls don't vend atm. Vending disabled/ Now fixed! Vends not giving items

Thank you for the downtime updates and working on the endless stack of unexpected issues.
I just wanted to check if you knew about the "organize items" option in wardrobe giving an "application error" page?
Hello! Fixes are still ongoing, but here's a quick update with a little more detail, to keep you in the loop!
Since we have so much coding/fixing to work on, we cannot list every error we're aware of right now, or take the time to acknowledge many bug reports with a staff reply. However, please rest assured we are still reading every report, so if you've said something or pinged us somewhere, rest assured that it's not being ignored - and that we appreciate you bringing it to our attention. <3
Okay, now for some info!
Vending machines
- The fixes for these ended up being more complicated than we hoped. But the good news is that we've been working on them and these are so close to being fixed now. They have been taken down until the fixes are complete.
Things not resetting properly
- I've deployed some fixes and will be watching at midnight to see how things go!
- The fixes I made are for the following dailies: Vending, The Rift, Ujin's shop, Stargazer, Carnival games, Item drive, Recycle beast, Potion lottery, Hustler, Shinwa's quests, the safe, bones, free food, zapper, ikumoradeekanox
Ticket creation
- The error with filing and replying to tickets has been fixed. You can use apostrophes.
Trades
- Both creating and accepting trades should work correctly.
- An error while searching trades by username has been fixed.
Profiles
- Both pet and user profiles will go through correctly now, apostrophes and all.
- Same goes for editing profile sections.
Other fixes
- Fixed a problem that was causing the CW queue to not be processed correctly. It should be running correctly now.
- Fixed error when a pet applies for a new job position
- Fixed forum groups not showing up on forum home page
- Fixed error that showed up when creating wardrobe drawers

Thank you so much. Yesterday only managed a couple sets of quests in 2 hours. Today so far, way more quests in 50 minutes.
