do you have piercings? which piercings do you have? are you thinking of getting a certain piercing? post here!! weeee
mine:
-lobes (parents got my ears pierced when i was a baby) -helix -navel
i'm thinking of getting more cartilage piercings. also i went shopping for earring jewelry today!! :)
I've got my lobes pierced twice in each ear, my left eyebrow, and my tongue, dead in the middle.
I'd really like to get an industrial done, or maybe just have an extra hole in the cartilage. TBH, I'm scared shitless of the idea of nipple piercings. I lean and drag my chest all over the place and I'm nooooot about letting those things catch!
I have:
-lobes, stretched to 20mm currently but I want to go up a few sizes -nostril -septum -spider bites -tongue
In the past I had my eyebrow, smiley, and nipples done. Every so often I come really close to getting my nipples done again, but honestly I had the worst experience with them. I had mine for 2+ years before one of them decided to reject, and the other one just never healed.
I only have six earlobe piercings that I got before my phobia of needles got the best of me. Due to that I won't get any more piercings ever. I like snake bites though.
I only have my ears and left nostril pierced. And I probably wouldn't even have my nose pierced if it wasn't for getting it over a decade ago lol. I hate piercings now but I still like the small nose ring I have. /shrug
EDIT: I got both traguses? Tragus's? Anyway yeah I got both of those pierced now and a conch piercing last summer lol. Still not a fan of body piercings (on myself! other people it's fine, of course), but I love ear piercings. I want a couple more (2 forward helix) and then I think I'm done. Don't wanna make my ears look too cluttered.
omg I felt the same way before I got mine pierced! The idea came about when I was approaching my 18 birthday and I wanted to do something special for myself to celebrate! I waited 3 days after I turned 18 because the shop I planned on going to had announced that they would be doing a 2 for 1 piercing special on that day, so I got my nipple and helix done in one visit! My nipple piercing caught onto a sliding door once when I was stepping out onto my patio. NOT FUN. I love eyebrow piercings! I think my boyfriend could pull one off so well but he doesn't want one because "the face is sacred" haha. I see his point but I always tell him it would look great on him
, aw sorry to hear they didn't turn out! :( I really love mine and hope my body doesn't randomly decide to reject it any time soon D:
I wanted to get my nostril pierced for a while until my boyfriend was all like "no your face is sacred" lmao. I think I'm satisfied with piercings for now and now I'm looking to get a tattoo sometime soon
Yikes! I had a friend in college who managed to get hers infected because she didn't clean it well enough. We all poked hella fun at her because of how badly it swelled while she was taking antibiotics, but it still got me paranoid. D:
I have both ear lobes (one with two piercings), rook, conch, tragus and nose. I had my belly button, and a helix piercing in the past but I took them both out due to complications and me not wanting to deal with them, haha!
I don't think I'll get any more cartilage piercings as they heal kind of wonky on me sometimes, but I've been playing with the idea of getting a nipple piercing for a few years now, I think I just have to bite the bullet and do it one day. I'm just kind of scared of the pain (says the person with seven piercings and three tattoos...)
Three sets in my lobes, lowest set is at 6g right now, and left ear up in the cartilage. I'm gonna have to wear retainers to work, uhg. The 6g look like decent studs so I'm not saying a word about them being otherwise. XD;
I'd get my lip pierced if I could safely and without screaming bloody murder but that's just a want up there with some tattoos.
[edit]So a year and two months later, I'll just update this a bit - up to the goal size of the gauges. I've been at 0g for about two months now and everything you hear about that stretch from 2g to 0g being the worst is, unfortunately, very, very true. You go into gauging with the constant fear of knowing if you botch it at any given point, you'll get a blowout. Which can lead to either a torn piercing, an infection or reconstructive surgery or all three. Then to go from 2g to 0g, you practically have to force that as far as you possibly can. The "how to" sites and guides don't really tell you that can happen til you do it, because everyone's different of course.

Three in each lobe, all gauged. Cartilage in right ear. Labret. Tongue. I want an industrial in the worst way.
I want to get a nose piercing, just a tiny diamond look, but with my allergies (both seasonal and to nickel) I'm not sure I can. Also, I'd have to get permission from my boss to leave it in while it's healing up, because we're not supposed to have facial piercings here. eyeroll I'm not even technically supposed to be wearing the three I have in each lobe, but I do anyways and I have for the two years I've worked here with no complaints. I pretty much always wear a small silver loop in the first hole and two small silver balls in the others (the top one smaller than the middle).
3 in each lobe 2 in my right nostril 1 navel 1 VCH
I previously had an eyebrow ring and a microdermal implant. The eyebrow piercing migrated out. The implant migrated because my jewelry was too heavy, so I had it cut out. There is a permanent scar there now -- it took two people and a couple of hours to get it out -- but it's not awful.
I'd love a daith next. :)
It's been 2 years and I still absolutely adore my nipple piercing. I would recommend one just because it's so fun walking around with a little secret that nobody else knows about hehe. Best of luck to you if you decide to get one!
I always had to keep my septum piercing flipped up at my old job. Policies at work regarding piercings are such a bore and an outdated concept, I feel. :/ But I can see why they're still put in place at certain jobs (food service, for example).
VCH - that's impressive! What was your experience with healing? I'm far too chicken for that. I think the only genital piercing I'll consider is the Christina - they're hella cute
Not impressive at all, you're just piercing a membrane in a self-cleaning area ... it healed very quickly and without issue. By far my least painful, fastest-healing, and favorite piercing. :)
The whole notion of "body jewelry/dyed hair/tattoos = unclean and unprofessional" really needs to die. It's outdated and really biased.

Agreed! My last job was with one of the most well-known law firms in the state, and they had a very easygoing dress policy. My piercings were a non-issue, wild-colored hair was okay, dress code was blue jeans and t-shirts unless you had to appear in court. I was, for a time, the only staff member without a tattoo.
My current job is another law firm that takes a more old-school approach. Appearance is everything. It's business attire (skirts or slacks only, blouses, nice shoes), no crazy hair, and my piercings are tolerated only because I keep very conservative jewelry in them.
Guess which firm is more successful?
[li] lobe (2 each ear) [li] helix (3 left ear, 3 right ear) [li] tragus (1 right ear) [li] inner conch (1 each ear) [li] forward helix (2 left ear, 3 right ear) [li] rook (1 left ear) I don't like it, it just doesn't look good behind my forward helix piercings [li] tongue [li] bottom lip (snakebites and one in the center) - I'm wearing 3 labrets, so I don't have to take them out at work 😌 [li] belly button [li] microdermal implants (2 left, 2 right, collar bone) [li] industrial (left ear) [li] septum [li] eyebrow (2 left)
I also had an eyebrow piercing, it didn't look good on me, but I liked it lol ^-^ (it grew out pretty fast, but I want it back +_+)
VCH! I love genital and nipple piercings. Some people get easily freaked out but I'm pretty amazed by them. I've heard it heals good since it's in a self-cleaning area haha.
... I don't have piercings and I'm sad. I'm allergic to a lot of materials. I used to have my ear lobes piercing from childhood but they closed up when I lost my earrings. I went to pierce them back 4 years ago and I had a terrible skin reaction. My ears were swollen and it took an hour to remove the little stud from the inflammed skin. I went back to the parlor and got a serious "fuck you" which just made me angrier. Now, I don't trust anyone. Same for tattoos ... Allergic to everything;____;
