I visit Subeta pretty regularly, but some days I just plumb forget to stop by the bathhouse. And I tell you, nothing makes me feel unwelcome quite the way this does: "This is your first day visiting the bathhouse!"

Games like Guild Wars 2 and Secret World Legends and many others have a daily collection reward, but theirs don't reset your progress if you fail to stop by for one day. They pause, instead; you stay at the same point in the collection cycle until you come back and move it along. This keeps those games fresh and welcoming. Subeta's system is more punitive, unfriendly, and definitely not welcoming.

The feeling someone gets when they come here should be happiness and eagerness, not regret.

Bathhouse rewards are meant to get more 'rewarding' as you get further in though. The point of the bathhouse is to reward people for logging on for consecutive days.

Keeping your progress if you miss a day would kind of... miss that whole point.

Besides, there are other daily collection rewards without reward cycles. The mutated fruit tree, the hustler, ruffie raffle, etc.

I get your frustration though. I've forgotten twice just before reaching another achievement tier, and one time my place's internet went out for a week and I just couldn't get on subeta. But, eh. There are always other rewards. The bathhouse isn't the be-all and end-all of subeta xD.

I think the days counter shouldn't reset but instead the prizes should reset.. the only purpose of the days is for the achievements and titles anyway, there's no groundbreaking prize that may change the economy or whatever..

If you miss a day, you miss the chance to get a referral point and 50 csc and you go back to the first day prizes pool.

I have to agree that the way the Bathhouse is now shouldn't be changed. It would be nice if it kept your progress when you miss days, sure, but as was mentioned, there are a lot of rewards systems and things that hand out prizes that don't punish you for missing days that it doesn't feel unfair at all if we have one that's (very slightly) more demanding.

Missing neat stuff because you forgot or just can't be on is a bummer, but I don't think it needs adjusting so nobody ever loses anything. Everything you get from visiting can be obtained in other ways as well, so it's not like a one-time thing that's lost forever if you break your streak.

If it helps, putting a shortcut to it on your bookmarks tab is how I remember to do it every day. I'm pretty forgetful myself, and I don't think I'd remember it every day either if I didn't see it on my row of tabs when I sign on. It won't help on days when you just can't be online, but if the issue is being on and not remembering, it might do the trick.

Nah, I think it should stay as it is. Theres a forum group for reminders which pops at midnight nearly every night. I think its one of those things that is fine the way it is.

That's not the site's fault that YOU forgot to do your daily. It's one thing if the site is acting up all day and you can only get a few minutes to get anything done; but if you forgot to do it, that's on you. Suck it up, buttercup. The daily is the way it is for a reason, and is not changing.

As someone who has lost a streak that was over a year long thanks to 2 weeks of ISP issues with no phone or internet access, I think it's fair.

The prizes don't stack up in quantity the longer you keep a streak going. You don't get 500CSC from the bathhouse for keeping a streak going for a year. It's the same set, variety & quantity of rewards.

Outside of the achievement, the streak number is just for showing off.

If that message makes you feel so unwelcome, maybe you should set the bathhouse as your homepage?

If we're going to compare it to other things on site I'd say its more like Item hunt. If you lose aka miss a day, you have to start over at the beginning.

there is 1 thing on the site that you have to check daily. 1 thing. Out of all the things to do. There are so many ways to make it possible to do, bookmarks on site, Homepage on browser, bookmark on browser, forum groups, a reminder in your phone.

Yes, things happen and people are without internet, but I hardly think the majority wouldn't have SOME access to internet in some form, like a phone. I mean I lose my streak because of internet problems and after that set my phone homepage as the bathhouse.

No. The point of prizes in BH is for visitig it "in row", not "whenever I remember".

Of course a game which gives everything for free for everyone would be more "welcoming", but also super boring.

I like it as it is. I lost a 500+ streak and I can't even blame a hurricane for it, it was my own damned fault.

The only way I can see it changing is if the prizes become junk. Free CSC should never be a gimme, it should be something that's at least a minimal challenge and an overall benefit to the site. Logging in daily is a benefit to the site, logging in every once in a while as you feel like it is not.

There are many "daily" rewards for people who play casually.

If you do login daily, but simply miss the bathhouse, well there are many options for the that - the best of which, in my opinion, is making the bathhouse your browser home page, that way as long as you actually go online, you go to the bathhouse.

Same here. Then I brushed it off and resolved to be more mindful. This isn't the chron (I think) messing up, it's human error and not the end of the world.

I would recommend to those prone to forgetting that you join the bhp ping group owned by . It pings around midnight every day to remind about visiting the bathhouse. It's been the only way I've remembered to go every day as I start my subeta days in my events doing the bathhouse, ruffie raffle, mystery box check etc before clearing the selling pings, personal pings and moving on to my other dailies.

The only opinion I have about the bathhouse is how.. it's not automatic nor is there a way for the site to remind you, other than the ping group. Sure you can join the group and set the page as your homepage but it kinda feels more hidden than it should? If you don't save the link or click on the group reminder's link you really have to manually navigate to the world map, shengui, the bathhouse, the pool itself, and hit dip? A person can log in and actively play every day but they have to manually collect their reward for it? How is a newbie supposed to find out about their daily reward unless someone else tells them "to join the group"?

idk other sites and games I play automatically credit your reward to you the moment you enter. For example, I also play furvilla extremely casually (as in, once every several months, if not once a year), and they also have a daily rewards system. The difference is that you get the reward as soon as you visit the site. I also don't know why the site itself is so against an official alert option for the bathhouse. You have to be actively online and playing to receive the alert (especially now that live events have been removed) - which is what the bathhouse encourages in the first place so... why not? Idunno just a thought.

The, my friend has been reset twice now with proof that they visited on the day they supposedly missed and staff is basically still like "nope, you missed too bad." And they're not the only one that's happened to. Happened to me also, so...I'm not opposed to a change but also at this point half of us who've had resets on days we know we visited are over the entire thing -shrug-

I understand why the Bathhouse resets, but I also think it would be all right if they introduced a way to jumpstart a streak or regain your progress the way they do with Item Hunter. It could be a good sP sink, and then people who lose internet or have unexpected real life stuff to deal with don't feel quite as abandoned. It could reset the prizes to day 1 regardless of what the counter says (assuming that's possible) if people are worried about that.

As much as I appreciate the mechanic in other games, I don't think we should have it for the bathhouse, and I say this as someone who's constantly fucking up my streak. I could maybe get behind it if the prizes still reset, but then there's still the achievement.

I could get behind adding an alert or something though, because you'd need to already be on the site to see that, and also have gone the day before, and also remembered to set one. I know staff doesn't like that idea, and I probably wouldn't use it since I do have the link bookmarked and missing a day is my own fault, but most games I've played with a daily item/prize to collect do let you know one way or another that it's ready. At least with an alert, you'd still be in charge of having to set the notification yourself

It's frustrating, especially when you're sitting at 146/150 for another tier (why, what a strangely specific example), but there's nothing about it makes me feel belittled or unwelcome in anyway.
