Am I the only one seeing a ton of ads everywhere? there are banners are the top and bottom like there have been for the longest time, but now I'm too if that there are the drop down ads you have to click the arrows to get rid of on every page and now ads between the news posts? Is everyone without the ad blockers seeing this? Kind of making it crazy to navigate the site esp on mobile.
Yea there are ads everywhere. The full page ones that You have to X out of are the sorts. But the ads have gradually been getting worse recently and this isnt the first topic on them
Nope, you're definitely not alone. I've seen many users talking about this recently. I have a GA so I don't see the ads, but I get that it's super annoying when you just want to pop online on your phone to get some trick-or-treating done.

posted a staff-approved adblocker so you can kind of fix the issue yourself if you want to play the site without dealing with the hot garbage that are giant ads.

Don't worry, staff still have yet to address it even in the other thread, but I honestly wouldn't expect them to at this rate.

I couldn't take it anymore and turned to blockers since there really isn't an alternative, unless one has the funds for a GA. Since I am opposed to pay2play schemes, this was my only choice. If the site ever goes back to what it was before the oversized ad wars, I'll drop the blockers and happily earn Subeta more money.
I don't venture much into the forums, but thanks for the reply though. Kind of think it should have been addressed in a news post, unless I missed it.
honestly I wouldn't have made a post but I can't do the blockers on my mobile device, so it was kind of getting out of hand. Same, I was putting up with the bottom and even the top simple banners, but it got too obtrusive and I couldn't even navigate without hurting something.
Yeah, the ads are nearly unbearable in mobile. :/ Sometimes I can hardly navigate the site. Little unobtrusive banner ads are fine, but I've had several pop-up type ones that take up the whole screen and don't go away unless you tap a teeny-tiny X in the very corner.
Content blockers are available on iOS if you use Safari (I think TunnelBear offers BlockBear for free), and the Brave browser that automatically blocks ads is available for both Android and iOS.
Just wanted to say, I saw the ads in-between news posts today for the first time, I never noticed it before. Freaking annoying. Wish staff would say something already about this.

yeah those are the ads that prompted me to make this post to begin with, the news ads :/ not sure why it hasn't been addressed yet but I don't really expect it to be honestly
I really hate the new type of ads that take up the WHOLE PAGE when you click on a link that you have to click the tiny X to go to the page you wanted, and if you miss the X you get whisked to the site which is super annoying. Especially on Mobil. Not a fan of this. I understand that Subeta needs to make money, but this is ridiculous.
Hmm I haven't turned on any new ad services or added any new code, I'll check our existing ads and make sure they haven't injected something we don't want.
We'd mostly been pushing just the top/bottom ads and that's what we wanted.

I can't pinpoint what ads specifically double up or go full screen, but 100% something has probably injected. It's bad. I don't mean it in a mean way, but hoo boy when an ad takes up the whole screen its alarming.
I can't get an ad to show up even with all extensions and CSS turned off o_O

I've had a GA for three months - before this the ads were at the top and bottom, but the height of them was such that when collecting my pets "pay" each day I could still see who had a bonus stat without scrolling the page. Today was the first day since my GA expired i've been on and I had to scroll the page to see that because the ads were so large.
Do you have a rare item that just won't sell? Are you going through the high levels of Item Hunt? Or maybe you just HATE that blue bunny? Then you should join IHH helpers and IHH bargain in the forum groups!
I also don't like that these ads also have information on where I live and such.

yeah i noticed that even with my location turned off the adverts were pining precisely the town that I live in which is kindof? super creepy.
