So I am about to complete my first year in Subeta (Currently dashboard says I have been a member for 11 months and 4 weeks).

To celebrate I am throwing a party! Random prizes will be awarded to those who post here from this list. I'll send two prizes when each page finishes and the rest when the party ends (which I think will be Sunday night).

Congrats! I didn't realize you were also so new to Subeta. You fit right in ;) My first anniversary was back in January. It was cool to have a year where every event and holiday was new & exciting. I joined at a great time, too -- during Lumi, before a Quest-A-Thon, after some sever problems were solved. My favorite events were Survival and Moro, and they still are! ❤️ I also loved the summer food truck event, though I suspect things were be different this summer with Alegarten moving and whatnot? And thanks for including the Celebratory Cup-Cake in your post -- I hadn't seen the item, and it'll be good for Caffe Mocha's cafe-themed TC. ❤️

Wow, congratulations. My 13 year old daughter talked me into joining almost 13 years ago. I actually joined partly to oversea this strange internet site that I knew nothing about. It was during the December gift every month time. That has not changed that much. Melody still hands out daily, always including some wearables. Back then, the monthly donation presents were called collections and when you bought it, you had no idea which item you would get from that month. So if you wanted a clothing item, you might have to buy several of them. Also, the battling did not have tiers. No, absolutely no custom wearables created by users. Today, my daughter, who was Sylph (someone else has her name), is inactive, but I am still here.

thank you! My first year started just before Masquerade (everyone was saying - masquerade is about to start! just like they are now) and so my first survival was the one we just finished. It was really fun!

My favorite subeta holidays would be hard to choose. The summer food truck event was great, and I liked the pirate event too. Luminaire had so much going on and I really liked Melody! New years was good! So were your two favorites, survival and morostide. And vesnali, and Esther and Emma's wedding, wow! And the whole fireside thing with the Red Rreign touched me. But probably because it was the first one I saw, I liked masquerade best, with the Libertine Lounge 💙

Hi Truff! I'm so glad you found subeta!! :-) 👏 My first year on subeta there weren't any CW's and my friends and I got totally excited when any slightly unusual wardrobe item came out as it was a lot more limited back then. And all I cared about were wardrobe items. Forget books and foods for my pet! :-P

Also, there weren't any stickers or achievements yet either. And I believe most of the holidays came out about my second year on subeta.

I had the idea for a party inspired by Ulalena's parties she gives for various holidays. I'm trying to copy her idea because I like it so much. (I asked her & she said it was ok)

I love your Barbaloot HA! The Lorax is my favorite which is why I have my username Truffula... but I like many of his stories & I hope to see some "Cat in the Hat" or "Star bellied Sneeches" or "Fox in Socks" HA perhaps from someone too :D

ohhh yea the cat in the hat! It's very popular and yet I did not think of that... XD Yeaaa I tried looking for trees that looked like the truffula trees but can't find them.. xD so I did it without a background aha.. oh well! Glad you liked it!!

That is amazing how you joined with your daughter and stayed till she's twice the age when she started! I think that your story of random items explains why some of the older collection items are the least expensive (people got them while trying for something else it seems).

I really love Melody and her daily items. I was excited to get a very nice reward from her for visiting her every day! I also combed through her older items that were available for a few sP and bought many of them to add to my treasures :D

CONGRATULATIONS! My first year was so long ago... I joined in mid-January 2010. I remember that everything I wanted to name my first pet was taken so I made something weird up. Hence, Dartichu. I remember becoming a Butterfly Bruise zombie in February and falling in love with it ❤️. I never cured. I remember Masquarade in March being the first holiday I was really social in after joining. That's when I got hooked. The site has changed so much since then, and so have I! Happy to still be around and happy you're here too :D

hey! welcome to the party. I tried to get my intuos doodle pad out and draw your pet quirks, but I've forgot how to work it and got frustrated. (I haven't been able to do much drawing almost a year now... frustrating) Maybe I'll draw on paper instead.

if there's not any truffula-tree backgrounds maybe I can (when I can art again) make one. I just have to get a drawing I like to make it worth the money to make a custom :D

Congrats on your first year! I don't even remember mine, really (it wasn't even that long ago lol). It's crazy that you mentioned books, because I have just started going over the Harry Potter series again, except I'm reading the Spanish versions alongside the English. I'm also half-way through the Lord of the Rings (English only- my Spanish is way too terrible to attempt it lol)! Unfortunately, I spend less time reading those and more time reading textbooks, but I try to keep up.

According to my dashboard I've been playing for 11 months, 1 week, 5 days, so not quite a year yet, but it's been so much fun so far! I started with one pet and I thought (foolishly) that one would be enough but now I'm up to 5 and I love each and every one of them! This site seems really thoughtful and respectful and peaceful, which is a feeling I haven't found elsewhere online, and I've been all over! I hope to enjoy it for many years to come :)

My first year I had just been transitioning from neoppets. I wasn't sure of this site at the timr but so glad zi found it 13 years ago

Hahaha, sorry to cause frustration! I'd love a paper drawing though - I need all kinds of art styles for Quirks! He is a scribble lain after all :P If I get 2-3 more art for him though I'm going to really need to finish his story! Both him and Yew are frustrating me at the moment. I have like 3-4 drafts for each of them, completed, with slightly different takes on their characters. None of them feel right to me though so I keep starting over. With Quirks he'd be just about done then! I rely on others for art though, I have no skill in that field. 😭 What kind of art is your favorite to make?

I read the Harry Potter series but I was already an adult and it wasn't my favorite... and I never finished the second-to-last one or read the last one at all. I went to the movies though! But for me, I felt like it peaked at Order of the Phoenix. And I liked the movies a lot...

Lord of the Rings, on the other hand, I read SO long ago, I was in 4th grade and it was about 40 years ago. I loved it SO much. I re-read it several times too, and the Silmarillion... but The Hobbit was my favorite. And I didn't like the movies of those at all!
