I would love to see a bathhouse widget for the sidebar... it might not help everyone but it could come in handy. It could tell you how long you've gone and a little note saying "visited" or "have not visited today". I know I would get a big use out of it considering my dumb self has ruined my running streaks 6 times now.

like some other people in the thread have said, I've found a helpful way to remember the bathhouse is to have it as a thumbnail on the chrome new tab page (or you could set it to your homepage x'D) (or smth obvious on your bookmarks bar).

i went on complete hiatus a couple months ago and came back on Sunday, but i managed to still... keep my bathhouse streak going just cuz it was there every time i opened a new tab lmao. i'm on 250 now!! /o/

I've got a 625 day streak going after messing up a 100+ one and 131 of those currency right now. Wouldn't bother me in the least if there was a way for people to get their counter back. I've taken to trying to hit up the baths at rollover, during lunch, and when I'm done with work. So far, it's worked.

Anyway, I know that there was a suggestion before: Marlboro's sP sink for the Bathhouse idea, and I still think that it'd be nice if we could get streaks back. Because, sure, those numbers don't matter after a point, but some of us are idiots that like increasing the counter. Might as well take advantage of us and remove some money/items/etc from the game. ;)

My suggestion from before was getting a notification on the page, the day after you miss one day, and to be able to trade in items that come from the bathhouse and/or sP to get your streak back. It'd give those bathhouse items more of a market and a reason for people to buy and sell them. There was also an idea of having to trade in at least one bathhouse token/currency too, since it doesn't take too many days to get one.

That being an example, of course~ It'd be better if it scaled the amount of sP and items it needs to get back the number, depending on how high it was (but capped at some point, like after whatever the top number of days the achievement is.).

As someone who's at 780 days... no. I never even joined the ping group (but I do keep the bathhouse open in a pinned tab). It's not that hard to keep track of, and it won't be that much of a loss if you do miss a day. I'll be pleased when the dailies page is up so newbies can find out about it and users can access it more easily, but beyond that I see no reason for change.

Given that the Bathhouse is THE most generous area of the site, no, I don't support this original idea. If you miss a day, the rewards reset, and as should the counter. I don't find it unwelcoming, as part of the challenge of the Bathhouse is to remember to visit.

That being said, I DO support there being a way to get your counter back, similar to what Ryuu posted. Pay an OBSCENE amount of currency, and perhaps lose a small percentage of your days, but overall get your counter back. (Rewards would still reset.)

Full disclosure- I am sitting at 593 days right now, and I typically don't find it hard to remember to check. My behavior is to quick pop on in the mornings before I get up and hit my first bookmark for the Bathhouse. When I accidentally missed a day around 200 (while I was on the site that day, I just somehow forgot to visit), I joined the ping group for a little bit more peace of mind.

I've been set back because I couldn't get the site to load one day. Another time because I had been gone all day and had an hour before midnight and then the site crapped out as soon as I tried to visit. Then because I plain forgot.

Yeah, once was truly my fault so at this point I no longer care about keeping my streak seeing as how the site can screw me over.

Though I would love the counter to include what day of the prize cycle we're on. Sure, I could do the math but I hate to math when I'm half awake.

What also helped for me was to join the ping group and I keep the event showing till I get a chance to visit. Once done I delete the ping.

Yea I know as well how others are feeling but I myself lost all my days at the bathhouse as of Friday the 14th through yesterday the 18th due to Hurricane Florence because of Internet and Power problems, but It really doesn't matter to me, I know I can start over and I know there will be more days of my streak resetting because we are still having power and internet problems due to the ongoing flooding we are still experiencing in my part of the state from overflowing rivers and streams and for days and possible weeks to come.

i hate that it resets entirely even if you miss just one day. it doesn't make me more likely to log in daily at all, it just makes me annoyed.

Suggestion: The site keeps track of each player's longest streak (for an achievement). Why not put a 'Resume Longest Streak Totem' in the Loyalty Box? That gives folks a way to reset a streak if it's really important to them, that can't be seriously abused ('cause you only get one a year), and comes with a significant opportunity cost.

If there wasn't a really really reliable ping group that reminds you about the bathhouse I would agree... but there is, so I think it should stay the way it is. As others have said: it's not like you miss some mind-blowing prize by missing a day.

The widget would be fun, and not affect the game at all. The "Resume Longest Streak" loyalty totem, because it is only once per year, and very valuable, while somewhat contravening the intent of the achievement, doesn't negate it completely.

Osterizer thank you for the message on here, yes we are doing ok with the Hurricane's aftermath and we are holding up quite well so far, especially with cleanup. We are still having some power and Internet problems but hopefully they will soon be fixed. I get my Internet from my phone company and they are saying that maybe the phones and Internet will be fully functional by Sept 24th at 11AM, but can't promise that and the power will probably take until next week to be fully fixed due to the still on-going flooding of some of the rivers and streams.

I'm pretty sure Amber has said no to the site reminding us. They may as well just direct deposit prizes into our account.

I use the ping, which essentially is a widget reminder. I still forget sometimes though or think I've gone haha.
