I had been inactive for five years before resuming. I think about a year ago I had begun participating in things. My Bathhouse count is nearly at one year, suggesting my activities were founded then.

What has change is quite a bit, from two pets to nineteen, more achievements than anywhere else combined, and to some extent a coming out from my self imposed isolation.

And its only been about one year.

I stated with Neopets I think during the first year or so they started. Spent quite a few years there during which I tried others and quit most of them., I have some recall of Power Pets and and a site which had something to do with colored eggs and also spent time at one where we lived in varous cities like Dolphin & Pony and were lead by mayors. There was a really good stock market there which did earn me a good income. I also spent a few days at a pitiful place named Pea World..

Are you an Undertale fan? Because I looked at your pets and a particular name stands out.... And I really like your Donadak's name! It's similar to my naming theme for pets (when I create them).

I may have had about the same number of pets that you have now at one year as well.

Doesn't ring a bell, which pet though? I adopted her and used an elixir, not knowing what a Twilight Donadak was. The palette matched and her name stuck.

Oh, yes Neopets. I started at year two, and went through until 2010. I recall starting Subeta around then.

I just recently had my own one-year Subeta anniversary. I joined right before Survival last year.

I got rid of a lot of my old avatars because I didn't like them much after I got better at doing them, but here is the oldest avatar I have, from sometime in March.

Hopefully you can still see it's the character (Valiska of Courinna) that I usually am dressed as unless I feel like taking a break from her or am doing a contest. Compared to today's avatar, which I'm including for people who read this page after I've changed again, you can see that she sure has changed quite a bit as I found better items to represent her kitty features. (She's technically not an HA because she's not human. I call her my CA, for catte avatar.)

I saved and saved to buy that thylacine because (as probably everyone knows by now) they're my favourite animal, and that was the first avatar I made after I got the thylacine.

I plan to do some CW thylacines eventually, some darker ones, and some redder ones, and most importantly some happier ones to be companions to my many characters.

Lissandra is Valiska's sister, she's changed a lot too over the past year.

Yeah, Neopets just started to get too kiddish for me, and to do nearly anything over there now requires NC. I'm broke, so it was starting to get less and less fun. Then they sold it over to Nickelodeon and sealed the deal. I have no idea where I heard of this site (maybe a Neopets forum post), but I found it and immediately fell in love.

What I just recalled was that when I resumed, I had loyalty boxes from the previous years. Not knowing what they were, I deleted them. This was back when I was still angry with myself.

I quit for the last time from Neopets over a ticket to attempt recovering a frozen account. On the last check, it had been purged. That was the last straw.

Viorans have washed their pseudopodia of Neopia.

I have been here a little over 10 yrs. I was put off by all the changes on neopets and was lucky to find Subeta. I have met so many nice people that being on here is a regular part of my day. I also love books. I'm more of a vampire style person. But i just love to read period. I hope you continue to be part of Subeta as you will find many great people here.

No worries, the HA is not required! It was just a fun thing I thought some might like to do. Don't feel obligated to do it! I have read a lot of books for all ages, I think... I read all the time. But it wasn't really the darkness of HP that made me not enjoy the book 6 and never read book 7 .. it was more that I lost interest, I'm not sure why exactly, but it had to do with the epiphany I had during book 5 about what the author was doing (I was very impressed) but it seemed almost a letdown to have the finishing off take two more really, really long books after that.

thank you! User icons, sure, there are plushies of those, they must have been in use way back. What a long time ago that sounds like it was. It's great to still be around playing the same game after so long.

It's very highly recommended. I expect it will be good, I have read some other books by the author, but most people seem to think this is her best work.

My highest one was 99 and my current one is 10 😊 SereneAmethyst is a beautiful name, and the Twilight Donadak does look like she has amethysts on her back.

vampire style works great! I love to read, too. I read a lot, probably about 100 novels a year plus a lot of websites and a few nonfiction books and short story collections. I have already met many great people in subeta and hope to keep meeting them, the site is overflowing with great people.

The style hasn't changed much because it's the same characters there, but I'm glad you think that it's much more refined! There are a number of different characters that I do now and each of them is an individual. Here is an FA (you can probably guess what the F stands for here, and you could also call her an EA), Dracaena.

I do think I have an overarching personal style that shows up in them all though. I'd like to think it's a good style, but it's definitely not one of the typical Subeta styles.

Truffula trees come in all colors... (all pretty colors, anyway)

Blue is definitely one of the rarer colors, though.

Yeah, I don't remember much about HP, because I read them all when I was about 10. Not sure that was the best idea, but I was an advanced reader. HP was good, but I like other series now. In fact, have you heard of the Septimus Heap series? My sister introduced me to them, and although they're for a bit younger audience, they're interesting. It's a bit of a mix between Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, with its own twist.
