Ooh septums are generally easy to hide; you COULD wear a clear septum retainer and flip it up, but I definitely respect the fact that you don't want to go against your parents wishes.
Also I'm sorry to hear about what your mother said regarding navel piercings. Although she is your mother and you are living under her roof, I don't particularly think she's in a place to dictate what to do with your body, let alone anybody else's, regardless of their body type. By that logic, I guess my nipple piercing would be considered a waste of money, since nobody sees my body except for me and my boyfriend, but I have absolutely no regrets about it. Getting it made me feel happy and proud of my body, and in doing that, I don't think a single cent was wasted. I can certainly tell you that I love my body much more now that I had those piercings done. Funny how small pieces of metal can make such a difference in body image for some. I do hope you some day get the chance to get your septum and navel piercings done! You deserve to feel good about yourself in any way you can! :)
I have
Thinking about getting my tongue done and maybe some more piercings in my ears but not sure what's next ^^ my face is (until now) piercing-free xD
• Lobes stretched to 0g (both ears) • Tragus (left ear) • Industrial (left ear) • Conch (right ear) • Navel • Nipples (both)
I want to get my lobes pierced again, some helix piercings, a daith piercing.... probably more but I feel like I'm always healing my body between stretching, piercing, and getting tattoos.

I only have my lobes and nostril. I had to take out my helix because it never healed. I miss it, but I'm not sure if I want to get it re-done.
Currently have:
Previously had (throughout the years):

At the moment I have: -Three in each lobe -One helix -One forward helix -One tragus -One conch
For me, I love piercings but only plan on having my ears done. Not sure I will ever move to my face
Could you have a metal allergy? It took me entirely too long dealing with half-healed piercings, chronic infections, and piercings that took years and years to finally close up before I realized it was a metal allergy. I switched to titanium and have not had a single problem since. It's been life-changing.
Hmm. I have no idea. How do I test myself for a metal allergy? My nose studs are all surgical steel (aside from the two gold ones I have).
I've had: -Ears x5 -Lip x3 -Monroe -Eyebrow -Tongue -Nipples x5 (they never worked out :/) -Nostril -Septum In hindsight.. I really wish I didn't get so many. The only ones I haven't retired are my nostril, ears, and my tongue was split, so no piercing there now. Just left with little pockmark scars everywhere :(
Stainless steel, and even surgical-grade stainless steel, still react for me! You can have an allergy test done at a doctor's office, or just do what I did and try switching out to a high-quality titanium jewelry piece and see if you fare any better. Anatometal and Industrial Strength are good brands, and they're what piercers use. Don't go for a bargain-basement titanium jewelry item, because some of those discount brands use cheap fillers that will still aggravate your allergies.
Loving how many of us are pierced! As for me: ears are gauged at 6, and I have a septum. I might gushed up to a 4 or 2, but no larger than that. I considered a lip piercing in the center, but I play with my lips too much and decided against it. I do, however, want to get my ears pierced again, in the bend just above my lobes. They'd stay at 16, and probably have tiny foxes in them for a while =3
I've had: dimple piercing, double vertical labret, vertical labret, snakebites, R nostril, monroe piercing, tongue piercing
they've all since retired, but I still sport the holes proudly haha 😆

i JUST got my bridge pierced and it's so hard to get used to ;;;;
besides that , i've go t::: my tongue septum & my earlobes @ like 4g ??
i used to have :: my earlobes @ half an inch naval nostril & my earlobes twice one each side
and i would LOOOOOVE a medusa (i like having my face symmetrical w piercings and i like that it's place right in the middle) but my gf is not about lip/mouth piercings, for some reason they make her cringe :/

I have the following types of piercings:
I want to add to the list eventually lol.
I've only got lobes, gauged to about 1cm now, which I'm still working on. Also thinking about getting septum or bridge. Do piercings inside your nose heal slower or give you trouble when you have a runny nose?
TBH In regards to slowing down the healing process, I'm really not sure, but my septum certainly does get annoying whenever I have a runny nose!
I luckily didn't have too much trouble at first because I never had a cold during the early months of healing. It's been nearly 2 years with my septum now, and it does get annoying whenever I have a cold, but it's easy to deal with because I can take it out and put it back in when I'm well again.
I always wondered about that with nose piercings! I like nose piercings but I don't think I'll get one; I have normal holes in my ears and a cartilage piercing, and they all still get infected sometimes. I had to start only wearing real silver in my ears because they got so bad, and just recently I had to start wearing earrings constantly again because I was just wearing my cartilage piercing and they started to close. I didn't know about titanium though, I might have to look into that. They've never got infected enough that I've had to let them close, but they just "weep" a lot I guess you could say.
