I'm going to keep this incredibly short, as I know some people will just take this as a laugh. Do with this what you will.

I'm disappointed at the lack of pride items. I read so many anti-LGBT+ statuses this month, it was disappointing. I won't even go into offsite things.

Re-releasing 2 rainbow items, and saying to celebrate pride all year felt like a major cop out, especially on the last day of pride month.

I'd go ahead and assume that, like me, Subeta is a place I can unapologetically be myself in a world that otherwise is against my nature, calling me abhorrent. I am out, and proud, but my countries pride is plagued with things I'd rather not mention, and a lot of people try to convert or repent us, to the point that our prides need police protection.

The lack of a pride celebration on a site that has a reputation for being, if nothing else, friendly towards LGBTQ users was very jarring, I gotta say. I expected much better from this site, too.

I 100% agree, re-releasing some old items on the last day feels like a cop-out. Especially when people were making such good suggestions on other Pride related items that could be released other than the sashes that are sitting in the one quest shop. I realize there was a lot going on with everyone including some personal stuff on the part of the staff, but still it's annoying :/

I don't identify as LGBT+ and I'm a bit disappointed. I can't justify myself using them, but I know plenty of people would have loved playing with new things.

Not to mention, this year in particular was a pretty big deal, being the 50th anniversary and all. Subeta being quiet on that front is just weird.

please don't take this as an attack. I understand that personal issues crop up, but you're not the only artist on subeta, so it feels really bad when then whole site (other that CW makers) pretty much ignores a huge and very important milestone in LGBT+ community.

Again, I'm not trying to be selfish, and I'm looking forward to the items, but pride month lasted 30 days. That's... quite a big miss. I don't want you to feel like I am shirking the items, but thats a huge ball to drop.

I do hope that life starts treating you better, though.

I don't know how many artists Subeta has on tap, or how many are sequestered into specific projects, but I can forgive this one. They have otherwise been releasing new items (two sets since I joined five days ago! Do you know how rare that is on a petsite, especially one this old and quiet?) so it's not as though staff completely vanished for the month.

New pride items would have been nice, and I'm aware that I say this as a new user to whom all items are currently new, but the existing selection is at least pretty thorough.

No shade on OP - I absolutely understand how it feels to be disappointed by an event on a petsite, especially one that's usually a big event, I just sympathise with Rah and the rest of the art staff to an equal degree.

Nobody in this thread ever claimed that the staff "vanished" for the month... Quite the opposite, in fact. The whole point was that the staff were clearly working on things all month! We got plenty of new items, including an entire event. So there were obviously artists and coders on site doing things and making content.

But none of it was pride related.

If the staff had literally been absent and not adding content, that'd be an entirely separate issue. The issue is that they were here, and were present and still never made anything for pride.

I was underwhelmed too. I was hoping for at least some new items, like backgrounds, I don't even care how they're obtained. But I guess it doesn't have to specifically be June. It just would have been nice to have them out then. Even if they weren't wearables, but just items for pet treasures or stickers (Actually some pride stickers with the different flags is a good idea). It also would have been nice to have them earlier in the month instead of right near the end (The Pride Sashes were released near the end too if I remember right).

I think June focused more on revamps. Not that that's a bad thing cause there are looooads of items that need revamps and I'm surprised at how many we've had this year. In fact, I'm hoping for some of the Beach Shack items to be revamped for this month's pool theme. I'm not trying to blame the staff or anything, they were probably focusing on all of those Neugarten items because there are loads of those. At least some mention of our LGBT+ NPCs (And a reminder of which ones are and who they are too) would have been nice if there wasn't much time for items.

Backgrounds or flags would be really neat :o

Yeah, that's the thing. As much as Rah was willing to take the blame for everything, I feel like somebody could have done something, like some LGBT+ NPC interactions for a day if items weren't happening.

Rah might have dropped the ball where items are concerned, but that isn't the only way to celebrate. I'm just surprised that nobody else thought of doing something until the last day.

Maybe next June could have the collection focus on Pride stuff? I'd have liked that, honestly.

My biggest complaint isn't the lack of items that came out of Pride (I confess some disappointment however but that's another matter), it was the anti-LGBTQIA+ statuses from members and comments of "Where's the straight stuff?"

Given that we no longer have a debate subsection to the forums and people are warned on lesser offenses, including images stretching archaic screen dimensions...

yeah, i said this in the original post, it was quite sickening to see so many anti statuses... theres having an opinion, and then theres being harmful, you know? (I honestly don't know why homophobics use this site as its pretty obvious that its LGBTQIA+ friendly but honestly I question a lot of what people do)

Anyway.

Except for items, it would be wonderful to change the Centropolis map and add the Pride March for a few days with many NPCs, rainbow flags and other groups' flags like bears, bi, trans etc, drag queens on the stage (is there a drag culture in Subeta??) big signs and so on.. it can be a little yearly event that we can participate during the pride month.

Seeing a lot of good suggestions here, which I think would be more fitting on the suggestions board itself. This thread is moreso for direct feedback regarding the lack of pride items this past month. Best to keep it on topic.

Since it was my first pride on the site, I wasn't sure what to expect. I agree that it was underwhelming, and not just because of the lack of items. I really like the idea of the June collection next year being pride themed :)
