HERE WE GO AGAIN ?. Hello, my beautiful gold accounts! We're ready to start testing the newest version of the wardrobe, which is something we're really excited about. Over the last few years, we've been trying to slowly move features to our laravel API. I'm sure you've seen requests go to sapi.subeta.net, and that's where all of our avatar (and some forum) code lives now. We're ready to start moving all features to laravel, which lets us build with a much better base.
You can find the V4 wardrobe here and you can read the todo list for feature parity with the current wardrobe here.
Why?
You can read the why here.

I CAN READ IT NOW. HOLY CRAP. The fuzzy item images are GONE.

It is! The contrast is perfect for me. I'm already in love with it. The other one gave me a little trouble because of my vision problems.

It is looking good so far. Can we please have a no eyes and no mouth option to go along with the no nose one?
So far, looking alright! But I have a question.
Is the search-by-colour option ever going to make a comeback? Because that was incredibly useful back when it was still a thing. :X With how massive the wardrobe is now, and with how many item images look nothing like the wearable overlays, I imagine a lot of users would love it if this could make a comeback.
I've glazed over everything, but I haven't spotted that being mentioned.
Yeah, it's one of my goals to get that back. Unfortunately actually determining the colors is a little bit harder, and ended up with a pretty imperfect system before.
What I'd like is for us to make a palette of 10-20 colors and be able to assign items to those colors, but that means some amount of manual work that we haven't been able to make time for.
💖 ✨ 🤗
👍 Hey, thanks for answering! Here's hoping you can figure out a way to implement that.
HMM. Going by past experiences with the minion sorting, I have no doubt that the userbase would gladly help with filtering the colours? Especially if we were given a 10-20 colour palette to pick from for one particular item. That would help reduce the number of errors?
Also. The little bouncy icon? Reminds me of this. It's adorable and I want to pet it.
lovely! thank you for sharing the work with us! typing in a few comments / suggestions super quick before i forget things so sorry if i am a bit all over the place -- that's what i noticed and can think of right off the bat:
hopefully making it work on mobile is top priority ( i know it's in the to-do list tho! yay!) since a lot of us cannot sit at PC a lot to play ;A;
omg where is the "only show items you own" because we can't live without it gasp
also missing the "clear all" which is a feature we super mucho need
missing the "search shops" button underneath when you try items on, also mega important
it would be interesting to have different layers for face now, as the site grew, there are a loooot of items and it's getting kinda messy idk maybe 3 sections at minimum - eyes / face / mouth?
i hope we get to see all wigs in hair salon again like we used to, not being able to try the hair before you buy is sad!
speaking of which: i love how when we re-wear a saved outfit, the hair we colored gets back, however we cannot access it or make changes to it anymore, so it would be a majoooor plus if that gets "cached" somehow somewhere? even when you are making an outfit, i mean while you are making it, just changing from let's say, salon to items tab, coming back, your chosen colors are already gone, that drives me bonkers n_n hahahaha
additionally, if one day (and that could be premium, i don't mind paying for this) if we could layer salon hair it would be the ultimate feature!!!!
like someone else already mentioned, being able to just toggle on/off eyes-mouth-nose would also be ultimate, of course we can layer it beneath but idk sometimes to test things etc it would be just even better!
another +1 support on the return of palettes
I really love it! The only problem I have is the requirement of having to scroll to see the preview, and with that makes the top of your HA total view impossible to see. But I am REALLY loving the work! I can't wait to see what you do with it!

what kind of feedback do you want, if any, at this point? Its obviously incomplete and missing some things that make it difficult to experiment - like being unable to remove a skin once we apply it and no hair previews.
Huge concern: the fact that there are no drawers so far and they aren't mentioned in the todo list either :(. Nor is any other system or hint of something in the works to replace them. I have more than 20K items in the wardrobe and I need something to manage that. A color picker would help, but its not enough either.

I just want to say that I love the bigger item images!!! so many beautiful details to see~
also!!!!
whats this omg
If you click on the skin again, it removes it :)
Clicking on the hair tab gives you the list, if you click on the hair name you can change the color and preview it on the avatar.
Drawers are on the roadmap, I'd like to change how they work (to tags) but drawers will be added soon!
💖 ✨ 🤗
That's a relief, about the drawers! I'm certainly not wedded to how they currently work - but they are better than nothing. A tagging system sounds good.
Ah...so used to NOT clicking the skin again in the current wardrobe. LOL should have experimented more! Now that I know that's the way it works, I do prefer that, it took me a long time to get used to not doing it that way in the current wardrobe.

Yeah that generally makes more sense, I'm not sure why I didn't build it that way to begin with :(

I don't understand. All I did was click the link and I already love it.

is it always going to be that small? I can hardly see it

Ohhh my god this UI looks so good and clean and simple... I'm absolutely in love with the wardrobe so far and I'm very excited to see the site's move to laravel!
All the proposed "how to use it and what it is text we haven't put it here yet but we're so gonna"? Do not put it there, please. I actually hate to say this because I'm very much NOT a jump-right-in-and-intuit-correctly sorta person, but I have a better suggestion instead.
I would love an imperfect color matcher.
While I understand we have a sizable contingent of HA aficionados who totally do the CW thing and are ultimate color matchy why isn't this exact in hue/transparency eeeeek, this was never my thing. Some of the coolest things I did when it was imperfect was playing with variations of shades to make certain dimensions or body parts pop/recede from the HA viewing plane.
.
I am in loooovveee with this! It’s wonderful! The instant load is fabulous & it’s nice to be able to drag layers without it refreshing my page. (Mobile user, guilty) I want to see it on PC, as I’m usually on via a mobile device... even then, it’s much better than the existing one.
I’ll log in on the desktop one I’m home!
