Just would like to leave some feedback on Subeta being unable to pin down timelines. Please do not say "soon" anymore. How about, "prizes will be distributed on Friday at the latest" or something instead? I hear "soon" and I think later that night, or the next day.

Over the years, I think that Subeta's "soon" has become a big joke, meaning three days from now, a week from now, or never.

And I know, "They're working on it/hold your horses/it's only been two days," but it was not a surprise to Subeta's staff when the event ended. Surely things are already calculated, there was a tracker on our pets' damage to Hydra after all. Prizes should have been ready to roll out the next day. Is it a programming issue again? Servers lose someone's data? Someone crucial on vacation? Other jobs got in the way? Which excuse this time?

And while I'm at it, the lag. It's been nearly 13 YEARS. If Subeta can't handle more than 1,000 users online at one time, that's just sad.

Are you talking about the Quest-A-Thon or the Gelatin War? Or both?

Because the Gelatin War isn't officially over yet, as of the time of this post...

Oops. I was talking about both, and assumed they ended at the same time. Well, you know what they say about assume . . .

Things did get a bit muddled with the overlap, and the extension of the questing event.

The Gelatin War ends in less than an hour though, so I am hoping we'll get the prizes for both by the end of this week at least.

ngl I was under the impression that the quest-a-thon prizes being out "soon" meant the next day, but lol I guess not. I am all for more tangible timelines/deadlines please. It would just be a lot nicer to have.

And honestly I don't even care about lag anymore lmao I'm so used to it at this point.

Subeta "soon" is never "the next day". It's anywhere from 2 hours to a full week, or even a month if you're unlucky! That's the wisdom of being here for way too long-- you sort of just get used to this sort of thing. The lag, the delays, the everything.

But hey, hopefully soon will be soon.

The prizes for the previous Quest-A-Thons always came pretty quickly...I don't know why this time they're slow on giving out prizes...

Yeah, I don't remember the prizes from the last Quest-a-Thons taking more a day. Granted, we have a bit more in prizes this time but I don't see them taking up another day. Like I know nobody means 'soon' when they say soon but they should already all of this together.

Speaking of SOON, we're still waiting on Emma and Esther's wedding guestbook entries. It's been 84 years three months.

I keep forgetting about those. Soon™ works for some things, but the guestbook really should have been released within a week of the wedding. At this point it's pretty much irrelevant, and I kind of hope they've written it off and moved on to other projects.

The message about the wedding guestbook is completely legitimate, because it has been 3 months. If not more. That's fine to complain about. Also plenty of things we were told were coming "soon" are still not there. Including that feature where we had the design-a-businessman contest for. That's still not a thing.

But, getting upset because we don't have rewards for the Gelatin War who ended last night? Or the Quest-a-Thon that finished Tuesday, at midnight?

That's a little much. There is no major hurry, and no sign that anything has been forgotten. I want that pet slot as much as anyone else, but, waiting a couple days isn't horrible.

And about the businessperson HA thing... I thought they decided not to do anything with that after all? Like Keith just chose a winner and there was a prize and that was it? Or am I thinking of something else?

I could be mis-remembering, but I thought it was going to have something to do with the Blue Building being updated, but then I think the staff member who was working on that left so now Blue Building updates have been put on hold (except for when they converted the shop to the new shop layout).

Ohh okay! Yeah, now that you say that, it does sound kinda familiar. Ooh Blue Building updates, exciting! I hope that happens eventually :)
